Ended Clear, but full of surprises

Thursday, 10 July 08, 12:07 PM

Well, I mean, nobody's talking about the Euro anymore. It's done. I mean, maybe one day after you could be talking about it, but well, not really now. I mean, how many players will leave now? I mean, did you ever hear too much about Kahveci Nihat, or Arda Turan, or Rustu recber, or Volkan Demirel? For me, no. Turkey was not in my mind before this Euro started. Or did you hear about Andrei Arshavin, or Roman Palyuchencko? I mean I know the UEFA cup, and that Zenit won, with lots of the russians, but I had no clue about anything Russian or Turkish. So I mean, full of surprises, but for the next 2 months, I will tell you, the big clubs will give many deals out, and lots of players will go. First C. Ronaldo, I think he will move, then I think Robinho, and then lots of players, such as Drogba, and Shevsencko, and Berbatov, and Santa Cruz. There will be lots of transfers, because every team wants the great players, and they will always move.

And I mean, look at these players, they score so many times, but the money, when it reaches the club, they will let them go.

Spain, started confident, ended with glory

Tuesday, 01 July 08, 11:17 PM

Wow, what an amazing last month we had. I mean, July 7, it all started, and now it comes to this?

In overall, I don't think there were too many surprises, except for the fact that England did not qualify(no offense English fans, but I love making fun of them, lol, even if I love their palyers). But you know Spain, we saw how good they were, first against Russia (when we didn't know they good, and they didn't have Arshavin), and then an amazing game against the Swedes, to finally clame their quarter finals slot, and they just kept winning, even with all their subs, against the former Champions, Greece. They looked like they were gonna just put down Italy, but it was not that kind of game. Probably one of the Spanish's worst game so far, this year, and for sure in the Euro. But you know, the Azurri, coming to Penalties, ouch...

So Spain went on to fight the Great Russians, who they had played against in the group stage. When everybody saw this game, you would have to say:' This game will be very different then the one in the group round'. But oh no, Russia, they had played so well, against the Dutch, who had done so well in the first games. But Russian play maker, Andrei Arshavin, could not do anything to get past Marcos Senna, meaning the Russians would not get to the finals against the Germans, but the Spanish, who had not one the Euro since 1964.

And what do you know, I am sorry, but this was not going to be a memorable finals, not one bit. Germany, playing horribly. They might have thought they could play vs. the Spanish like they did against the suspended and injured Turkish squad, but they were so wrong! Oh my they could not get past the great Spanish. And Torres, a easy gaol, after horrible Lahm defense, but the defender would not get his goal back in the 90th, like vs. the Turkish. He would go out, and nothing would happen. I mean wow, you have one goal, in the first half. AND THEN IT"S DONE!!!!

Well, you have to fell good for Spain, they get their second. See you @ the great WORLD CUP!!!

Or the Olympics...

Germany or Spain and How it all started

Friday, 27 June 08, 07:59 PM

What do you think about this one?

Wow. I would have never predicted this one. I mean in Group A, I thought that Portugal would do very well, not Turkey. lol, well, about that...

What I thought would happen(What really happened(In parenthesis)):

Group A:

1.Portugal(Portugal)

2. Czech(Turkey)

3. Switzerland(Czech)

4. Turkey(Switzerland)

Group B:

1. Germany(Croatia)

2.Croatia(Germany)

3. Austria(Austria)

4. Poland(Poland)

Group C:

1. Netherlands(Netherlands)

2. France(Italy)

3.Italy(Romania)

4. Romania(France)

Group D:

1. Spain(Spain)

2. Sweden(Russia)

3. Russia(Sweden)

4. Greece(Greece)

And then what do you know, another Suprising time... just like 04', except Greece? Both Blues, oues.

After the group stage:

Germany vs. Portugal: Very hard to call, after match for the Germans vs. the Croatians. Maybe Portugal, but really 50/50.

Croatia vs. Turkey: Croatia, I knew about the comeback kings, not from the game vs. Switzerland but the game vs. Czech. Unbelievable, but I really thought Croatia played so well.

Netherlands vs. Russia: To tell you the truth, after I saw Russia lose 4-1, then a pretty bad match vs. Greece, I thought they would get completely crushed by the Dutch who did so well in the Group Stage. I knew that the Russians played great against the Swedes, but I just was thinking that Netherlands played amazing vs.the World cup finalists.

Spain vs. Italy: I'll tell you the truth. I am not a fan at all of Italy. I really like the players of Spain, but I am also not the biggest fan of Spain, in general, even thought Fabregas is probably my favorite player. But I was going to say Spain, maybe by 2 goals.

What happened:

Germany-Portugal: 3-2

Croatia-Turkey:1-1(1-3)

Netherlands-Russia:1-3

Spain-Italy:0-0(4-2)

SEMI-FINALS:

Germany vs. Turkey: To tell it to you straight, Germany, Turkey had way to many suspensions and injuries. Sorry Turks, no way, even for Comeback kings.

Russia vs. Spain: Spain did not play too well against Italy, and then Russia, wow! Amazing team. Of course Kolodin and Tobinshkiy were suspended. Maybe slight win for Russia.

What happened:

Germany-Turkey:3-2

Oh my, this game settled on the 90th minute! Really, mostly it was Turkey who were the comeback kings. Lahm, what a goal! And thunderstorm in Basel, whoo! 2 goals missed by the cameras, lol, that's funny... But Tukey played well, they even scored the opening goal! One thing Germany will have to look for in the Final is there Defense. Spain or Russia both have great attack.

Russia-Spain:0-3

That is just tooooo bad... Russia beat Sweden. Then BEAT NETHERLANDS!!!!! AND THEN, Completely... got beaten by the Spanish. I just don't get it. I know Kolodin, and maybe Torbinskiy, and now they were missing 'the Kolodin super shot from 40 yards'. But still, Arshavin and Palyuchencko, Not Being Able To Score!? What? Doesn't really make sense, does it? And then Guiza does? Wow... Guiza, how many misses did he have against Italy, even a penalty! All reversed.

WE SHALL SEE!!!! SPAIN VS. GERMANY!!!!!!! THE SPANISH VS. THE GERMANS!!!!! THIS SUNDAY! WATCH IT!! BALLACK OR SILVA!!! KLOSE OR VILLA!!!!PODOLSKI OR TORRES!!!! LEHMANN OR CASILLAS!!! HARD! TO CALL!

Group Stage

Thursday, 19 June 08, 09:39 PM

So the group stage was not all that surprising:

In group A, every started pretty normally, but the last match day for this round was completely different than expected. To start, the already qualified, Portugal, lost to the already disqualified Switzerland, by 2-0, after 2 goals by the great Yakin. Next, Czech and Turkey played, and this match started with a half with one goal, and then a half with four. Koller got his team with a header goal(only thing he can really do), and then Plasil got a 2nd great goal for Czech Republic. But Czech had not yet qualified, and they would see after 70 minutes that they were wrong about the Turks. A supposed to be 'consilation' goal came from Turan. And then that goal would help Turkey get even another one, just a couple minutes from the end, after Cech dropped it, and Nihat put a small touch for the equalizer. But this game would not be the first to go to Penalty kicks, in the group stage, nor it would be one which would go to extra time. Instead, just like the Turk's last match versus Switzerland, Nihat would be able to get through onside, only 2 minutes after his tie goal, and would put an amazing top corner shot, which was unstoppable for anyone to block! So this was surely the end of the match. Nihat stunned everybody, even his own players, but the action would not stop here... Czech's last chance would come after normal time, and something stupid was about to happen. After Czech's chance was unable to do anything for them, and it had gone out for a goal kick, Volkan Demirel, the Turkish keeper, pushed down Koller, and, oops, the assistant ref saw him, and RED CARD!!!!!!!! He just let his team down for the quarter finals...

In group B, just to put every thing simple, it was not too different then the predictions, just that Germany and Croatia would change, Croatia 1rst, and Germany 2nd.

In group C, the group of Death, Netherlands were completely the dominator, beating both '06 finalists by a 3-goal margin. Leaded by the Great Sneijder, and lots of other players, they were able to advance very very easily. The other three didn't have such a great time. Romania looked very good, after getting 1 point versus France and Italy. On group stage, match day 3, the games were closer than ever.  The stats were like the following: Romania wins vs. Netherlands(which could have happened because the dutch had nothing to play for) and they qualify with the Dutch. Romania loses, relies on France an Italy: win gets them through. And oh well, Romania were not able to hold of the powerful Netherlands even when they didn't have anything to play for, and Italy won on a maybe a 'half lucky win'. That might be because they first got a penalty from a careless push by Abidal, getting a red card. So from like the 25 minute, France was 1 goal down, and 1 player down, so it was pretty much done, and then Italy got a free kick, where 'the great(not very good actually) freekick taker' Daniel De Rossi took it, and it just got a small deflection on Henry's foot, and then went in, after Coupet had dove the wrong way. So really in overall, Italy might have not exactly deserved this win, France had just had a real horrible day: Red card, penlaty kick, own goal... lol... But if you want a horrible day, Do Not Have It During The Euro(or the World cup).

In group D, I have to tell you something: This was very wierd! So first matches: Spain vs Russia: 4-1 and Sweden vs. Greece: 2-0. All normal, right? Next: Spain vs. Sweden: 2-1 and Russia vs. Greece: 1-0. Kinda normal, at least I was not thinking Sweden would win, but I knew it would be a close game, and then Greece Russia, I was just saying Russia, because I just thought Greece was kinda bad, except you know 4 years ago, cannot say they were bad, yah? Final match: Spain vs. Greece: 2-1, late winner by Guiza; WHO CARES! This match didn't matter for both teams at all, one team completely done, the other completely advanced, kinda like Switzerland Portugal in Group A. And then the wierdest match ever...:  Russia vs. Sweden:... 2-0! In favor of Russia! Wow! I have to tell you, Russia was so much better that game, oh my 20 times!

So a surprising team, here we have the great Swedes who go home, and Russia goes on? whoo... Well, there are always surprising, Greece, ah sorry, not this time, guys, u had ur year, happy? im not sure anymore. sry!
