Hello everybody, I'm new to OleOle and this is my 1st blog. Of course it's going to be about Euro 2008, there is nothing more important to talk about these days. 

 So far I've been quite impressed with the action. Excitement, drama, unexpected blow-outs, standout player performances, all the things you want to see in arguably the best tournament in the international scene. Not many surprises yet, but that's what neutral fans want. Who doesn't want to see a mouthwatering quarterfinal lineup? Portugal, Spain, Holland, and maybe surprisingly Croatia are playing the best football. It's still early I know as Spain and Holland have only played 1 game. Croatia came into the tournament with quite some big hype about their team and so far they haven't dissapointed. One team certainly won't win it all and that is Switzerland after their 2 losses, their second was a heart-breaking one, conceding a late goal to a determind Turkish side. 

 Will France and Italy bounce back and qualify to the next stage? Will Cristiano Ronaldo continue the faboulos season he had with his club and prove once and for all that he can play at the biggest European stage? Will we see another Greece? Will Spain with the super talent they have in their roster choke again? Which players will rise up to the occasion and take the spotlight and maybe raise their market value during this crazy summer transfer season? Those are some of the questions and many more to be answered soon.

 Just sit back and enjoy the Euro 2008 championship :)

As for my predictions for today's matches:

 Italy 2 - 0 Romania - Italy will change half of their starting lineup, more younger legs. I except them to beat a tough Romanian side, with Del Piero and Toni both on the scoresheet.

 Holland 1- 1 France - Hard one to call, so im going with the draw. The highly-rated Benzema to score 1st and Van Nistlerooy to equalize.
