It's been a while since we last spoke to you and we want to apologise for that.

A lot has happen since October and with so many new blogs, members, features... the OleOle network is growing so fast that human minds (or fingers in this case) can't process fast enough. But I guess this is excellent, right?

CUSTOMS FEES

We already bought and send the prizes for the Montlhy Winners of November of course and I'm sure they might be enjoying their prizes already.

We did have a problem with one winner of the month of October and I'll use this e-mail to clarify things. He is from Brazil and we did send his shirt. But when the prize got to his home country the Brazilian Customs wanted to charge him almost twice the value of the shirt in order for him to receive it. Ridiculous right? But unfortunately OleOle can't be responsible for every countries local taxation policies. We tried everything we could but there wasn't a simple solution for the problem. So make sure you're aware about your countries policies for foreign products coming in before requesting your prize. You never had any problems with Western Europe or North America but everyone else should be aware of this possibility.

MONTH COMBINE

The months of December and January, for most of the Leagues, are shorter than the others. Therefore the Fantasy Football management team had a meeting and decided to combine the scores of both months (December and January) and announce the winners in the beginning of February. That did not only made the competition more exciting because it builds expectation but also gave some managers the chance to catch up and make a run to reach the top.

In February we will send out the e-mails announcing the winners of the combine December/January for each of of our 6 leagues.

Very important news about our Fantasy Football game!!!

The scoring dates are not the same because the leagues start in different dates. So here are the scoring dates for each one of our Fantasy Football leagues:

Another important point is that there is still time to sign up for the Early Bird Sign Up Prize but you must take action NOW!!! Registration closes on August 14^th at 11:59PM (GMT) and the prize is two (2) match tickets to the club match of your choice – up to €500 in value.

But if you miss this first chance to win don’t get your panties in a bunch, you can still register for any of the leagues until September 14^th and if you’re really a great manager you have good chances to win our seasonal prizes!!!

But some people have been asking questions about some of the features and on how to set up their teams. So if you also have a question you can write it in the comments box and we'll answer it.

The first one was about making substitutions and it came from our friend Stephen Byron.

He was having a hard time bringing in a player from the bench.

So here is your answer Stephen:

Once the season starts you will be able to easily manage your subs. But for now you will have to transfer that player out and then transfer the one you want to substitute too. Then you will have to acquire them again. The transfers are free until the season starts. It's a little complicated but just for now. As I said, once we get the seasons going you will be able to do that sub much easier. Just be aware that the season start on different dates.

Hello Fantasy Football Players,

We had an exciting 2007/2008 season. We would like to thank all of you for participating and playing our Fantasy Football Game.

Right now, the Grand Winner of the season - Claudio - is on his way to watch the Euro 2008 Final and all the other prize winners are being contacted and prizes are being sent on a daily basis. Lots of prizes!!! More than 60 Official Replica Shirts were given away to the best managers along the season.

We also had some problems; that's true. Invalid user e-mails that insistently bounced back, the difficulty in finding some tough football shirts choices and sizes, the impossibility to purchase directly from UK vendors (remember that  OleOle's headquarters is located in the USA), among other internal issues, caused some delay in purchasing and sending some of the prizes.

This is not going to happen next season.

ManoGil who has been a blogger here at OleOle for about a year now, recently became a full time staff member and is now in charge of "taking good care" of  everything related to Fantasy Football prizes. He's got other functions as well,  but we know that he'll make sure everybody receives their prizes from now on.

He will be also be the main person in charge of writing posts here on the Fantasy Football Report Blog to keep all of you updated with useful information about prizes and giving announcements on other cool merchandise that you can get from our main new partner: SoccerPro.com

And very, very soon you will be able to start building your team for next season. We are reformulating the Fantasy Football section to look as sharp and cool as the whole new OleOle is.
