Ajax Confirm Oleguer Signing

Ajax Amsterdam have confirmed today the signing of Barça defender Oleguer Presas. Ajax have arrived at an agreement with the player after the clubs agreed on the deal last week. Oleguer will take a medical on Monday before being presented. He has agreed a deal until 2011 and Ajax will pay Barça €3 million + €2 million for variables.
Oleguer has had his critics among Barça fans but he played 164 games for the club and was a regular in 2004/5 and 2005/6 when Frank Rijkaard's team were at their best. He was also a member of the team that won the Champions League against Arsenal in Paris. Good luck Olly in your new career.

Finally, he is gone, i've never really liked him and cannot beleive that he has made 164 appearances in a Blaugrana shirt...

Oleguer's a little slow, but he's intelligent enough. Maybe a bit short in the attacking department, but he can pull it off. Also, along with Marquez Oleguer could really stick it to the opposition when the hacking at Ronaldinho and Messi would get out of hand. A solid enough player. Best of luck to you, Oleguer.
Seems as if Lyon is really intrested in Eto. .....And The way messi is playing pre-season now i really understand why "The Big Boys" is holding him back from going to Olympics
