As is so often the case we get a player back injured after an international break. This time it is Eidur Gudjohnsen who will miss the games with Athletic Bilbao and Basel due to a muscle injury in his left leg. On the positive side Alexandr Hleb is fit to return to action after being out injured since September 13.
thank God hleb is back, i'll really like to see messi-eto-hleb combinaatn
It was reported that Gudjohnsen ishighly regarded by Guardiola. The coach also has great faith in Valdes, Abidal, Henry and Marquez. However, he seems to be less impressed with Yaya Toure, Bojan, Eto
Sorry for the interruption !!
.....Is there something wrong with Guardiola's evaluation of players ? I hope we don't lose any of our quality players and those don't include those who were highly regarded by the coach !!
hleb much better than gudi
eto better than henry
bojan is a good player he should be given 20 min each game
are u serious with that information...it sounds like a joke but from the way things hav gone, it sounds real and scary
if he decides too go this way, he will hav no excuse wen everything comes down cos this set of his trusted players hav shown all wat they can do....but since he is the HEAD coach, thats the power given too him
"but since he is the HEAD coach, thats the power given too him "
I agree, whatever we all think as fans and what the board think, Pep analysis the games and players every day and every game in detail so he should decide who to trust in. Shame to hear about Guddy however on his day, Hleb is way more effective in Barca's system. Should be great some more Saturday football!!
Any news regarding Barcelona's check from FIFA or UEFA?
I recall that reimbursing clubs for medical expenses associated with player injuries incurred on international duty was part of the agreement reached between FIFA/UEFA and the G-14.

not a massive issue at all. good hleb is back. he needs to get comfortable and consistent. a healthy and comforable hleb is far better than gudi.
great news on hleb. really interested to see his contribution, only saw glimpses in pre-season. unlucky for gudi...he was even getting gametime and goals! oh well...agreed though...would much rather hleb.
