Leo Messi

Messi, is indeed from another planet.
just let ronaldo enjoy this year while it lasts, Coz with Messi around, ronaldo won't see another Ballon D'Or or Fifa world player of the year.

Nic, what do you make of the news that luis medina cantalejo will be officiating the Clasico?

It looks like this award is based on last year's club achievement and the best player on that club gets the award automatically ! I'm not sure how the FIFA Player Of the Year is judged . If the same critirium is used , it will go to Ronaldo otherwise Messi may get it . Nevertheless, if Barça keep playing at the current level and barring injury to Messi , Messi will definitely get it next year without any doubt !!

Messi doesn't need any awards to prove that he is the best...Most ppl already know he is the best...

The reason everyone votes for ronaldo is coz hes got good skillz but messi is a better player all round he scores goals creates chances and does skillz but ronaldo just does skillz and scores wat about team play hes not the only player out there i think kaka and xavi are way better then ronaldo

lets just put this issue to bed. almost everyone (like i mean almost any football fan ive come into contact with) will admit messi is a better player in terms of talent and ability. but CR did something quite out of the ordinary last year with his amount of goals, and lets not be ignorant and arrogant barca supporters, he has some awesome skill, great pace, and instinct around the goal. he was instrumental in winning the CL and the EPL, despite it being true he is NOT a big game player. if u score 42 goals, win right now the most difficult league, and the european CL, what more can u do to get it? he most likely will win the FIFA award in Dec, so lets not redebate it then.

messi's day will come, and soon. so i really hope this is the last i hear on this topic

This award must have been based on statics from last year and part of this year. If this is the case then it has to go to ronaldo. While Messi is absolutely a better player, The EPL is more famous than La Liga, and ronaldo scored more goals. Do I think he should have got it over Messi? I don't think anyone should have. In future years, the world will belong to messi, and not even maradona will be able to compare with him.
