Thierry Henry against Betis

Pep Guardiola has made just one change to the squad he used for Sunday's game at Sporting Gijon. Thierry Henry has recovered from his throat infection and returns in place of Pedro Rodriguez. Given Andres Iniesta's excellent performance on the left wing on Sunday Guardiola may not want to meddle too much with the team; however, Guardiola seems determined to give Henry chances in the hope that the Frenchman will eventually regain his form. I don't know why but I have a sneaking feeling that Henry will play at centre forward tomorrow in place of Samuel Eto'o.

The other big question is whether Sergio Busquets will be given another chance. I have to say that I think he should play. I know people are worried that Toure Yaya will get fed up and leave if he keeps getting left out; however, there is nothing better than some competition for places, and if Toure is not capable of proving himself in training and with the minutes he does get to play, then maybe he is not the player we thought he was. Personally I think Toure will recover his place, but he doesn't seem in the best form at the moment. At least he has until Christmas to find his form and when he does I'm sure there will be no stopping him.

Betis arrive at Camp Nou still awaiting their first league goal of the season. So far they have only managed two 0-0 draws, with Getafe and Sevilla, and a 0-1 defeat at home to Recreativo on the opening day of the season. Injuries to Edu, who scored twice in last season's 3-2 win over Barça at the Ruiz de Lopera stadium, and Xisco have weakened the Betis attack, but there will still be danger from Hugo Pavone and ex-blaugrana Sergio Garcia who signed for Betis this summer from Zaragoza for €10 million.

Barça will be looking to build on the 1-6 win in Gijon and Guardiola will be trying his best to make sure the players don't relax. Unfortunately another low attendance is expected as the game is being shown live on Spanish TV, the weather has been miserable today and the forecast says tomorrow will be the same, and also the game coincides with the end of the city's La Merce fiestas. Whatever the case there are no excuses for not picking up the three points. Last season Barça won the corresponding game 3-0 with a goal from Henry and two from Ronaldinho.

Barça´s 18-man squad: Valdés, Pinto, Alves, Puyol, Marquez, Piqué, Caceres, Abidal, Toure, Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Keita, Gudjohnsen, Iniesta, Messi, Bojan, Eto'o Henry.

Possible starting XI: Valdés, Alves, Marquez, Puyol, Abidal; Xavi, Sergio Busquets, Keita; Messi, Henry, Iniesta.

My Prediction: Barça 3 Betis 1.

Betis must be getting angry, I predict at least one goal for them, even if its an own goal, but several for Barca.

2-2 DRAW , i am really disappointed with the number of appearances that toure made so far , i wish he could play more often as he was one of the best 3 players of last season . i predict a tough game for barca and a very strong opponent good luck for barca and i hope my prediction doesn't really happen

On Toure: - as far as I know he is completely recovered from the back injury (unless there is something they are not telling us).
- as for his form he has played in the two defeats at Wisla (90 mins) and at Numancia (57 mins), and then he played 25 mins at home to Sporting Lisbon when he made a mistake in marking when Sporting scored. I know this is not a lot to judge him on but we should remember Guardiola will see the players every day in training and will therefore have a much better idea than we do about the state of everybody's fitness and form; if he's not picking Toure it must be for a reason.
Having said that I agree that Toure had an excellent first season and there is no way I want him to leave. I praised his play and especially his courage many times last season and I am confident that soon we will see him back to his best.

apprehensive regarding this match...im sadly just so used to inconsistency that although i have every hope in the world, there is just that small sense of fear that something will go wrong in the last minute! however, i have more faith than fear...i know the boys will pull through

predicting 3-0

I completely agree, I think Toure and everyone has to fight for places. Henry played bad, he got dropped, same Abidal and Toure aswell. There can be no player complacancy in a title-winning squad.

I still dont think out defence is good enough or balanced enough with mainly our left backs positioning criminal at times. Our CBs are good on the floor but any high balls we stil struggle with much like Arsenal but in order to stop balls from being swung in we need top full backs and barca have only 1 good full back. Dont get carried away, Barca played well last game but any team who lets Messi score a free header 6 yards out should be shot, buried and relegated in that order =D

2-1 is my prediction though!

I have always been saying and always will that a top defence is K E Y to winning A N Y T H I N G.

Barca's is not good enough in my opinion. Yes we won, but if we are going to win La Liga we are going to have to ride out games sometimes where we can just about score 1 goal and will need to rely on our defence sometimes. This defence cannot defend against a decent attack with pace. Lets hope Pepe gets them working their asses off. We won, but just about.

Eto, great 1st half, anonomous 2nd half, Iniesta tried his best, Messi frustrates me sometimes - PASS THE BALL!! - Eto was moaning at him and I dont blame him. Keita and Toure was unecessary against an average team at home and for some reason even with TWO Defensive Midfeilders Betis seemed to have half the Barca half to work in 2nd half!? Xavi wasnt his influential self but hes a top player no doubt. Decent performance but it was really a game of two halves. Hopefully Pep will give them a good bollocking or we could of easily drawn or lost this game. Great to see Bojan about but I still think he's not ready to start every game and I like this policy of easing him into the first team.

Hey Titi, Messi passed for the first two goals and also gave a great pass to Bojan to put him through near the end. I thought he had a very good game tonight.
