It's not been made official yet but this morning El Sport have reported that El Clasico between Real Madrid and Barça will be brought forward to Saturday 2nd May with an 8pm kick off. The move makes sense as Barça have to play the Champions League 2nd leg at Chelsea on the following Wednesday May 6th. We now know the kick off times of our next five games:
Barça - Sevilla - Wednesday 22 April 10pm
Valencia - Barça - Saturday 25 April 10pm
Barça - Chelsea Tuesday 28 April 8.45pm
Real Madrid - Barça Saturday 2 May 8pm
Chelsea - Barça Wednesday 6 May 8.45pm
Anyone fancy a two-week vacation on a desert island?

ibelieve with aluggageof trips barca is to encounter ,they have towith afantastic trophy.
that schedule is so brutal. we def go for the win in sevilla, full team. give the attackers a break in valencia, go for a draw, full force vs Chelsea, then its a toughie.
do we go full force vs Madrid with only 4 days before the trip to Stanford Bridge? or do we go with a more defensive team to Bernabeu and play for a draw? this schedule def brings up some fundamentally important questions.
thoughts?
i'd only head to that desert island if it happens to be one with satellite tv or a great internet connection...otherwise you couldn't drag me there...
also, i say we go for a win in every game...i think Chelsea is doing the same with their league games, thus will be roughly as tired as we will be (there in 3 competitions too), and we need to keep the pressure on Madrid till we play them. if we have 6 points going into that game we can kill them off...
I think a lot will depend on the result madrid get tonight. If they lose id say we can rest the likes of Messi and Iniesta for the Sevilla game. Whatever happens, there is no doubt in my mind that we have to go full throttle against Madrid. Two very good reasons for that.
a) Last year's loss needs to be avenged, and even earlier this season at the Camp Nou, they played like faggots kicking and pushing like sissies. Too much at stake not to give 200%
b) A win there will virtually ensure La Liga comes to Barcelona coz even we get 4 points out of the next 2 games and they get 6 we can extend our lead to 7 pts with a win in madrid and they will still have valencia, villareal both to play while we'll only have Villareal.. I say got all out...
That is a crazy ass schedule and i tell you what, IF we do end up winning the treble (and i think it will be VERY VERY hard) then it will be one of the greatest feats in modern footballing history.
I personally think that Chelsea might just get the better of us over two legs because the league takes priority. We cannot risk losing it to Madrid and I think Madrid is going to continue to make it very hard for us to rest any players. I fully expect them to beat Getafe tonight. On a level playing field we beat Chelsea any day, but this wont be a level playing field because even though they are in 3 comps as well they do not have anywhere near the same run as us. They can still rest players in the league and win their games. The only glimmer i see is that they are missing both Carvalho and Cole for the first leg at the Nou Camp. If we can take advantage of this and manage a 3 goal cushion then we wont need too much effort in the 2nd leg. If we dont get a good scoreline or draw then the 2nd leg away, following the Madrid game, will be VERY difficult. I dont think for a second that Pep is going to go for any draws, not his style. He will go for the win, every game, as he has done so far.
Certainly it can be done, and if anybody can do it, it's us.....but I am a realist and I prefer not to dream. In my mind we will win the league and the copa and it will be a hugely successful season for a new manager and the start of a great cycle. Next season we will add some QUALITY depth so that we can rest players at times like these and still have very high quality players on the pitch. Ribery, Hernanes and Zhirkov are my favs, we sign those 3 players, sell Guddy and Hleb and we have the best team on earth.
I think it might be a good idea to rest Messi and Xavi for Sevilla's game . Sevilla will be without their goalkeeper and RB Adriano . For Valencia, leave Messi for the second half if needed. I would go full force to exact some revenge on Madrid . By then , depending on their results against Getafe and Sevilla , Madrid could have dropped some points . If we beat them at their place the league would just about over then we can concentrate on the CL . It is easier said than done though but it is NOT impossible !!
This schedule is damn tough, we've done it before and did well, so we should do well again.
Madrid should lose a couple of points before we meet Chelsea. which would allow us to rest some players and give fringe players a chance.
The players all know what's at stake and they won't want to give up any of the possible silverware, so they'll be very motivated.
Sevilla without Palop and Adriano are significantly weakened
I'd only take that desert Island vacation on the 28th of May, if you offer still stands, nic
If it meant losing to Chelski and the Copa Del Rey, then I much rather Barca thrash Madrid at the Burnacow.
Well the good news is that Chelsea are also fighting in two competitions. I really don't think some of you should worry as much as you do. It wont be easy by any means but the way the season has gone so far I think we are in very good shape to win it all.
If we need to rest any players I think it should be against Sevilla considering it's a home game.
On a side note I think we might see a fired up Eto'o in the next few league games since Villa is only 3 goals behind him now in the race for top scorer.
chelsea might be in 3 cups like us but their schedule dosent demand much energy like us besides, they definitely know the champs league is their top priority while we havnt a top prority now. also animalistic untiring beasts like drogba and essien can play throughout a whole year non-stop
i think we should rest certain players like messi and henry against sevilla, we can make do with iniesta on the left and pep should really tense up the motivation for the game...then full force against valencia with possible for players like iniesta which means a strong midfield, full force against chelsea 1st leg and madrid, then we see how it goes.....
its all hypothetical anyway, if pep will be great, then he will be great
I say rest Messi vs Sevilla since its at home and if Madrid drop pts b4 the trip to Valencia we should rest more players before the Chelsea game.
@Layibiya, Drogba has played about half a year and Essien only like 2 months so the real animals are Alves and Xavi, who never miss a game.
all the best
i need a boot
