Toure And Milito Face Operations Tomorrow

Monday, 12 May 08, 10:23 PM · Comments (6)

Gabi Milito and Toure Yaya both go under the knife tomorrow (Tuesday) for operations on their injuries. Milito will have his cruciate ligament in his right knee seen to by Dr. Ramon Cugat at 2pm at the Clínica Quirón. While at 3.30pm Toure will have the operation on his slipped disk that he has bravely put off since March. Dr Enric Caceres will do Toure's operation at the Instituto Dexeus. Club doctor Ricard Pruna will give a press conference tomorrow afternoon to report on how the operations have gone. If all goes well Toure should be fit and well for the start of the preseason, but Milito is not expected to return until November. It's a shame the season has ended like this for the players who turned out to be Barça's best two signings of last summer.

Yaya has been immense for us this season. I really hope that his operation is a success and he can perform as well in 2008/09.

And as the t-shirts the players wore on Sunday said, "Animo Milito"

yaya is wasting his time at barca. he should move to arsenal! we need him more than barca, especially when barca will have a total system change.

They should all be better and ready to go come next season. Fingers crossed we wont have as many injuries as we did this campaign.

Get well soon gabi and Yaya - both did outstanding work this season for us.

Agree with you all, they worked really great this season. Toure is just a monster, I hope he will stay with us for a long time. We will miss Gabi very much, wish him fast recovery.. Cheers.
