Xavi, Puyol And Messi In Fifa's Ideal Team

Three of the best: Xavi, Puyol and Messi

Fifa have announced their ideal team according to votes made on their internet page and Barça are the only club to have as many as three players chosen in the best XI. Xavi Hernandez, Carles Puyol and Leo Messi have all had their efforts recognised by Fifa's readers. However, playing the way we are at the moment I think there would be a good case for Alves, Eto'o, Iniesta and Toure to also be included. The full Fifa team is: Iker Casillas; Sergio Ramos, Terry, Puyol, Lahm; Xavi, Gerrard, Kaká, Ribery; Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sub CRonaldo for Eto'o, Ribery for Henry, Kaka for Iniesta, Gerrard for Yaya, Lahm for Abidal, Terry for Marquez, Ramos for Alves and Casillas for Valdez.

now, i'm sure we have a better right back than madrid who were claiming to have the best. their whole team is now almost inferior to ours position for position

Dani Alves is technically much better player than the overrated Ramos. I just don't understand the hype about this guy. He can't dribble. He can't create plays. He can't defend.If he were playing for any another club, nobody would have paid any attention to him !!

ballack, deco?? wow, are u kidding me. those dying stars have been bad, nay, AWFUL for chelsea. that would have been a damn joke. and henry, also a very solid no. we taking about the best players of 2008, not 2004 or 3.

the only one i strongly disagree is lahm. that should have gone to evra no doubt. otherwise its a pretty fine, except there is no true striker there, which makes it slightly unrealistic.

but overall i dont really care, these stupid best 11s are so unimportant.

Yea, I agree with most of this. However, I feel like Lahm, as a defender, isn't as exceptional as some other defenders out there. Namely, Toure or Clichy of Arsenal or Rio Ferdinand of Man U. Also, I feel like Ribery should be subbed by the likes of Wright-Phillips, Robinho, Nasri, or Defoe of Tottenham. I'm not sure if this ideal line-up isn't so much big names as it is individual talent.
