Xavi Signs Until 2014

It's official. Xavi Hernandez signed this afternoon the contract that will keep him at Barça until June 2014 when he will be 34 years old. The cancellation clause of Xavi's new contract has been put at €80 million and he will become the third highest paid player at Barça after Messi and Eto'o although the exact figures were not given. Next to sign a new contract should be Sergio Busquets.

For me, Xavi is the best midfielder in the World...
I love xavi, consistently one of the best midfielders in all the years I remember him playin, that's quite an achievement considering the situation of modern football now where more physical players are favoured
Also, I think he's the type of player that can play till when he's 40

this makes me incredibly happy, even more so after reading he is the 3rd best paid player, above henry. i was going to say that henry earning more than him was a joke that honestly disgusted me.
no player deserves this more and he has been my favorite player for years and years and one i have always believed and professed to others as the bet center mid in the world. i could not be more delighted for him to earn all those millions, each one he totally deserves. i would have given him any amount of dough and he would deserved all of it for his complete dedication and amazing consistency.
