No mercy. Sol beats FC Gold Pride for the third time this season.

After not being able to hold up an advantage againt the Breakers on Wednesday (the game ended 1-1), FC Gold Pride couldn't handle Marta and her LA Sol one more time and lost 2-0 at the Home Depot Center.

I have to say I didn't quite like the way Pride played this game. Rachel Buehler wasn't the leader she normally is for the back line and Carrie Dew idn't have a good day against Marta.

FC Gold Pride couldn't stop Marta from scoring this timeIn the middle we maintained the good passing and possession but we lacked creativity. I believe that should be Tina DiMartino's responsibility but I also feel that it's quite a burden for such a young player to carry on her own. Maybe that will improve when Sissi starts playing.

The attack was totally neutralized by the Sol's defense. No Sinclair, no Milbrett, no Arakawa and none of the subs - Adriane or Weimer - were able to break the excellent Los Angeles defense.

Well, it was tough. They deserved to win. We deserved to lose.

Better luck next time!
