Manchester United Win Against Middlesbrough 4-1 at Old Trafford

Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez of Manchester UnitedThe recent English Premier League match of Manchester United against Middlesbrough at Old Trafford brought a big smile to Manchester United head coach Sir Alex Ferguson, who was all smiles following the 4-1 victory of the Red Devils against Middlesbrough.

Manchester United midfielder Nani was the first to score when he fired a rocket of a shot from 30 meters out to beat Middlesbrough keeper Mark Schwarzer. Middlesbrough was able to get back in the game soon after when Aliadiere put a header into the Manchester United goal, the first goal conceded at Old Trafford this season. With the game tied at 1-1, Middlesbrough's Stewart Downing almost gave the lead for Boro, but his header sailed wide. Stewart Downing eventually made a costly error in the Middlesbrough back when he gave away the ball to Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, who smashed it into the goal to give ManU a 2-1 advantage.

Carlos Tevez then added two more goals, combining with Wayne Rooney in both occasions to earn his goals. The Rooney-Tevez combination indeed provided some magic in the Manchester United offensive line, and their sublime timing and passing really worked out to provide a lot of scoring chances.

Manchester United collect all 3 points, and share the lead with Arsenal at the top of the English Premier League points standings with 26 points.

Manchester United will have a tough task in their next English Premier League match as they become visitors at the Emirates Stadium for a match against Arsenal. It will be a clash between the top 2 of the English Premier League, and the definite winner will indeed have solo lead of the English Premier League standings.
