Arsenal's Green Kit? Uh-oh I think I'm having a flashback!

There's a rumour going around saying that Arsenal will resurrect the green away kit. If that's true it would be a bad PR for the Gunners. Seriously. Just look at this top.
In the 1982/1983 season Arsenal wore a horrible green change kit and the Gunners finished in 10th place in the old Football League First Division (yes, there was something
else before the Premier League was created). So there's not even a tradition excuse for bringing back the awkward combination of navy blue 
and green as the away kit for the club.
I really hope this is just a rumour. I'm not an Arsenal fan and I could care less about what happens at the Emirates but it would be a little weird to see Fabregas, Eduardo and Van Persie posing for a release photo like these blokes from the 82/83.

I don't mind the kit, but arsenal should definitely not have it. It's green! Arsenal and green!?? Come on you green's. No, doesn't work,
Although am MAn utd fan... The green kit is not good at all. The current yellow one is nice.Or they should make it dark blue like the one they got two years ago i think.
Well the kit isn't that bad although it doesn't really suit Arsenal. There have been a lot worse, remember the ugly blue kit from 02? My away kits in recent years have been good. Having the Yellow/Black thing back wouldn't be bad either.

you're basically referring to the green kit having a curse. so you're also saying we should be winning the league this year, because our kit this year is the same as of 20 years ago, in which we won the league. think about what you're saying

Dream on....and don't believe all that you read in the papers, just cause Phil 'Going Down' Brown said Cesc spat doesn't make it so...he also said a few other things which have been proven to be blatant lies...Cesc is going nowhere
Thanks for this. I'm a United fan and I remember the Milk Cup semi second leg at Old Trafford fondly as it was the first time I ever stood on the terraces having always before been in the seats. I always said Arsenal were wearing a green kit that night and have been told by Arsenal fans in the past that they have never done so. Now I have the proof. Thanks again.

i live in toronto and i found this kit in a store the other day. it was the only one i’ve seen in toronto and i snatched it up for $70, much less than a kit usually costs. when i was asking the guy who owns the store about it, explaining how there were rumors about this kit, but in the end they went with the blue and white pinstripes for away / 3rd kit respectively, he said arsenal would wear the green kit for special occasion games. which i think is malarky.
