Who has the balls

Monday, 29 December 08, 01:15 AM

Interest in the Woodland camp is sky high as the Wildcats look to kickoff the 2009 Campaign. A boatload of freshmen have reported and it's up to Crafton and Harper to mold these youngsters into a valid squad for the Woodland future. The varsity looks to build on a disappointing 5-12 record in 2008 and look to have the players to return to State competition. Time will tell for the Cats early in the training process....how well Woodland reports and trains will determine how far the Cats can go in 2009.

New season, new players

Sunday, 28 September 08, 02:10 PM

Interesting point comes out of the latest Freshman class at Woodland. Will any of these guys have the balls to make it through tryouts and actually make it into the program?. Middle School soccer is NOT High School soccer and Woodland Middle has had 3 coaches in three years and not much luck in games.......Sorry to say it, but the large percentage of Hispanic players doesn't mean a fucking thing!!!....can they pass class and make the grades needed to play for Woodland?....sorry it's not park ball...........wearing a Real Madrid or Man United  jersey just means your a fan, not a player.......can all these closet Chivas fans actually turn out to be players for Woodland?......time will tell..........

no off season

Tuesday, 01 July 08, 03:41 AM

it's been awhile since we update the ole ole site, because our PR Department has been focussing on the My Space site instead, but Woodland finished the 2008 season with a 5-12 overall record and did not make the State playoffs for the first time in 2 years. Refreshing was the player of now Sophomore Garrett Livingood who was voted to the All-Bartow County team along with departed Senior goalkeeper Taylor Bryson....a huge problem at Woodland continues to be the lack of club soccer players, lets hope Woodland can reverse this trend before it is to late ...

Looking north

Sunday, 23 March 08, 01:33 PM

Adairsville has made progress over the last few years, but no way will they be able to go into Woodland for Senior Night and come away with a win. The annual Cartersville derby sees Woodland's first game at the Complex in what promises to be a great night!!......

Early Season

Sunday, 17 February 08, 12:57 AM

Way to early in the season for the pundits to say that Woodland has had it. No way!!, we've played the #4 team for 5A and the #8 team for 4A and don't see anybody else in Bartow doing that. LFO doesn't stand a chance, cause the lads are still reeling from the action on Harmon Field in Dalton. LFO is next on the hit list, then Northwest, then pack the ground vs Chapel Hill...........

D1 signings

Saturday, 09 February 08, 09:05 PM

an interesting week for the Cats that saw em go against a side with four D1 signings and one going to Clemson and not for summer camp. A former player says we are shit, but is not playing and is caught in a case of drunken senioritis?

Scrimmage time

Saturday, 02 February 08, 03:53 AM

Depending on who you read and what pre-season poll, #4 North Cobb comes into Woodland for a scrimmage match on Thrusday Feb 7. North Cobb is picked by many to be a fore runner for a 5A title as the Cats look to return to the State Tournament for the third time. Should be a good match,,but alass, it's still practice and these two squads would never match up region or State level.

Pre-season

Saturday, 26 January 08, 03:31 AM

Woodland is going after some big guns with matches against #4 North Cobb for a pre-season scrimmage and a away date at always powerful Dalton. Should be a great opening test for the home opener Feb 12th against Armuchee. Leave us any words of encouragement.

This and that

Monday, 21 January 08, 02:38 PM

Just a few thoughts on the local sides,

Woodland should be tough this year, returning a good core group that went to State last year. A few new hungry players and a all County keeper.

Cartersville-Beat by Woodland the last two times out, solid younger group

Cass- bunch of overrated park players.

Adairsville, nothing up north
