Man U calmly waited for Chelsea and Liverpool to fall in their own mistakes and before one spell Cristiano Ronaldo's favourite hair gel brand the Red Devils jumped to the top of the table. This Saturday Everton will try to upset Man United at Old Trafford. It seems improbable but it could happen. The Toffees have been a solid and consistent team this season and even though they're 10 points away from reaching the top 4 they can already see Arsenal only 5 points ahead of them.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Man United get another win 2-1

The thugs of Stoke City got crashed by the Rovers in their last match and now the Potters is once again flirting with the relegation zone. A draw against Man Utd at home would be welcome.

Manchester Utd main squad comes back to the Premier after winning the FIFA Club World Cup. Rooney was crowned as the best footballer of the tournament but now it's time to catch up and not lose the table leaders from sight.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Man U win on the road 0-2

Premier League Match Preview: Tottenham v. Manchester United

Live coverage of the Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United match on Saturday, 13 December, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. The Spurs are still struggling a little but RedSchnapps are doing a good in keeping the lads focused and the results continue to come (with one or other rock in the way).

It's Man U that are still failing to prove why they are one of the best teams in the word. Soon Alex Fergunson's squad will battle in Japan for the tile of best club in the world but they are really finding it hard to stay close to Chelsea and Liverpool at the top of the table.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Tottenham come strong and win 3-2

Premier League Match Preview: Manchester United v. Sunderland

Wednesday, 03 December 08, 02:46 AM

Live coverage of the Manchester United vs. Sunderland match on Saturday, 06 December, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Red Devils host the Black Cats at Old Trafford in the week number sixteen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Man U did what the fans expected and even with Ronaldo ridiculously seing a red card, Rooney gave the team an important win. With Sunderland's latest form a win this weekend is an obligation.

Sunderland was crashed by Bolton and nothing seems to work for Roy Keane's side. Maybe it's time for a new manager to take over and try to save the Black Cats from relegation.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Man United win 2-0

Premier League Match Preview: Manchester City v. Manchester United

Wednesday, 26 November 08, 02:15 PM

Live coverage of the Manchester City vs. Manchester United match on Sunday, 30 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Citizens host the Red Devils at the City of Manchester Stadium in the week number fifteen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. The Derby of Manchester will have two teams in condition that are already familiar for both sides. Manchester City struggling to break the top six and Manchester United once again among the top three and fighting for the title.

Besides esporadic divine moments by Robinho and Ronaldo both teams are not convincing me that they will have the power to achieve their goals. The Citizens won't break into the top four as planned and the Red Devils won't clinch another title either.

Nevertheless a derby is always a derby.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: I hope for a match with a good number of goals and Man Utd win 2-4

Premier League Match Preview: Aston Villa v. Manchester United

Wednesday, 19 November 08, 02:02 AM

Live coverage of the Aston Villa vs. Manchester United match on Saturday, 22 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Villans host the Red Devils at the Villa Park in the week number fourteen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

Aston Villa got a win after two defeats. The good result put the Villans on fifth place but with the same amount of points as Arsenal who is in fourth. The Villans as I've been saying, are the team with more chances to break into the top four this season and if Man U and Arsenal do not watch carefully they will.

Manchester United crushed Stoke City and now the confidence level is up at Old Trafford. But the Red Devils will need all their talents to step up if they want to come out of the Villa Park with a win. A defeat might cause them to drop out of the top four.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Villa gets at least a draw. 2-2

Premier League Match Preview -> Manchester United v. Stoke City

Tuesday, 11 November 08, 03:30 PM

Live coverage of the Manchester United vs. Stoke City match on Saturday, 15 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Red Devils host the Potters at Old Trafford in the week number thirteen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. I believe Manchester United does not want to win the EPL this season. I can't see the same fire that they had last season. They are probably suffering from after-title-syndrome. A type of lethargic behaviour that is pretty contagious. They are among the top four because the quality of the team is still the same and the combined results are helping them.

On the other hand Stoke City is on a surprising rampage. In the last 6 matches the Potters won 10 points and the wins against Tottenham and Arsenal certainly boosted the lads' confidence to dream with another season in the top flight. But can they beat Man U at Old Trafford? Certainly NOT.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Ronaldo scores two and Man Utd win 4-0

Premier League Match Preview: Arsenal v. Manchester United

Tuesday, 04 November 08, 11:02 AM

Live coverage of the Arsenal FC vs. Manchester Utd match on Saturday, 8 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when Gunners host the Red Devils at the Emirates Stadium in the week number twelve of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

C'mon you Gooners! That's not what the fans expect of a team who wants to win titles. It would be very normal to lose against Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U, Aston Villa and the draw with Tottenham would have been normal if you were not up by 2 goals for a good part of the match and let them score two goals in less than two minutes. But losing to Hull City at home and now to Stoke City simply kills your chances of an EPL title. Arsenal have a good team but there's something very, very wrong with those lads this season.

Meanwhile it's Manchester United who little by little is finding their spot up the table. They are already in 3rd place and a win over Arsenal would get them even closer to the leaders Chelsea and Liverpool. Cristiano Ronaldo is already at his best form and that for itself means danger for the other teams.

This match can certainly go either way but I'll give Arsenal a chance to redeem themselves on this one.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Arsenal win 2-1

Premier League Match Preview -> Manchester United v. Hull City

Thursday, 30 October 08, 11:45 AM

Live coverage of the Manchester United vs. Hull City match on Saturday, 1 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Red Devils host the Tigers at Old Trafford in the week number eleven of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

Man U is not playing as well as they did last season but Cristiano Ronaldo showed in the last match against West Ham why he's the favourite to win all the Player of Year Awards. Not for his looks as he might wish but for his talent and goals.

The Tigers should not lower their heads. The 0-3 loss to Chelsea was not a big surprise. Hull City know they are doing a lot more than what everyone expected from them. Can they beat Man Utd? Well, didn't they beat Arsenal?  So everything is possible.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Let's not state the obvious which would be 2-0 win for Man U and let's take the risk to say 0-1 to Hull City.

Premier League Match Preview -> Manchester United v. West Ham

Monday, 27 October 08, 11:16 AM

Live coverage of the Man U vs. West Ham match on Wednesday 29 October, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Red Devils host the Hammers at Old Trafford in the week number ten of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

Man United lost a great opportunity to reduce their difference to Chelsea this weekend when they draw with Everton. The team dominated the first half but Sir Alex Fergusson's boys apparently ran out of gas in the second 45 minutes of the match. A win at home over West Ham is now not only  important, it's a necessity for Man Utd.

The excitement with Gianfranco Zola has long passed for the Hammers. After the 0-2 home loss to Arsenal this past weekend West Ham added a third consecutive defeat to their record. The 3-1 win over Fulham seems to be so far way in the past and now the team that was on their way to the top of the table sits in the 10th place and stuck with 12 points.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Hammers get hammered by ManU 3-0
