Oh, Arsenal... This is not the Gunners' year (again). Van Persie saved the team last night with a late goal at Goodison Park but to be really honest, Arsenal deserved to lose the match. The Gunners will now host the Hammers that won 4 matches and got 1 draw putting them in an unbeaten streak since boxing day. The smile is back on the Italian Stallion Gianfranco Zola's face.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: No smiles for Zola on this one. The Arse win 3-1

Transfer Rumours - Cristiano Ronaldo, Andrei Asharvin, David Villa, Ashley Young, Karim Benzema and others

Tuesday, 30 December 08, 10:58 AM

Transfer rumours linking Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid! Well, but that is not new. Andrey Arshavin could be going to Arsenal? Chelsea have eyes on Sevilla's frontman Luis Fabiano? Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona fighting to sign Ashley Young? Gossip, Transfer rumours and more gossip... Yes, this is the 2009 Winter Transfer. So let's now see with America's geniuses of idioticity Paris Hilton and George Bush WHAT'S HOT and WHAT'S BOLLOCKS. (Just because they certainly understand nothing about footie)

1.
Cristiano Ronaldo Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid - Yes, once again there are talkings about the Manchester United's winger and recently named Best Footballer in the world going to the Santiago Bernabeu but I haven't heard a thing from the Spanish club in the past weeks about signing the portuguese, most of the talks come from Ronaldo himself.

Bush says: Bollocks. bush

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.Andrei Arshavin Andrey Arshavin to Arsenal - He almost went to the Spurs in the summer but ened up staying with Zenit for another six months but now the necessity of quality players has put Arsenal as at the top spot of the race to swoop the Russian talent.

Paris says: That's hot.paris

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.Karim Benzema Karim Benzema to Real Madrid - The rumour is hot but it might have to wait until next summer. Benzema himself already stated that he dreams of playing for the Spanish club however Real Madrid directors tend to be interested in every sinlge player in Europe and with the acquisitions of Huntelaar and Diarra and all the other rumours surrounding the club we might have to wait to see Benzema landing there. If Roma decides to sign the injured Ruud Van Nilsteroy than Benzema's move to Satiago Bernabeu could happen earlier.

Not too hot but not simply bollocks either bush paris

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4.
Ashley Young Ashley Young to Real Madrid or Barcelona - Not quite happening. Aston Villa want to secure the lad at least until the end of the season and priced the 23-year old with modest £30m which forced most interested clubs to back up.

Bush says: Bollocks bush

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5.David Villa David Villa to Manchester City - After Robinho accepting the millions offered by City to leave Champions League habitué Real Madrid to join a club that flirts with the relegation zone everything is possible. As they say, everyone has a price and the £60 million offered to almost bankrupt Valencia is quite tempting.

Paris insists on saying: That's hot.paris

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now for other transfer rumours and I'll leave it to you to tell me if it's hot or just

Luis Fabiano - from Sevilla to Chelsea
Adriano - from Inter Milan to Chelsea
Michael Owen - from Newcastle to Manchester City
Jermain Defoe - from Portsmouth to Aston Villa
Jimmy Bullard - from Fulham to Totteham Hotspur

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And where will this lads go? Or, will they go anywhere at all?

Roque Santa Cruz
- from Blackburn to ?
Michael Turner - from Hull City to ?
Craig Bellamy - from West Ham to ?
Kieran Richardson - from Sunderland to ?
Stewart Downing - from Middlesbrough to ?

Premier League Match Preview: Middlesbrough v. Arsenal

Wednesday, 10 December 08, 09:19 AM

Live coverage of the Middlesbrough vs. Arsenal match on Saturday, 13 December, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when Boro host the Gunners at the Riverside Stadium in the week number seventeen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

The result against Hull City last weekend still has a bitter and sour taste in Boro's fans mouths. After taking the lead in the 78th minute the team suffered two goals that crushed the team's and fan's expectations. Now a good result against Arsenal would be very important to keep the Boro in a safe place in the table.

Ebooe was the name of the match agianst Wigan. We all know why right? A horrendous performance and the Gooners didn't spare the bloke. The loud booing and the cheering when Ebooe was subbed left no doubts that Arsenal incapability to maintain a streak of good performances is really bothering the fans.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Boro gets a draw on this one 1-1

Premier League Match Preview: Arsenal v. Wigan Athletic

Wednesday, 03 December 08, 01:08 AM

Live coverage of the Arsenal vs. Wigan match on Saturday, 06 December, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Gunners host the Latics at the Emirates Stadium in the week number sixteen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

It took a great come back on the second for Wigan boss Steve Bruce to obtain his first back to back win at the EPL.However, I saw the Latics stutter in front of a very weak West Brom and this is dangerous. The momentaneous euphoria needs to be contained because Arsenal is now motivated after beating Chelsea and bringing back some hope to fight for the title.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Van Persie turns on the style and the Gunners win 3-1

Premier League Match Preview: Chelsea v. Arsenal

Thursday, 27 November 08, 02:09 AM

Live coverage of the Chelsea vs. Arsenal match on Sunday, 30 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Blues host the Gunners at Stamford Bridge in the week number fifteen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

Chelsea missed the opportunity to open a two-point lead over Liverpool last weekend and now they will host the inconsistent Arsenal. Ballack is fit to play but Deco is out. Rumours of Drogba leaving Old Trafford in January could get in the way of a good performance. In the race for the EPL title every detail make a big difference.

Arsenal is the main prove of that. The team's inability to maintain a streak of good performances and results might have already cost the Gunners their chances to fight for the Premiership title. And if Arsene Wenger's lads don't start putting solid performances the position among the top four clubs in English football could be threatened by Aston Villa, Everton and even Hull City (?).

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Chelsea win at their fortress: 2-0

Premier League Match Preview: Manchester City v. Arsenal

Wednesday, 19 November 08, 01:42 AM

Live coverage of the Man City vs. Arsenal match on Saturday, 22 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Citizens host the Gunners at The City of Manchester Stadium in the week number fourteen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

Two teams that are not quite doing what the fans expect from them. Manchester City spent millions of pounds bringing Robinho but even though the Brazilian has been delivering good performances the rest of the team, specially the transition defence/midfield and the defensive side itself have been horrible.

Now Arsenal's problem is inconsistency. The Gunners have had too many ups and downs this season and this has been costly. Just imagine if they had impose their expected supremacy against Fulham Hull and Stoke City and haven't given away the two late goals against the Spurs. That sums up to 12 points which would put them at the very top of the table with 35 now. That's how you win or lose a title.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Arsenal has power to win on the road but Man City is desperate. Another match that can go either way and I'll go for a 2-2 draw.

Premier League Match Preview -> Arsenal v. Aston Villa

Tuesday, 11 November 08, 01:12 PM

Live coverage of the Arsenal vs. Aston Villa match on Saturday, 15 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Gunners host the Villans at the Emirates Stadium in the week number thirteen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

What a great football clash this one will be. Arsenal got a great win last weekend against Manchester United (just like this blogger predicted) and secured the 3rd place in the standings. Arsene Wenger boys showed improvement. Can they now keep the momentum going?

The Villans lost 6 very important points in the last two matches that cost their spot in the top 4. If Arsenal will try to maintain the momentum  for Aston Villa the task is to get back on track to keep the leader on sight.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION:A very difficult match to predict but I'll say Aston Villa win 0-1

Premier League Match Preview: Arsenal v. Manchester United

Tuesday, 04 November 08, 11:02 AM

Live coverage of the Arsenal FC vs. Manchester Utd match on Saturday, 8 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when Gunners host the Red Devils at the Emirates Stadium in the week number twelve of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

C'mon you Gooners! That's not what the fans expect of a team who wants to win titles. It would be very normal to lose against Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U, Aston Villa and the draw with Tottenham would have been normal if you were not up by 2 goals for a good part of the match and let them score two goals in less than two minutes. But losing to Hull City at home and now to Stoke City simply kills your chances of an EPL title. Arsenal have a good team but there's something very, very wrong with those lads this season.

Meanwhile it's Manchester United who little by little is finding their spot up the table. They are already in 3rd place and a win over Arsenal would get them even closer to the leaders Chelsea and Liverpool. Cristiano Ronaldo is already at his best form and that for itself means danger for the other teams.

This match can certainly go either way but I'll give Arsenal a chance to redeem themselves on this one.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Arsenal win 2-1

Tottenham Hotspur will win the EPL ... And I'm paying my bet

Saturday, 01 November 08, 02:49 PM

Tottenham Hotspur  (also known as Tottingham Hotspurs) did what no one thought it would be possible (maybe with the exception of Harry Hotspur) THEY BEAT Liverpool!!!

And it was in an extraordinary fashion. I'll write more about it on my next match preview posts. But for now I have to pay the bet I made with all my readers (do I have any?)

Here is my picture wearing the Spurs strip. And it will be kept on until they lose again.

Oh, and should I mention that Arsenal got stoked by Stoke City?

If I'm not wrong Arseblog said it would be the opposite. HAHAHAHA!!!

It was funny to hear all the Stoke Hooligans hugging and kissing each other in the mouth after the match.

Premier League Match Preview -> Stoke City v. Arsenal

Thursday, 30 October 08, 12:23 PM

Live coverage of the Stoke City vs. Arsenal FC match on Saturday, 1 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Potters host the Gunners at the Britannia Stadium in the week number eleven of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

Stoke City fans were waiting for me outside my house after their win over Sunderland and I could see by my bedroom window that their intention was not take to their celebration party at the pub. I locked myself in and grabbed another imported beer. And this time there won't be any surprises. They will not be able to beat the Gunners.

Arsenal played an eight-goal match against the Spurs and both teams ended with four each. But it was a result that left a very sour taste in the Gunners' mouths. The team had a 4-2 lead until the 89 minute of the match when after intense pressure from the visitors, Jermaine Jenas found Amunia's top corner and one minute later Aaron Lennon scored the equalizer after Modric had hit the post. Arsene Wenger is still looking for answer to how this all happened.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Arsenal win with no flukes this time 0-4
