Chelsea went from big favourites to win the league this season to a mere spectator of the Liverpool/Manchester United battle. The decision of letting Scolari go could've been precipitated and the signing of Guus Hiddink came too late. However Chelsea is now the only team with chances to clich the three major trophies this season: Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. But at the same time they have good chances to finish completely empty handed. 

Tonight's match can be called a rehearsal for the FA Cup final and I'm sure Everton want to take this rehearsal quite seriously. It's the Toffees great opportunity to pass Aston Villa and take the 5th place on the table; not that they will have time to put up a fight for Arsenal's spot in the Champions League.

Everton have not won at Stamford Bridge in the last 13 Premier League matches and Chelsea have not lost to Everton in 21 matches in all competitions. Could that change tonight?

Man U calmly waited for Chelsea and Liverpool to fall in their own mistakes and before one spell Cristiano Ronaldo's favourite hair gel brand the Red Devils jumped to the top of the table. This Saturday Everton will try to upset Man United at Old Trafford. It seems improbable but it could happen. The Toffees have been a solid and consistent team this season and even though they're 10 points away from reaching the top 4 they can already see Arsenal only 5 points ahead of them.

Every night Robinho might put his head on a pillow and think "why have I come here?" The Brazilian superstar is feeling game after game only proves to be a real small club. No matter how much money you invest if the winning mentality is not already present the team is not going to achieve that overnight. I think Man City can beat Everton but they will have to prove it on the field.

Everton is a tough team to beat. The defeat to Aston Villa was hard to swallow. The Toffees truly deserved a better luck but this is how football is. Time to regroup and get back to winning ways.

One of the most important matches for the Toffees this season. A win could represent a ticket among the top 5 but a defeat will sink the team's morale as Aston Villa is possibly their biggest rival in the pursuit of a spot among the top four.

And I'm still trying to understand wht has happened to Aston Villa. It seems that the lads lost the spark they were showing early thins season. This match id crucial for their intentions of infiltrating the top teams' zone

The Russian man is now on fire. Pavlyuchenko scored on the 7th minute to sealed the Spurs victory over a lethargic Blackburn. Then it seems that the lads decided not to socre more goals and the rest of the match was just ok. Well, in the end what counts first are the three points and the fact that Tottenham is now climbing up the table again.

But things could change when they host Everton who need a win a the three points to keep Hull City on sight in the dispute for the 6th position on the table. The Toffees lost to Wigan and David Moyes now do not even thing of a different result than a win at the White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Wigan can breathe in relief after earning a draw in the last minutes against Newcastle last weekend. The Latics scored in the first half and had to fight for the draw after Toon scored twice in the 79th and 86th minute. That could've been a frustrating result but I believe it actually shows that this group has a lot of personality and determination. 

Everton also come from a draw. But this one was at home. However the Toffees are climbing up the table and could shock tha Latics at the JJB Stadium.

West Ham almost got a win on the road last weekend. The goals scored by Mullins at the 21st minute gave the Hammers a lead that lasted until the 83rd when Mido, who had come off the bench, tied things up. Disappointing yes, but after four defeats in a row it's good to at least go home with a point. 

Everton just did their homework last weekend. But it took 86 minutes for the Toffees to break the Cottagers defence. 1-0 at home. Not the most impressive result but hey, 1-0 or 5-0 are worth the same three points right?

The so needed win for Everton came after nine matches and once again with a late goal by Marouane Fellaini. The £15m-man scored the winning goal at the 89th minute against Bolton and now the Toffees expect to repeat it against the Cottagers but this time in a little more comfortable way.

Fulham got a win against Wigan as I predicted and now the task despite being harder is also very important. A win could launch the Cottagers 5 spots up the table depending on the other teams' results.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Toffees win at home 2-0

Bolton was able to do what eight other clubs couldn't do this season: LOSE TO THE SPURS. That by itself already qualifies the Trotters as strong candidates for the Championship next season. And the scenario is not good this week. If Newcastle beat WBA and Stoke City get at least a draw against Sunderland, Bolton will drop to the relegation zone.

And the Toffees are not in a much better situation either. They managed to draw against  Manchester United but Everton is still flirting with the bottom of the table. That's too little from a team that finished in 6th place last season.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Everton will improve their form and will beat the Trotters 0-2
