The match of the season! A draw could mean suicide for both teams and a win will represent a chance to fight for the title against Man Utd. But in my opinion whoever loses this match can start waving the Premiership title goodbye. The only problem is that Chelsea now is playing the same boring football of last yea (and the years before) and Liverpool's offense is not working as expected and the Reds already have drawn 9 matches this season.

A black cloud is stuck over Newcastle. The Magpies not only lost the match to Man City on Wednesday night but also saw Joey Barton and Michael Owen leave the pitch injured. Their opponents for the weekend match are Sunderland and the Black Cats are only three points ahead of them. For both teams this is a very important match.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Tough one to predict but I'd say Sunderland win 2-0

Pompey is holding themselves in the upper middle of the table but when everybody thinks they are going up they manage to lose one or two matches probably to remind the fans that they shouldn't expect much from the team. 

Newcastle is kind of the same. The main difference is that after a disastrous beginning the Magpies are stuck to the bottom half of the table. This will be an interesting clash... or maybe not.

Not even the most optimistic Potters' fan would dare to say, before the season started , that the club would be in a better position than Newcastle United in the 15th week. But they are and they have chances to win this clash. 

Newcastle is struggling to get important wins to climb out of the relegation zone. The solution for the Toon Army still seems far away.

I don't know hoe Middlesbrough manage to lose 1-3 at home to Bolton. The team had been playing well and getting close to the top four and then, all of a sudden, this disaster.  Wake up Boro if you dream of a continental competition next year.

The Magpies continue their struggle to get out of the relegation zone. If the situation was different we would all agree that the goalless draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was an outstanding result but at this point anything less than a win isn't just good enough for Newcastle.

The Blues continue their path to reach their objective - the title - and intend to make Newcastle their next victim. Frenchman Nicolas Anelka is flying and if he can maintain the good form we can expect another great win by Chelsea.

Some injuries will certainly be a problem for the Toon squad when they face the best team in the EPL this season. Thug Joey Barton picked a MCL Knee Injury and is out at least until January. Good for football, bad for the Magpies. And after the two good results that made some think that Newcastle was rehearsing a fantastic reaction the team draw and lost in the last two weeks which sent them close to the relegation zone one more time.

After two wins in a row Newcastle found the Cottagers in their way and lost last weekend. The team is now back to the relegation zone but a good result against Wigan can change that. I believe Michael Owen should start this weekend.

Wigan is part of the group of teams with 12 points. Very dangerous situation because a bad result against Newcastle and they could drop directly to the relegation zone.

Time for a wake-up call at the Craven Cottage. I just keep repeating myself week after week. Fulham can't place their bets on Lady Luck like they did last season. They are once again dangerously flirting with the relegation zone and this weekend's match against the Magpies will be crucial for the Cottagers aspirations. 

On the other side of the coin, Newcastle is digging their way out of the bottom very well. Last weekend 's win over Aston Villa brought more confidence to a team that needed a breath of fresh air so desperately. Now the Toon have the chance to finally leave the relagation zone even farther behind witih a win over Fulham.

A more than necessary win. A breath of fresh air for the Magpies. Peace of mind... but they cannot relax yet. The team beat WBA but playing against Aston Villa will be a much different story. Good news for the Toon is the very probable return of Michael Owen.

Aston Villa continue playing with a lot of determination and desire and it's paying off. With the win over Blackburn the Villans grabbed a spot among the top four and to maintain their position they will need to beat Newcastle. I believe they can do it with no major problems.
