Wigan have been hanging well in the midst of the table this at Newcastle, Sunderland and Blackburn's expense. The Latics have good chances to beat the Rovers. Well, this season anybody is having a good chance to beat the Rovers.

I have only one thing to say about Blackburn: Paul Ince has to go.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Latics win 3-1

Premier League Match Preview: Blackburn v. Liverpool

I like Paul Ince. I honestly do. But the time for the excuses is over. He keeps saying "we were a better side today" or "we dominated the actions in the first half". That's just not good enough. Dominate matches and sit at the bottom part are simply two things that don't go well together.

And I don't believe Liverpool will be giving the Rovers as much space as Portsmouth did. The Reds lost the opportunity to open a three-point advantage to Chelsea but I don't think they will take the risk to see the Blues come back to the top.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: 'Pool win and put Ince's job at risk; 0-2

Premier League Match Preview: Portsmouth v. Blackburn

Wednesday, 26 November 08, 03:16 PM

Live coverage of the Portsmouth vs. Blackburn match on Sunday, 30 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when Pompey host the Rovers at Fratton Park in the week number fifteen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. Pompey is boring. That's just enough to describe my lack of point of views on Portsmouth. They got two draws in the last two matches and even though the last weekend clash against Hull City ended with four goals (two for each side) I don't think I will be watching Pompey matches very often.

Paul Ince started the season with confidence, maybe too much confidence and now, problem after problem, bad result after bad result, the team sits in the relegation zone. Someone will have to join West Brom in the Championship and that could be the Rovers if they don't improve their form NOW.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: I'll give Ince's lads a chance. Rovers win 1-3

So it turns out the Super Harry Rednapkin doesn't have super powers. Tottenham lost and is now back to the relegation zone. the good thing is I finally could remove the Spurs shirt I've been wearing for the last two weeks. HAHAHA. But I believe the Spurs has finally realised that they can get out of this horrible situation and this clash against Paul Ince's Rovers will be a very interesting challenge for both teams.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Spurs come on top 2-1

Premier League Match Preview -> Blackburn v. Sunderland

Tuesday, 11 November 08, 02:50 PM

Live coverage of the Blackburn Rovers vs. Sunderland match on Saturday, 15 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Rovers host the Black Cats at Ewood Park in the week number thirteen of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

In the last 6 matches Paul Ince's side had 3 draws and 3 losses. It's very frustrating for the Rovers' fans to see the club in such bad form. Blackburn do not only need a win to elevate the spirit of the players and the fans but also to avoid falling to the relegation zone.

The same recipe should be followed by the Black Cats. They feel to the bottom of the table after losing at home to Pompey last weekend. The are only 1 point ahead of WBA.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Rovers win 2-1

Premier League Match Preview: Blackburn v. Chelsea

Tuesday, 04 November 08, 11:36 AM

Live coverage of the Blackburn Rovers vs. Chelsea match on Sunday, 9 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Rovers host the Blues at Ewood Park in the week number twelve of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. The Rovers can't win on the road and they can't win at home either. In they last five matches Paul Ince's side only got three points all from draws. What is the solution for Blackburn? Anybody out there with ideas?  Send them to Ewood Park att: Paul Ince before it's too late.

Chelsea fans couldn't be happier. Their team not only crashed Sunderland last weekend but also saw Liverpool lose three precious points to Tottenham which put the Blues back at the top of the table. Now they are head to head again and the race is open for the title.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Chelsea beat the Rovers 0-2

Premier League Match Preview -> West Brom v. Blackburn

Thursday, 30 October 08, 12:31 PM

Live coverage of the West Brom Albion vs. Blackburn Rovers match on Saturday, 1 November, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Baggies host the Rovers at the Hawthorns in the week number eleven of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

The Baggies lost their last two matches and they are now very close to the relegation zone. No surprises there, right? What else would you expect me to say. They lost to an unstable Newcastle and helped the Toon get out of the dreadful pit.

Paul Ince's side took the lead against Aston Villa but didn't have the strength to secure the three points at the Villa Park and ended up losing 3-2. Sitting no at the 13th position with 12 points the Rovers will be saved from the relegation zone even if they lose this weekend but I'm sure that's not part of Ince's plans.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Rovers win on the road (?) maybe (?) 0-1

Premier League Match Preview -> Aston Villa v. Blackburn

Monday, 27 October 08, 11:11 AM

Live coverage of the Aston Villa vs. Blackburn match on Wednesday 29 October, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when Villans host the Rovers at the Villa Park in the week number ten of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

If there's a team this season that I've been finding entertaining to watch it has to be Aston Villa. The Villans are showing a very organized, attacking motivated football and that is possibly the main reason the team appears in a comfortable 5th position only 2 points behind Arsenal.  But Villa cannot snooze. The wins need to continue!

Benni McCarthy came out of the bench to score a last minute equalizer to save the Rovers from a home defeat against Middlesbrough last weekend. At least it wasn't a bring performance, that's for sure. But if Paul Ince thinks that they will have the same luck against Aston Villa he'd better think twice.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Aston Villa win 2-0

Premier League Match Preview -> Blackburn v. Middlesbrough

Tuesday, 21 October 08, 02:22 AM

Live coverage of the Blackburn Rovers vs. Middlesbrough match on Saturday 25 October, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Rovers host Boro at Ewood Park in the week number nine of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

Blackboring! That's what I last weekend. Paul Ince's lads didn't show anything against Bolton. It was a waste of my precious time to watch that match. At least I had enough beer. That was good.

And Boro boys are probably still sure from the heavy spanking they got from Chelsea. A hand full of goals and zero reaction attitude from Middlesbrough. Things need to chance fast. It's never too early for a honourable comeback!

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Boro wins 2-1

Premier League Match Preview -> Bolton v. Blackburn

Tuesday, 14 October 08, 02:28 AM

Live coverage of the Bolton Wanderers vs. Blackburn Rovers match on Saturday 18 October, 2008. Live commentary and blogging, live score, match result, match review. Catch all the action when the Trotters host the Rovers at the Reebok Stadium in the week number eight of the 2008-2009 English Premier League. Chat and discuss the match live with other fans on OleOle. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MATCH CENTRE.

Trotters' manager Gary Megson recently stated that there is no crisis at the club and he's right. Bolton lost 4 of their 7 matches so far and with only 7 points the team sits at the 15th position which is one spot better than their final position last season.  No reason to panic right? Wrong!!!

Santa Cruz is out until the end of the month at least but facing Bolton might be a tough challenge for Paul Ince's side. The Rovers have not found the necessary consistency to keep the team among the top 6 and beating a desperate Bolton side without their main goal scorer won't be an easy task.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: A bloody boring 0-0.
