The Cottagers will host the boring Pompey at the Craven Cottage with a good chance to clinch three important points. Pompey on the other hand could fall to the relegation zone with a defeat. Well, not a very interesting match but I'll just say that I'm tired of commenting on Portsmouth's lack of good football. If they go to the Championship no one will even notice their disappearance from the Premiership.

Pompey couldn't hold the draw against Bolton last week and let a great chance to improve their position on the table. Well, that's just the way Porstmouth is, isn't? They might even bring West Ham back from the dead.

Hammers, Hammers... they only get hammered ... week after week... The usual smile on Zola's face have been long gone and so might himself if the team continues to play awfully.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: Let's say that Pompey will win 2-1

Pompey is holding themselves in the upper middle of the table but when everybody thinks they are going up they manage to lose one or two matches probably to remind the fans that they shouldn't expect much from the team. 

Newcastle is kind of the same. The main difference is that after a disastrous beginning the Magpies are stuck to the bottom half of the table. This will be an interesting clash... or maybe not.

I simply don't have anything else to talk about WBA. They are not ready for the EPL. Period.

So it's Pompey's chance to win two matches in row. After running over beaten Blackburn now it's time to face the worst team of the Premiership.

Pompey is boring. That's just enough to describe my lack of point of views on Portsmouth. They got two draws in the last two matches and even though the last weekend clash against Hull City ended with four goals (two for each side) I don't think I will be watching Pompey matches very often. 

Paul Ince started the season with confidence, maybe too much confidence and now, problem after problem, bad result after bad result, the team sits in the relegation zone. Someone will have to join West Brom in the Championship and that could be the Rovers if they don't improve their form NOW.

GOBSMACK PREDICTION: I'll give Ince's lads a chance. Rovers win 1-3

I am tired of mentioning that Pompey is exactly where they should be: not in danger of being relegated and not harming the top clubs. Portsmouth continue as one of the least appealing teams this season. That being said I believe they can beat the Tigers at home but I just hope they don't.

Hull City's dream of the top four finally came to an end. As I said many times before I'm 88.2% sure that they won't be relegated but now the team is getting the true feeling of an EPL season. On the good side we can see that those lads are taking their task very seriously and bravely fight for every ball until the very last minute. That smells like success.

The Hammers won only 1 point in the last six matches. Gianfranco Zola can't understand what's going on and neither can the fans. Every week instead of improving the team gets worse. What else is there to say?

Pompey won last weekend's match as I said they would. I believe they can also beat west Ham just because everyone else is doing it. But it's in moments like this that caution is necessary. Desperate teams can bring evil surprises with them.

The Black Cats were scalped by Chelsea last weekend. 5-0. The best thing they can do is forget that match. There's no lesson to take from it right now. If there's something there to be learned it needs to be saved and used when they face another one of the big guns. For this match against Pompey, Sunderland need to focus on what they were doing before the lost to Stoke City, whatever that is. 

Portsmouth is a very disappointing team. They are still hanging there among the top ten but when you think they will move up a few spots they display zero determination and desire and they lose at home and at the very last minute to Wigan. Pitiful! But i'm sure they will now play well and win on the road just because that's just the way it is.

Oh Pompey, art thou a brave knight? You are! But you still got defeated. Portsmouth managed to hold 'Pool for 75 minutes with David James making great saves and a good defence (did I just really say that?) But why the hell did Defoe only come in with 5 minutes to the end of the match? Now Pompey will in search of a win against Wigan to get closer to Hull City.

The Latics lost to Fulham, just as I predicted. Wigan is the least interesting team this season and the more they get closer to the relegation zone the more I prove to be right. Oh wait a minute, they already are in the relegation zone. I am right indeed!

Liverpool is the best team of the EPL. All the other fans can start sending their hate mail but I'm just stating the truth. That's what the table says, not only me. They're unbeaten, they're efficient and they have been proving to be the only ones, so far, that can really fight head to head with Chelsea for the title. But everything can change in football and it only takes one pebble on the road...

Pompey rests safely in the middle of the table. They're not moving up, they're not going down. They're just being the regular Portsmouth we all know. If the defense doesn't make stupid mistakes and Defoe and Crouch are on a inspired night,   Pompey might get a draw or even a lucky winning goal however I would never put my money on it. It's more likely that 'Pool will just crash Portsmouth at the Anfield.
