Well, well, well, it might be too late, but after the US Women's national team lost 4-0 against Brazil after the Worl Cup semi finals yesterday, it looks like coach Greg Ryan feels the heat. His coaching is very critized and now ex-players want Ryan gone.
In public statement today, former stars Brandi Chastain, Julie Foudy and Mia Hamm said the coach failed on tactical and motivational levels. "People say this is a step back, but I think Greg Ryan has put us three steps back – all the way to the starting gate," said Chastain. "He lacks the ability to communicate and is not in tune with his players, and he's obviously not a tactician or he wouldn't have made the decisions he did".
What's your opinion about this ?
Yep, he is a idiot for sure, when a coach has no idea what he is doing, the team is in trouble. It was sad to watch!
Yeah he was about as stupid as the Argentinean coach arranging for helicopters to come down on the field at the end of the Copa America final to escort his winning team away.....oh wait they lost!!
LMAO!!!
This is the worst move I've seen a coach make, since stupid Pekerman replaced his best player on the Argentine squad, Roman, in like the 60th minute of the WC. It's just shocking!!! I don't
understand why coaches do things like that and like this, now with Hope Solo. I guess they get too cocky and then they end up getting smacked in the face by losing the game and everyone making fun of
them. I think Ryan might turn into a Pekerman. He'll probably coach a few more times for the USWNT and then end up in Mexico coaching a small team, over there. I feel bad for those 2 guys.......

An incredible run of 51 unbeaten games with a superb bunch young women. What the hell was the coach thinking? It is like benching Kobe in the fourth quarter of game 6 in finals or benching Jeter or
Posada in the 6th game of the World Series. Oh, but it is even worse than that because depending on the series score, there could be a game 7. There is not other game to be played (third place match
is a joke) for the US. Yes, the Red Card did not help the cause at all on the field, but the distraction by removing Ms. Solo was just stupid. What ever stroke of genius that inspired Coach Ryan,
should be the same thing that gets him fired. Four years from now, if he is still with the team, can you imagine him doing it again? Sure you can, just so he can prove the decision was right on
09/27/2007. Brazil was fabulous, but they are certainly not better than the US team. It is a shame.
I'd have to agree with LaRaza. You simply cannot replace someone as critical as a goalkeeper without a good reason, and the only reasons are 1) injury or 2) performance. Neither of those was the
reason, but instead because of matchups? You would think someone who hadn't allowed a goal in her last 300 minutes would be a good matchup for anyone. That guy is an idiot...
