Well, well, well, it might be too late, but after the US Women's national team lost 4-0 against Brazil after the Worl Cup semi finals yesterday, it looks like coach Greg Ryan feels the heat. His coaching is very critized and now ex-players want Ryan gone.
In public statement today, former stars Brandi Chastain, Julie Foudy and Mia Hamm said the coach failed on tactical and motivational levels. "People say this is a step back, but I think Greg Ryan has put us three steps back – all the way to the starting gate," said Chastain. "He lacks the ability to communicate and is not in tune with his players, and he's obviously not a tactician or he wouldn't have made the decisions he did".
What's your opinion about this ?

Wambach, Boxx and Lilly. Three girls, three names, three goals. And the United States National Women's team moves to the World Cup Semi-Finals. 3-0 against England, the Americans couldn't dream better. Not only was there no contest of their superiority on the field, but it's excellent news on the psychological front, in a competition where moral and determination is as important as physical conditions. Now, among the last four teams remaining, everything is possible.
The USA will play Brazil on Sept. 27 at Dragon Stadium in Hangzhou (live on ESPN 2 at 8.00 am US Eastern Time). The Brazilian won against a strong Australian team 3-2 in the quarter finals. On September 26th, the other semi-final will be a European confrontation between Germany and Norway. Who wants to bet ?

It's more than a rumor, but less than an official information. According to Marca and 20 Minutos in Spain, and So Foot in France, Los Angeles Galaxy President Alexi Lalas started discussions with Zinedine Zidane (or his "entourage") to hire him next to David Beckham. OleOle is investigating and will bring you more details as soon as possible.
The Galaxy would plan to reproduce the dreamy and galactic midfield of Real Madrid these last year and rumors say L.A. might also want to sign Brazilian star Ronaldo. The club would be ready to spend up to 35 millions dollars for the French. Developping professional soccer in the U.S. does have a price. Apparently...
UPDATE : a few minutes ago, the communication department of the Galaxy said to OleOle.com : "we don't confirm" the existence of discussions with Zidane.

That's a pretty big news for the Los Angeles Galaxy and the world of U.S. Soccer. David Beckham officially arrived to Los Angeles and was presented this morning on the field of the Home Depot Center, in Carson (southern California). Among the few hundred journalists from all around the world, OleOle was present.
The atmosphere was quite surprising for a friday morning. At 8.30 AM, the crowd was already present to make sure to have a decent seat in the stadium. Fans from all over California. A lot of them were already wearing the new Galaxy Jersey, designed for Beckham's arrival.
Inside, the whole corner of the stadium was reserved for the event, in this 27,000 seats total arena. On the corner of the field : the stage with 6 empty seats. Waiting at least a full hour under a sharp sun, the fans sing Galaxy songs. In front of the stage, at least two hundred journalists, photographers and TV crews. Waiting for The moment.
At 10 o'clock, it's another Beckham who enters the field. Victoria, in a pink short dress, took the pause for a long moment. Then came the new King of L.A. Walking through the corridors next to Alexis Lalas, the Galaxy director, he provoked a huge "Yeah" in the crowd when he finally appeared.
The ex-Mancunian, wearing a light grey suit and clear yellow tie, walked slowly on the stage under the sound of "Hello America". As he waves to the crowd, the fans now get totally crazy. Lalas speaks first, followed by a couple of others, including the Galaxy Coach, who "can't wait to put David on the team". Lalas says it's a historical moment, not only for the Galaxy, but also in history of soccer in the USA, hoping to develop it.
He gives Beck his jersey : number 23. When he finally comes to the microphone, the English man in L.A. says he comes for "the challenge", after having played "in two of the best teams in the world, Manchester United and Real Madrid, and 11 years for my country". David said he hopes to help "football...euh....soccer" to develop. After this slip of the tongue, he joked : "I have to get used to this too"
After the 30 minutes events, the audience could leave and buy shirts and jersey. The Sullivan Family, from Orange County, are fans. They come to see the Galaxy at every game. "This is a big day,
they said. We already love Beckham. And it's history for the US". Now, it's in Beckham's feet.
On US Men's team : the eternal beginner
