There are so many Harry Redknapp PMA headlines that could be written, so it is a testament to the new boss' impact that he has had plenty written already. Seven points from three games reveals the impression he has made, although the fact that we are still bottom means survival at the end of the season would earn Harry a fully deserved ‘Houdini' moniker.
The preservation of our Premier League status would also vindicate the timing of Daniel Levy's managerial change. With Juande Ramos in charge we might be nine points adrift after 11 games, a terminal situation to be in, and as much as we tell ourselves that a sequence of wins sends you flying up the table, a team in such dire straits is unlikely to construct such a run.
It is now realistic to look beyond survival. With so many of the bottom six wining at the weekend, the mid and lower table is bunched: Everton were on the verge of crisis but are now seventh; Sunderland looked in good order but are one point above the relegation zone; and West Ham are in freefall but are still 11th.
There is nothing wrong with aiming for a top seven finish. Spurs are capable of that, even with an imbalanced squad and our handicapped start. Harry will have to work his customary magic in the January transfer window, but his recruitment skills are one of the main reasons Levy went for him
I previously wrote how it was down to the players to lift themselves. Do the basics, play as a team, keep going in adversity. They are now doing these things but were incapable of doing so under Ramos.
We were as poor in the first half against Liverpool as we had been at any point during the first eight games. Nervous defensively, bereft of attacking ideas and lacking conviction, we were frankly a class below Liverpool for an hour or so.
However, a lucky equaliser - how easy it is to say that Jamie Carragher would have cleared the ball if Ramos was in charge - energised the players. That is the difference between then and now; not a change in luck (well, yes, but not the main factor) but a change in belief.
The players are saying much the same now as they were before Redknapp arrived, citing the squad's quality and a determination to put things right, but they are now equipped to be good to their word. They believed they could score the winner against the Reds and it showed.
Redknapp and his positive mental attitude is right: confidence is catching. Little actions like including the non-matchday squad in celebrations and speaking to players one-on-one have revitalised the club and the fans. Onwards and upwards.

Anyway, we're currently 6 points off 7th so it's not all bad is it?
I hope we don't loose any of the fitness levels installed by Wendy, as both last 10 mins of Ar*!nal and Liverpool matches i think counted for much.

Dear Friend,
Part of the greatness of football means accepting the rules of a sporting event that is quite simply a game.
After almost 20 years in this profession, I know all the unwritten rules of football, which is why I accept the decision made by the bosses at Tottenham Hotspur. Now it is simply time to say goodbye and thank you.
Coincidently, it is exactly one year ago today that I first entered the world of English football, and it is today that I say goodbye and thank you to you all.
We joined the team, filled with enthusiasm, when they were in the relegation zone, in a similar situation to the one they are in at the moment. We had a good start and got to the middle of the League table. As well as this, we also qualified for Europe, which had seemed like an almost impossible task. It took great a effort on behalf of the whole team but we achieved out goal despite the difficulties.
We also managed to win a Cup after nine years without success, which brought immense joy to the team and the fans. For this reason we can say that the season was a tremendously successful one.
During the summer we had quite a difficult pre-season due to the changes in the team, which meant that we couldn’t work as calmly as a pre-season requires. Some of the new players were very young, and despite their quality they needed time to adapt and mature, which unfortunately the intensity of the competition hasn’t allowed them to do yet.
When Robbie Keane and Berbatov left the club, it had a huge effect on the team as they were key players with regard to tactics, goal scoring abilities and also as team mates they had an important influence. All this has led to a situation which I hope will change as soon as possible because the Club and the fans deserve success.
First of all, I want to tell the Spurs fans how grateful I am for the way they have treated me. Thank you for your support, respect and

To bad at all, B.F. Smack Head.
I make you right about the belief bit. The difference for me was when we equalised 'arry went 4-2-4 in an effort to win rather than cling on to a draw. He seems to realise to that lennon is miles more effective when he is fresh and the opposition is cream crackered.
Simply put there was a bit of common sense, mixed with a bit of daring do. He's worked out in 3 games what Spurs are about.
and kindness, and even for your constructive criticism. You have made me feel very happy for many months and I am only sorry not to have been able to offer you more magical evenings like the one at Wembley last February. You have always been with the team and I thank you for unconditional support.
I would also like to send a special message to all the people who work at the Club. The family that is Tottenham Hotspur; you are the people who make it all possible. You have treated me excellently, both on a professional and personal level, I send you my eternal gratitude and affection.
Lastly, I want to thank Tottenham and the Directors for giving me this opportunity to fulfil my dream. I had always wanted to coach a Club in England - the home of football – to feel the emotion and live the experience of the Premier League.
Thank you all, goodbye, and TO DARE IS TO DO…COME ON YOU SPURS!

Point taken, but with Man City, Fulham and Blackburn in November we could be back in our favourite spot of mid table come the beginning of December, and then who knows what 2009 may bring...

my letter to him would take a different tone. Useless. What an utter waste of time and money he was.
LOL Brucecastle I agree, but he did get the lads up for the cup final against Chelsea. A bit of a man in the raincoat moment.
I think it was the desire to kick the poo out of A5enal and a the momentum to take out Chelsea at Wemblerly that spured the players on. Ramos' record in the league was utterly monkey.
If you wish others to believe in you, you must first believe in them. This is all 'arry 'as done. Good on him. I do wish the johnny foreigners would shut up a bit and just play football, Gomes- 'Belief is the Key', Zokora- 'We can still finish in the Champ League', Roman Pavlova- 'We're a pub team' (ok, he had a point). I did love 'arry instructions to run about a bit. That made me laugh and was worthy of any self respecting pub side.

Ricky, don't mean to be nasty but I'm sure most of us have seen this by now after have it transcribed in most of the national papers, blogs etc. What I would have liked to see is some of your own take on his speech, or even how it relates to the content of this particular article ('Arry's PMA wriiten by Mr. Oliver)
In a nutshell, some of your own personal opinions would be desirable be it constructive, comical or downright cocky.
Look at me FFS, I'm getting all PMS...let alone PMA.

Thought he might have been at spurs a bit longer, was a nice shock when i picked the paper up on a sunday morn seems like a long time ago. I do feel that after our Carling Cup success he should have got the team more motivated to win some games, even tho everyone was happy with mid table finish and europe in the bag. Keane and side show bob were a dissapointment the later was known to be leaving. So onwards and upwards what a couple of weeks its been, thanks Juande but it was lost in translation, but you will not be forgotten for bringing us a cup in our 125th historic year, Thank You Juande Ramos, the perfect one!

watch out, watch out...theres a humphrey about!
Yes we were lucky to escape a bit of a mauling against the bin-dippers on Saturday, and yes they ran us a bit ragged for the first 60 or 70 minutes, these facts are inescapable.
The change in belief is so apparent that even with the shaky defense there was still evidence of passion amongst the squad that had previously been buried under an ever growing pile of defeat.
We could have seen Gerrard and Kuyt bang another 2 or 3 in between them but we didn't, maybe that was luck or maybe the new confidence amongst the boys shook them off target. Thats what i prefer to think.
COYS!!!!!!

Not only that but Roman is starting to earn his wages at last.
I don't know about all this lost in translation business.
More of a lack of brain cells I reckon, and I'm not talking about Ramos'.
Clearly didn't have the right players for the job he wanted to do and didn't know any other way. Whether that was his fault, I guess we'll never really know.
As far as 'Arry goes, if he keeps us up and plays a decent bit of football I'll be happy.
Don't see him as the long term answer though.
How's that for 'PMA'?
It's nice to see them reminded that the game isn't over 'til the shrill whistle at the end. Often, a side will crumble after an early strike like that (fair play to Kuyt, it was a quality strike), but the boys held on, and we got a couple nasty goals for our trouble.
I'm of the opinion that its squeaky bum time certainly for the Citeh, Fulham, Blackbum games, games we really need to win against sides that wont be at all cocky and top 4 about it. I thought we were great against Arsenal, terrible against Liverpool and I didn't see Bolton. We need to go on a run now and show our class. I'm optimistic we'll do well but on the other hand-we are Tottenham and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is very possible. Its great entertainment though, I mean its only November, I feel like I've already been through several cup finals, me nerves are shredded! AAAAAA. It cant possibly be this exciting/stressful in the Champions League, I mean surely? Us and the 13 clubs above us are already in a fight for survival. Ridiculous. Bloody Villa though. Christ. Every match I feel like the mysterious man in the black raincoat who made love to Lennon on the rain sodden Emirates turf. WE ARE ALL THAT MAN. Who is he?

Clearly he had the right players, he just didn't know how to motivate them. HJR can communicate and therefore motivate. Wendy couldn't order his own breakfast. Hijo de Puta. End of.
By the way nice to see chavski taken down a peg. And to see keane come away without a goal or a win.

Harry, can you remove the Pool highlights? every time i log into oleole on your page the screen screams the stream at me...
That could get annoying in a day or so....
We really need to push on now, pick up point against those around us in the table and start the climb. Its like one steep cliff rather than a lowly hill. One win, and we will rocket up, 2 wins we'll be in the top half and 3 wins on the bounce will see us pushing the European places. Fingers, toes and legs crossed ladies and we could be sitting pretty only half a dozne points behind the gooners in 2 weeks time.
Question...... Toda. where he fuck did he go? Biggest waste of space ever. possibly our worst signing ever. Worse than Saib, Tramezanni and KPB rolled into one.
And, why is Obama all of a sudden a half cast, a mixed race. Do they not want a black president that much? Get out of the stone age your backwards yanky nuts.
Now, the missus is calling, bed time boys

Here, here. Lets be honest, anyone who wins something for us as manager will go down in history. He is after all only the 6th post war manager (out of about 20) to have won us something and as somebody previously mentioned it was our 125th year and stopped that becoming a complete damp squib.
Thank you Mr Ramos.

I know what your saying but in the last 20 years only two other managers have won anything for us (both right dodgy b*stards the pair of em!

What if Harry is great, stays for 5 years and has us challenging for cups, top 4 etc without actually winning anything. At thta point will you not look fondly on JR (a little)

I tried to offer my support, to have faith in Wendy, but after a while with no results -- poor results -- I lost my confidence. In retrospect, he was a bad choice, couldn't communicate and made us a laughing stock. I will no get nostaligic about that. I will remember woody and, yes, berbatov, for the league cup, no deserving credit to Ramos is due.

All the points in favour to Ramos are valid and show what an awfully nice bunch we are on the whole.
History is less forgiving and whatever 'Arry achieves with the exact same players won't ultimately do him any favours.
But we soldier on and he will get back on his bicycle too. What he achieves after this will be looked at in some detail.
(See Mr M. Jol for details)

The Power of Positive Thinking is important and Harry has obviously lifted the players and supporters spirits. Being able to string a simple sentence together in English has also helped.
