This from Benny Blanco, a reliable and credible poster on Spurs Odious...
"I was staying in the same hotel as the Spurs team in Krakow and spoke to Comolli. He said that Huntelaar was never coming as he wanted to stay at Ajax and that Arshavin was not on for January as the Russians did not want to sell. He described the transfer window as 'hell'."
This is at best, spin.
What I do know is that the initial price for Arshavin was €25 million. That was from the mouth of the Director of ZSP, so the idea that the Russians didn't want to vend is cobblers.
There were then numerous tales in the press since that price - describing the frustrations in the deal from both ZSP and Arshavin's agent.
But no remote hint that the player was off limits. Shame on you Damien.
Or is this your way of saying that the Russians didn't want to suffer the silly low offer and the painful negotiations from there on in you threw at them? If so, say so. You took a dogs age to bank the money from the sale of our best players and left us with a team that appears not to work very well.
You're the Director of Football. Increasingly there is a queue forming of good folk who like to read your forthcoming book, 'Would You Like To Know What The F*ck I Did Last Summer?'.
This may well be true but even if it isn't Commolli has demonstrated well beyond reasonable doubt that he's crap at his job. Or have we replaced our dear departed trio of top class strikers and signed the DM and left midfielder that Ramos and Jol before him, both asked for ?
sack comolli sack ramos bring back jol and forget this russian partnership I dont want 2 Rebrovs. No Defoe, No Berba and No Keane, what is going on
you know what Harry, right now I am so disgusted by Levy AND Commoli, that I am almost lost for words.
Levy has put profit before progress, and now seems to be set for his big payday, at the expense of any progress at the club since he took over the helm.
Commolli has earned paycheck after paycheck and delivered a group of average players, many of whom we have sold for a loss, and then this window he has brought in players that cant even play together.
In all of this mess, Juande Ramos is catching flak that he doesnt deserve from fans, and the press, and with no statement forthcoming from the usually very vocal Little Levy, I would not be suprised if he decided to walk.
How the hell can Commolli still be at the club, when he delivered nothiing this window and no one at the club has had the balls to apologise to the fans, who have now turned on Ramos.
Levy, you are ruining this once proud club, we are now a laughing stock in the PL.
In my humbe opinion, if Levy sells the club, and takes Comolli with him, then I would leave Ramos to manage the next trasnfer window, bringing in the palyers that he wants, and se what happens..
I fo one am sure we will not go down, and feankly do not even want to contemplate a future without Ramos or Poyet, as frankly there isnt one.
PATIENCE IS THE WORD ALL REAL SPURS FANS NEED TO USE.
FICKLE MINDED FANS CAN CONTINUE TO ASK FOR SOMEONES HEAD, JUST MAKE SURE IT IS LEVY OR COMMOLLIS AND NOT RAMOS'.
letting go of ramos would be a mistake! get comedy out and let ramos and poyet get on with signing some quality players in january! as phil brown said today it's only the players who are gunna get us out of this mess! so it's time they stepped up! and as for the booing of woodgate today thats pathetic! he's been the only one to show some balls this season!
BY THE WAY WHERE IS OUR CAPTAIN, WHERE IS THE VOICE ON THE PITCH??
I DONT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH KING, BUT POUR SOME GOLD OVER HIM AND MAKE HIM A STATUE AS HE IS NOT A FOOTBALL PLAYER ANYMORE. PLAYING 50% OF GAMES DOES NOT A SOLID DEFENSIVE PARTNERSHIP MAKE.....GET CORLUKA AND WOODY TO FORM THE BACKBONE OF THE DEFENCE AND LETS GET IT ON...
TO ALL THE FANS THAT BOOED THE PLAYERS TODAY - THANKS FOR SHOWING HOW TO SUPPORT YOUR TEAM AND INSTILL CONFIDENCE..
The PSB money should have been handed straight to Zenit.
If Levy didn't want to pay for his replacement, then why did he let him go?
What with the the lack of other crucial positions filled and our current situation, Comolli's job is of course now completely untenable. Levy's decisions are also more than questionable and a massive question mark also hovers above Ramos.
As for today, defence and midfield were better, final third was not good, but fortune, as is often the case when things are bad, was not with us.
The effort was there, I'm no way a 'Jenas lover', but I thought he was our best player in the first half. Modric never shied away from wanting the ball andthe more he plays I think the better he'll become.
No, not a lack of effort today, more of a lack of ability in positions where second best won't be enough (mainly a DM leader and at least one top striker).
Whether we can turn it around with the current regime before things become too desperate (relegation isn't an option nowadays) remains to be seen.
look..Comolli's a pr*ck.. no point even talking about him.. just get rid of him..

nothing..

install as captain, King is finished..
CORLUKA: (7)
is quite clearly a better CB than RB.. which was a pleasant surprise..
BALE: (5.5)
the epidemic of "can't cross the ball" is spreading.. Bale needs to be dropped for the Stoke game.. the boy is quality but he has now played 15 Premier League games since joining Tottenham and in those 15 games we have won none of them.. his fault?? quite clearly not.. but is he cursed??
LENNON: (6)
"One Aaron Lennon" cried the Spurs fans upon his substitution.. it's time some people realised that there's a difference between looking dangerous and actually being dangerous.. he was by no means terrible though..

improvement on Thursday in that he worked hard but still patently not good enough..
ZOKORA: (1)
getting ridiculous now..
MODRIC: (6)
finally got on the ball more than usual but then tried stupid flicks that never come off.. still waiting for him to click.. it'll be special when he does..
CAMERON DIAZ: (0)

I'm fed up with all these fucking do-gooders who come on here and say don't boo.... do you pay 900 of your hard earned pounds plus another £50 per game on travel?
I certainly don't cough that money up to watch Jenas and co strolling around the pitch....
Carrier bag face tomorrow!
Why do we need a sporting director?
We created this post for Arnesen to find us some quality youth players. He had a proven track record. Comolli was never qualified for the position.
Could you see Redknapp or O'Neill working with a sporting director above them? Redknapp walked out of Pompey last time for that reason. Keegan has basically just done the same thing at Newcastle.
I would prefer it if our manager was making the call on players he wanted in, that way we could judge him on his signings as well as tactics.
by all means be disgruntled but booing don't help..
unless it's aimed at Comolli.
If ever there was a phrase which categorized the Spurs supporter it would be "if we just do this....". We are and have always been believers in the universal panacea: "if we just get Venables/Hoddle/Klinsman/Arshavin.....we'll be OK". Unfortunately our problems are considerably more complex than can be achieved by just one man with a spare 15-20 minutes. It is equally fair to say tho' that the responsibility lies with the men at the top, the decisions they make and the consequences of those decisions: short, medium and long term.
Take for instance our chairman's willingness to take money from other clubs as payment for them shagging us in the arse. It started with Arnensen, then Carrick and the Keane and Berbatov saga was both consequential and inevitable. If Modric turns out to be the new Maradonna, he'll be gone. The papers will set it up and our weakness for folding stuff will do the rest. Aston Villa on the other hand dug their feet in and said "No, we have a contract and you'll honour it". There will be few players at Villa who will now become either targets or not fully understand their contractual obligations.
Will Levy learn? I think not. I do admire his passion for the club, but he's not strong enough as a manager to make a stand and there are times that you have to regardless of cost. I have suspected that Comolli and some board members cajoled Levy into complicity in the Jol/Ramos circus; he appeared unwilling but was the instrument of the board, but perhaps I give him too much credit. Of course his other major mistake was hiring Comolli, a man who has proved to have the Midas touch but with shit instead of gold.
Comolli must go now both to appease the mob and at least stop some of the rot. We all know his shortcomings and Martin Jol’s comments about the continuity aspects of a DoF that involves wholesale change, as we have witnessed this summer, have a certain poignancy.
Continued in part 2..........
Part 2
The support we are giving Ramos (by & large) whose track record is a cup (won with Jol's now dismantled squad) and almost nothing else. It stands in stark contrast to the baying for Jol's head who had not only made us top five twice but had restored faith and belief.
Ramos is not the innocent party here. Jol fell out with Comolli in part because he fought for the players he wanted and it was not hard to read between the lines of what he thought he was being given. Ramos does not appear to have done this to anywhere near the same extent and certainly not to the extent he should have. Once again we go into the fray with glaring holes in our ranks, the same glaring holes we have had for years, plus of course new ones in the striker department.
Ramos should have managed upwards better. He should have dug his heels in for what he wanted, however judging by his team selection I am not sure that he knows what he wants and I worry that HE is the Rebrov we all fear getting again.
We have to persevere with him now though especially after the manner of his courtship and appointment; I believe I’d not be alone in now identifying this as the clubs biggest mistake and greatest shame.
So where now other than down?
Knee jerk reactions and sackings aside (other than Comolli who MUST go), we do need change. The idea that it’s OK, its coming together and getting better slowly, will inevitably see us relegated.
Change is necessary right now and the DoF is now a key and pivotal position to be filled by someone with the wisdom to help us out of the current plight and do what must be done in the Christmas sales. But talk of Villa or Huntelaar or maybe even Arshavin can go…….players we need now are those who will keep us in the EPL. Players we would love to see will not come to a club in our league position; this is no long a transition season but a survival season with the possibility of a transition if we’re lucky!

dance monkey dance. do you seriously think any of us are happy about the state we're in?. some of us are just a little bit more grown up about it. you want the team to stand up and be counted, but you're not prepared to do the same.
i've a feeling that carrier bag face is a regular thing in your house.
We've all had too much of the quack-comolli.
I feel sick. This is a fucking nightmare
Harold,
I ain't a fan of DC as his track record is abysmal at best. But in this regard, you need to implicate Levy. All the circumstantial evidence leads to the conclusion that Levy controls all the wonga and so any mucking around over the fee with the Russians, and the delay in selling the Bulgarian until Man Ure paid over 30 big ones, is entirely down to Levy. DC is not a real DoF but is merely an adviser to Levy. The screw-up at the end of the transfer window was entirely due to Levy being a business man rather than a football man.
Bollo was right. We probably won't see a more stunning free kick all season. Did one of the scouts say "You should take a closer look at that Geovanni... and DC thought he meant Giovani?" Maybe that explains why he wielded his own axe this past week... but anyway, as free agent acquisitions go, you'll not find many better than Geovanni.
We truly have f*cked about in the window. Not because we bought utter tripe, but because of who we bought and when, and how our business was conducted. It is noted how many here are defending Ramos' position. I actually too believe he should be given more time. But I like to play devil's advocate from time to time, so here we go. I made mention in a previous post during the window, that Jamiespurs was incorrect to state that Ramos gave Diego Capel his first start at Sevilla and made him the player he is today (or words to the effect - don't get paranoid JS, I'm simply making a point). I did say that this was not actually the case, Sevilla had a good youth/nurturing sytem in place before Ramos' arrival there, and Capel had already played for the first team prior to Ramos' tenure at the club. In fact Sevilla's academy is renowned in Spain for it's excellence when it comes to bringing talent through, and it has done so for many years now. What Ramos did with Sevilla on paper at least is admirable. However, if you look at his managerial record prior to his spell in Sevilla, it is largely uninspiring.
Which leads me to pose the question? Was Ramos actually a key difference maker at Sevilla, or was he simply good enough to steer a ship that was in already in good order, one that was being maintained and run efficiently from top to bottom?
Let's face it, with Comolli directing the operation our ship has a few gaping holes in it, and we're sinking with it. I concede it's not exactly all Ramos' fault here - but I'm not sure if he's the man to keep us afloat, either. We're short on strikers so we loan out Peckhart? Stroke of genius.
Pavlyuchenko. Yeah, he's been on the go since March. It's hard to expect him to slot in and perform 7 months into his own private season. Bent? Well, IMO he should be playing, and Pav should be resting. Bent needs to play to get some confidence. In the meantime we're still not winning when we drop him, are we? And Fraizer Campbell? How short term solution can you get? We are just assisting Manure in developing their player, right?
Comolli out. For sure. His head rolls before anyone elses does.
Right I have been doing a lot of thinking since yesterday, I have had a lot of things on my mind and listening to talk sport did not help as i ended up throwing the radio at the wall and breaking it, listening to very fickle spurs fans calling in, yes i do have anger management issues.
The first point (not most important thing, but really annoying me the most)
DEFOE (this is when radio hit the wall, so many fans bringing this up)- why is so many people saying we shouldn’t have sold him?? In hindsight yes, we shouldn’t have but when we did he was 4th choice striker!! He was never going to replace berba + keane. In the premier league, how can you keep someone of his quality happy sitting on the bench? He is a good player but when we sold him he wouldn’t have started! So will people wake up and realise we had little choice but to sell!!
Ramos - People are starting to question him, yes myself included, I do believe in him but no matter how good you are after the start we have had no matter how good you are, you will be questioned. I do think he is great and will take time to get adjusted, but we cannot keep saying this - we have only 2 points next 4 matches are crucial - there are some real hard matches and we need to grind out victories. Mysterious Stranger - how can you not give credit to Ramos for the job he did at Sevila - does that mean just cause Jose had money at Chelsea he doesn’t get any credit? He did brilliant with Sevilla - yes they had a great youth team - but he still had to bring them into the 1st team and nurture them. You also said about his managerial record - it actually is very good - if you delve a little deeper you will find out that he actually improved every team he managed (except Espanyol, 5 games, not enough) Is he the man - in short yes if he is given time, will he though, that is a different story. You need to look at what happens if he goes. IMO I believe that Poyet will be the next manager (Jol situation)
that’s why he turned down Newcastle, why else would a number 2 turn down a big job like that. Yes Newcastle are in a bit of a mess but once Newcastle are sold (1-2 months) that is most of the problem sorted – so why did Poyet turn it down?? Because he is next on line – so anybody that is critising Ramos – think about it – before saying get rid of him – I’m not saying Poyet would not be a good manager for us – but how much say is he getting tactics/substitutions if it is a lot, why get rid of Ramos and replace him with Poyet.
Levy – Okay, to you and most other Spurs fans this is out life, this is our club, we would do anything for spurs – we want the best and demand the best. Levy has done great job for this club – however he is running it like a business – which he has a right to do as we are a business – we do not have a mega rich owner who can throw money for the sake of it – and until that day Spurs have to be run like a business. If some mega rich owner wanted to buy the club Levy would sell – but this has not happened yet. He has made a considerable amount of money available for transfers. So for that I acknowledge, obviously we would like more, but we always want more. He has also got some good deals for players Berba + Keane, see next point. To finish with Levy he has done a great job for this club and needs to be backed until we get/if we get a mega rich owner.
Berba/Keane – How fickle are fans? People saying we shouldn’t have sold? Did we have a choice?????? I would have loved them to have stayed – if we had them we would not be bottom table. Berba – wanted to leave he didn’t want to wear the shirt – do people think Ramos/Comolli/Levy just said sell him and didn’t try to persuade him to stay – NO he wanted to leave. Which is why we sold him for 30 mill + Fraz on loan – again Levy could have done it quicker but we wouldn’t have got as much – again see previous Tottenham is a business.
Keane same type of story – however I thought Keane would have had more loyality – he didn’t and wanted to go – s we had to sell and again 20 mill was a good deal for ourselves. In short if players don’t want to play for our beloved tottenham – they can go, no matter who they are! So don’t say try and get them to stay – that has obviously happened but they didn’t want to – so we had no choice but to sell.
Final Point Comolli
This is the big point as I am so divided about him – I believe he has brought some great players to the club but also some poor acquisitions. Lets look at his signings
Esokotto – 3.5 mill – to be honest has not played enough matches (injuries etc.) at the moment maybe not worth 3.5 but he is not a terrible player and is still young.
Zokora – 8.6 mill – not good enough for that type of money – at the time thought he would be great but not premiership class.
Berba – 10.6mill – Great signing – trebled in value.
Pekhart – free – def great for free- can make money – could turn out good.
Mido – undis – not a bad signing – made money on him
Malbranque – 2mill – not bad signing – made money on him
Chimbonda – 4.5 – not bad signing – never lost any money on him
Rocha – 3.2 – Poor signing
Taarabt – undis – Could be good – wont loose any money on him – needs first team action
Bale – 5mill – bargain – will be a great signing.
Bent 16.5 mill – too much money for an average prem striker.
Kaboul 8 mill – not proved his value – sold for 5 mill
Boateng – 5.4 mill – waste of money
Gunter – 3mill – early days – but 3 mill reasonable price for some1 his age
Woodgate 8 mill – reasonable value – good signing
Hutton 9 mill – good signing – be great right back- missed him
Gilberto – 1.9 mill – poor siging however if we sell him – wont make a big loss- if a loss.
Modric 15.8 mil – needs time to adjust. At time everyone thought great signing – whichg I belive he will turn out to be.
Bostock – 700grand – bargain
Giovanni – 4.7 mill – bargain – he will turn out great for us – we will not loose money
Gomes – 7.8 mill – good signing
Corluka – 8.5 mill – good signing – will be good c/h with woody
Pavlychenko – 13.8 mill – too early to judge.
Bently 15 mill – great signing at the time – he has underperformed (not comolli fault)
So looking at the signings
Poor Players brought in – Zokora/Rocha/Bent/Kaboul/Boateng. (I have not included anyone that we will make money on or break even with) so that is 5 players out of 23 players mentioned above. 21% of his players have been poor. Is that a good enough record? I do not know as I have nothing to compare it too – all I know is that every club makes poor signings. So maybe an 80% strike rate is good.
IMO I am not blaming Comolli as much as players+ramos as are squad is good enough to be performing a hell of a lot better than what it is.
I have just completed my UEFA A license and plan to do pro – i would love levy to phone me and offer me the job – I would install better confidence in the players + let a few home truths out. I had an idea about a team selection – 1nce everyone is fully fit – how about playing King DM – until we buy one.
Gomes
Hutton
Woody
Corluka
Bale
Gio
King
Jenas
Modric
Bently
Pav
(I really like that team Gio on left, bently on right) Im actually excited looking at it – plz Ramos play this side!)
Sorry for long article needed to get stuff off my chest.

Morning all,
Well, just when I though it couldn't get any worse....... However, watching the highlights of yesterdays game we actually looked like we were playing football and trying to score. My dad watched the whole game and he said that it was a far better performance than most he has seen from us all season.
The Hull goal was stupendous. It possibly is one of the best free kicks you will see anywhere all season.
A brief assessment>
I agree with Bimi's assessment of Lennon 'looking menacing' however I feel he flatters to deceive. Lots of running at his man and putting his body at silly angles but how often does he 'hurt' sides? IMO Bentley may well when fit contribute more to the side.
Bimi's assessment of dropping Bale for the Stoke game is HORRID. Mainly because the only other LB options are Gilberto and BAE (2 of the worst Comolli signings EVER) Bale will come good, he's been hit by the malaise that is surrounding the club at present.
Woody - A captain if ever there was. A man who should and I believe will lead us out of this slump.
Corluka - When Hutton is back fit Corluka will surely form a good CB partnership with Woody. Hull free kick aside and the Marney post they snuffed Hull out.
Gunter - Get off the kids back. He's 19 playing his first full season of PL football and he's playing in a team that has 0 confidence. Not an easy task.
Zokora - WHY? WHY? WHY?
Modric - Apparently beginning to settle into the PL. Once Ramos actually settles on where he wants to play him I'm sure he'll become a star.
Bent - Again, get off the guys back. He's got NO service from the midfield all season. He's surviving on scraps at the moment.
All in all, a defeat against Hull at home as Arsenal will testify is a shock. a BIG shock. However, from what I'm hearing and from what I saw yesterday the performance was improved.
I may be delusional but I still believe that someone very soon will get a tonking from us.
Our main problem is not complicated. We lost three top class strikers and have not replaced them. End of. Unless you believe it is Ramos's job to buy and sell players you cannot blame him. The world and his drunk grandmother new that Berba was leaving at the beginning of the summer. We had the money so what was to stop us buying a decent replacement early ? After all, if by some miracle Berb had stayed we would have been in the same situation as last season where we had 4 potential first team strikers.
The quality of crosses into their penalty area yesterday may have varied but there were in enough of them for a decent striker to take advantage of.

He does run around and snuff out trouble and YES we do need players who won't stop running. However, Zoks passing lets him down.
I really don't see how he gets the nod ahead of JOH. JOH runs around and snuffs out trouble just like Zok, the main difference is that young JOH CAN pass and is probably more of a threat when we are on the offensive.

Pavlychenko... The russian Gary "Ginger Pele"...dance monkey dance. do you seriously think any of us are happy about the state we're in?. some of us are just a little bit more grown up about it. you want the team to stand up and be counted, but you're not prepared to do the same.

Stand up and be counted??? I've done nothing but be ridiculed by wandering around with my beloved shirt on. BUT if you think I am cheering that shower of shite then you're going to be sorely disappointed.
What did you do after the game then? Cheer them for a hard earned loss? Congratulate them on all the effort they put in?
Did you fairycakes!
And yes.... Carrier bag face is a regular feature recently... Due to a distinct and obvious lack of sphericals on many of our players.
And as far as your grown up comment goes, the only people that I did see with a smile on their face as I trudged back to Northumberland Park yesterday were small children nipping in the shops to buy sweets. Everyone else looked decidedly fucked off..... Oh and most people around me booed.... apart from one lad who was playing a PSP....
Wasn't you was it?
I think we've been generous in giving the leaders a 15 points head start. Champions League here we come....

As I say - I wasn't there.
But it sounds strong.
1st: We have to stick with JR and put a stop this management merry go round we've been unable to get off for the last ten years
2nd: Comolli has to go, he's consistantly crap at his job and has failed us, JR and MJ for the last 3 years
3rd: Do we need to replace him? If JR wants another DoF then get the man in that he wants, if JR doesnt want a DoF then don't bother and let him get on finding and signing his own players.
4th: Levy has consistantly dipped his hand in his deep pockets and spent big money on players, unfortunately they have been bought on the advice of Comolli and not the manager- get Comolli out.

To be bottom of the league after 7 games, three of which are home games against Sunderland, Wigan and Hull is a disgrace.
however saying that, by far best performance of the season. Considering we still lost, i am not sure if that if that is encouraging or not.

After reading this morning that Mr Ramos has a 15 mill get out clause in his contract if he gets the big size 10, I don't think we have to worry about JR getting the boot. After all Levy runs the club as a business first and a footbal club second. Writting off his Berba cash isn't on his agenda.
We must stick by Ramos and hope that there is more wisdom applied for the January transfere window.
I agree that the lawyer has to go. Incompetenace is costing us dearly. We must move on quickly and get behind the team. Too much booing i feel is really affecting what little confidence may remain on the pitch.

Reply to onedavemackay:And for all you Zokora baiters.
I have been one of his biggest critics but he was pretty good again yesterday. He reads the game well and covers and clears up a lot of dangerous situations. And if you want players who don't give up and never stop fighting He da man.He does run around and snuff out trouble and YES we do need players who won't stop running. However, Zoks passing lets him down.
I really don't see how he gets the nod ahead of JOH. JOH runs around and snuffs out trouble just like Zok, the main difference is that young JOH CAN pass...
I am a fan of O'Hara and he is more creative than Zok. But Zok is a more effective defensive midfielder and in our most recent matches he has been our most consistent player.
A lot of people who were in the Park Lane upper seemed to be getting caught up in player hating, conveniently looking over the good play to concentrate on the bad.
I swear some of them get a srange kick out of seeing us fail.
Is this behaviour restricted to my small section of the ground or is it more widespread?

play King DM.
let modric and jenas push forward.
Wayne
King is struggling to patrol the 18yrd box at present.
IMO his knees would give way if he had to get around the midfield too. It hurts me to say it but Corluka and Woody's new partnership may spell the end for Captain King.
There is no point in letting Wwoody and Corluka build up a partnership if its going to get broken up everytime Ledley makes it to 90% fit.

O'Hara has a lot of good qualities but at the moment Zok is our best defensive midfielder and much of what he does goes unnoticed. It's interesting that most of us who were there agree on that.

I understand what your saying but I think he could do a job there rather than keep changing the back 4 just to put him in. I know he is not going to last there every match.
IMO he could do a decent enough job, just sitting in front of the back 4 breaking play up and passing it to Mod or JJ.
Maybe it is my heart talking (in saying play him DM) as I think he is a great player and just want him playing.
ledley is finished, injury ravaged slow and not even half the player he was.
stop even considering the possibility orf relying on him to perform any role for us.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to get down to the lane anytime soon. Its a bloody long way away these days! I have to rely on the internet P2P's and speaking to people who saw it. However, my spies did tell me that it was a much improved performance (but we still lost
)
I understand your case about Zokora and I appreciate what he brings to the team. Its just frustrating that he seems unable to hit a half decent pass. Its ok when he keeps it simple but unfortunately by the time he has won the ball and then worked it to someone who can pass we have lost the impetus and the 'break' is over before it started.
Agree about Zok and King and Woody for captain. I dont see any comment about Jenas so far, he was quite good yesterday but no surprise because it was due. Lets hope he play for England and get injured, knee ligament or broken ankle or something and out for months because thats the only way I can see Ramos not playing him.

i thought the performance yesterday was an improvement. their goal was one they'll be telling their grandkids about. after which they parked panzers on the lawn. we've lost the best strikeforce in the prem. and, through ineptitude or negligence, failed to replace them. so, no surprise, we couldn't break them down. i saw no lack of effort, just a lack of guile and confidence.

Jenas to me is a good player however not good enough if we are looking to break into top 4.
However looking at our current squad he warrants a place in the centre midifeld. I think he puts a lot of work in and believe his end product is a hell of lot better than zokora.
So in short yes, there are better players out there but we dont have them so at the moment he should start.
Bently - I do believe he will turn good - needs time and games at rw.
Dawson - Not a bad squad player - not good enough to start but ok in emergencies - still young for centre half.

jamie, this daws thing is becoming an obsession.
Not much to be said that hasnt already said.
I would like to develop the point about on pitch leadership though;
Yesterday i saw bright young footballers in Chris Gunter, Gareth Bale & Fraze Campbell looking like they had the weight of the world on their shoulders.
Bale was the best of the 3 but appeared to lose heart early in the second half.
Gunter was taking up some cracking postions but his decisions and delivery were suffering due to what appeared to be sheer anxiety. He was rushing and looked flustered.
Campbell took Gunters issues to another level, he looked like his legs had gone to jelly and had no control over them.
To me thats when a leader is of paramount importance, to be fair Jenas worked as hard as ive seen anyone work as did Zokora but they are lacking in Targets up top and/or quality. I digress. Not one player seemingly put an arm round the young lads and "look son, no pressure, take it easy and play your game". In addition to this i saw nothing from the touch line either, instead what we ended up with was FC looking like a headless chicken, Bale losing interest and Gunter looking relieved to be subbed. Whats that all about? not their fault but about time somebody stuck their loaf above the parapet.
Its players and situations like this that arent helping our cause and exactly what makes us ripe for picking at the moment.
A captain is a captain regardless of whether or not he has an elastic armband to confirm it. Leadership skills are not being shown by a single member of that team, Woodgate included (fine player though he is) For example, Man Utd will have several players on the pitch at any one time who would be capable of captaining the side and the mere fact that they havent got an armband on does not stop them "captaining" the side or organising/motivating.
Time to stand up and be counted Tottenham. Stoke will smell the blood even that far up the M6 like a school of sharks.
Morning everyone. Bleak, bleak and more bleakness.
On the plus side as many have said Woodgate, as all season, looked huge and should be captain. Also he's far more comfortable in front of a camera than the painfully shy and softly spoken Led!
Corluka is class and the two will surely go on and form a formidable partnership.
For all my Bentley is carrying too much timber, he came on and shone I thought. Actual quality deliveries, admittedly there was no one to cross to but...
Modric is sllloooooowwwwllly improving and maybe it's dumb hope but I think he'll prove class, if we ever get some confidence.
I thought in the second half we played some really good football and the crowd were huge!
Hull's free kick would've beaten anyone...
Here is the thing for me though...Ramos is a good manager and I am in favour of keeping him and backing him for now, but as we all know sometimes a new face just gets a lift and change in fortunes... There is now a case to say that we could stick with the better manager in Ramos and potentialy go down?! Highly unlikely I know, but starting to not look impossible.
If we beat Stoke and Bolton, confidence will start flooding back and Ramos will be fine, but lose and the gap starts to open and then a horror run of four very losable games. By which point it'll virtually be too late...certainly for Ramos.
The difference with Derby, is that we are an unlucky and underperforming quality side with some world class players... they were just shit.
If it does come to it and the board(or the man from Delmonte as Sugar calls them!) say enough is enough, I would go for Roy Keane and could see him coming..fan etc. Let's all hope it doesn't come to that...
I am optimistic we can turn it around, but I'm also a realist and realise there will come a point...and a point's not good enough, we need three.
Long term we could do with guacomolli gone, but that isn't what gives the players a lift...

With all due respect, how has cheering them helped? As far as I am concerned, clapping them off at the end of the game is condoning it.
We lost the best strikeforce in the premiership, correct. But there are still players on that pitch who are payed an amount of money that I would cream in my pants to have and yet they still can't hit a barn door.
Please don't forget.... we've got over £25m worth of striker out there on that pitch... yet they stroll around (jenas just about week in week out), make lazy runs, lacklustre passing, poor tackles etc etc.
I applaud your optimism, I fear it is somewhat misguided.
No-one in their right mind would pick Hull as a better team than us on paper. The one thing that makes them better? Heart.... Pure unadulterated grit and determination to survive in the premier league. Technically less gifted than us.... but bags more drive and determination.
THAT's why I boo. Because IF they put as much effort in on the pitch as I do in my "pretend to kick and head it everytime we get it" moments then I am certain that we would grind out some results.
The fact is, these guys can swan about and then at the end of the season, when the team goes down, they fuck off to another club, citing "career progression" and "damaging to my international chances" as reasons to leave. When THEY are the reason a club goes down.
Oh... and me booing doesn't make me feel better... but the cat get's an easier ride when I get home....

However looking at our current squad he warrants a...Dawson........... We should have signed his brother!
Andy has played blinders against Arsenal and now us. Michael has just looked blind.when we signed him - i was excited - thought good one for the future.
im not saying start him but he def not a bad squad player.
corluka+woody good centre halfs with dawson as a back up.
Least no one will blame Comolli for Dawson lolMe(Jenas), JS(Dawson) and JGM(Bentley) and it was Comolli woh signed them. So yes its Comolli to blame. Lets hope he crash his car or something like that.

Bent.
Watched the game yesterday and thought it was perhaps our best performance to date this season. Alright, the result didn't go our way but you can't but applaud their goal, it really was a sensational strike. We are getting there, maybe a bit too slowly, but at least we're getting there.
Bentley played well when he came on, gave them something new to think about and for nearly the first time in weeks we had balls coming in from the wings that gave an opposing defence problems.
Was dissappointed to see Lennon come off for Gio, thought one of the central midfielders would make way Mod/Jen/Zok although all 3 played ok. Mod still looks like he's getting to grips with it, gave away too much sloppy balls especially in the first half. Agree with most of the comments that Zok is by far our best DM to date. Not sure on Jenas, still seems to go missing through large parts of the game
Nobody is saying that all footballers aren't scum to a man, I wouldn't want to have a drink with any of them, but when I've invested money on season tickets, travel and not to mention an enormous amount of emotion, I think what is the best way to maximise Spurs chances of winning, because I'm a fan. Boo and create an atmosphere where they're scared to make a mistake and play or support, encourage then bitch like a girl on this website when it doesn't work out! Oh and by all means assault your cat, I'm a dog man....cue the jokes...

Lets hope he play for England and get injured, knee ligament or broken ankle or something and out for months because thats the only way I can see...
good attitude to have - lets hope 1 of our players gets injured!!??
Because he is shit and will always be.... How long has he been in the club? 3-4 years? Thats a long time, and still no improvement! And to make it worse, he is the captain! What a waste of space. He is shit. End of.

comolli joined us in july 2005 - dawson joined in jan. so was not a comolli signing.
However Dawson is not a bad player at 4mill, if we were to sell him we would not loose any money - for 4 mill could we buy a better back up?
Jenas - 7 mill (with add ons) again there are better players out there but i believe again he is a good squad player (at moment should start as no better there) again if we got someone better - jenas is a good squad player. if we do sell him - we will not loose any money.
Bently - how can you judge bently with only so little of a season gone? bently imo was overpriced but that was due to the inflation of transfer market when we signed him. i think he will turn out good - but give him a chance.

Thats almost the whole team mate.
A bit too harsh about Modric and Gio tho, they needs time. But no complaints about Bent. How he scored 10+ goals for Charlton remains mystery. Maybe he scored hatrick against bottom three teams and some penalties. And dissapeared for the rest of games.

Im saying we need a miracle. Preferrably starting in those 2 positions.
i have to agree with many of your points. i wasn't advocating cheering them, since the performance didn't warrant that. i just didn't think it deserved booing either.
i have to agree the lesser skilled teams are all heart and effort. our problems are motivation, confidence and balance. big transfer fees and wages are not, on their own, great motivators. wendy has a share of the blame for failing to put out balanced teams of motivated players. the confidence will come from good performance.
i do understand your viewpoint and applaud your passion for the club, i just don't agree with the way you vent your frustration.

Makes a mockery of the fact that that most of our recent signings cited Ramos as a major influence on their decisions to sign for us if true
Ramos needed sole control from day one and i dont think he's had it. He was undermined before he started and now it shows. Our only hope is that the situation isnt too far gone.

2. A printed or written sign used to represent an operation, element, quantity, quality, or relation, as in mathematics or music.

cym·bal (smbl)

other than being irritating that our market doesn't force those kind of salaries, money has f all to do with it, frankly. They win european games and it makes serious money for the club, hence the salaries. I don't agree with them, but accept it and move on..I actually don't think they're not trying and that somehow if we said right from now on you're playing for your money we'd see any improvement. They've got no confidence and are scared to play the final ball/shot in case it goes wrong and we hammer them.
I appreciate I'm asking to change the psyche of football fans and that you do pay hard earned money to go and follow them, but doesn't supporting mean just that?!
I don't think the performances have been disrespectful, just not good enough. A bit of luck or moment of magic and it will all change.

"What's the difference between Spurs and a toothpick?", one of the Polish guys cleaning my car beams as I hand over the readies for a hard 7 minutes work. "A toothpick has more points."
Cue strained laughter, and a hasty getaway. But what can you do? This is what it's come to. Being ridiculed by the help. I want to side with those of you I usually find myself empathising with, but alas, today, that is no more likely to happen than being up to my nuts in secretarial guts by the end of the lunch hour.
For the first time ever, I find myself cogitating the merits of the boo-boys. How else are the masses able to convey to the man at the helm that "Yes, we are attempting to force your hand. You need to start picking up the phone and start sounding managers agents, because by the way, we are royally pissed." Fair enough, Ramos has done a reasonable job in the last two years - (remind you of anyone?) but what was he doing of world class note between 1993 and 2004? F#ck him. And that argentine he rode in on.
DoF. Shevchenko. Ramos. What's the connection? All things that work in Europe that are apparently sh!t in the UK. If I had me a lamp, I'd rub the sheen right off that sucker wishing the DoF setup right out of WHL, and with it the riding their P45s into the sunset of Dame, Juande, Gus (yeah, I said it), and that russian "striker". In with a cheap January Owen, and Redknapp Daley - and he can bring that Diarra chap with him in all.
And now, I need to be at one with myself while I tune up this booing malarkey. Not during a game, mind, but staying behind 10 minutes to bay like hounds looks like it sure might be a sound investment of time.
At least that toothpick joke's been consigned to history for another year, I pondered as the polish lads buffed the car down yesterday. "Alright boss," piped up the same grubby urchin. "What's the difference between Spurs and a triangle?"

Dear oh dear...
in my defence,
i am brought low by the teams inadequacies and the depressive posts. i'll get me coat, taxi for mr. knacker
Some managers have the fortune of being in the right club at the right time. They inherit/buy/oversee the assembly of a squad o players that 'click' and the ensuring short term success garners the manager commendations far exceeding their talents.
Keegan at Newcastle, OLeary at Leeds and now Ramos at Sevilla.
It is when they are asked to repeat that success at a different club without the momentum of fortune at their back that you realise what the grand total of their 'expertise' really comprises. and its not a lot.
I guess in hindsight looking at his record pre Sevilla and Sevillas continuation of good form since his departure its not really that surprising.
but still, relegation? thats takes some serious doing.

Pav is knackered, but looks the business so rest him. Play Frazier and Bent up front...or RECALL PEKHART FROM HIS LOAN SPELL AND PLAY HIM, but either way we need to do something.
Ramos, im sure, is a world class coach. but just as some players don't settle in the Premier League, some managers don't either. Jean Tigana, Jacques Santini for example. All Ramos has shown me this season and last is that he is tactically inept, and thinks we can do anything in the PL with a team of incoherent individuals.
Sure, Steed, Teemu and Pascal weren't the best players, but for 2 years under Jol, they were part of a great TEAM.

Agreed. But why do people have to score their career best goals against us?! I challenge you to respond in a grown up way???
Erm, I didn't think about the whole career best goals thing, but now you mention it, I seem to remember Seb Larsson scoring a corker for the horrible Blue cunts last year, and Bareth Garry scoring one for us against you the year before...
I cant explain why, but maybe you should look to buy better goalies?

from what i have seen of hutton both for rangers/ourselves for the limited games he has played he looks better than chimbonda - people say chimbonda part of great team - his attitude stunk - i dont forget carling cup final etc.
Bently has not delivered for us yet (again bold and underline this) but from his spell at blackburn looks better than steed.
Gio - Young and will improve - i would have rather spent 4.9 on him rather than 4.9 on steed. Again needs time. But i have seen enough of him to know he will be good player. (Changed game at newcastle, when introduced)
JJ - Has proved more reliable than teemu in terms of fitness and performance
Modric - Needs time to prove himself (his performances before joining spurs were good) so i dont think many ppl can judge him so far, he is young and will improve.
Lacks much evidence i know - but then again any new signings for any club lack evidence.
I see you've inexplicably hit home with this comment, DoubleVision.
Wayne,
Hutton is defo better than that arse Chimbo. I agree with that. Hutton and Teemu would have been great mates by now id imagine. Chewing the fat on the treatment table! Hutton is key to bolstering our attacking threat. I love watching him bomb forward.
Bentley - As you say yet to impress. Something about him worries me, he's not as much of a thoroughbred as i thought he was.
Gio - Im struggling to understand him so far. A bit head down but is very young.
JJ - Tries bless him! productivity is next to nil though for me. Tainio was a constant in some of our best displays last season - then the axe fell upon him for no other reason than his fitness record. For example, surely Ramos doesnt believe that Hud and O'hara are better than an international with a team who got more qualification points than England in the Euros with Champs league wins at Anfield and highbury? Or maybe he does. Its largley irrelevant now.
Fair point mate, i wish we werent having this debate, i wish we were discussing how awesome Pavs hat-trick at the weekend was and how good Bales free kick into the top corner was etc etc.....alas....

Bentley -...
im not saying teemu was a bad player - just not reliable fitness wise - as proven at sunderland now. at least jj is proven fitness wise.
bently - i just think we paid over the odds - i do belive he will prove good - just think it was a bit 2 much money.
gio - will def need time to adjust - but def has the potential.
yes agree, wish we were not having the debate - but i honestly belive we got a good deal selling those players (financially).
Confidence is the key factor - we have a good squad lacking confidence - we need back to back wins. Stoke will be tricky but there only threat Delap long throws - Gomes will be coming and punching them away.
2 weeks off now is good - players relax and get focused on the job in hand.

i think most of the players we sold were good deals, my issue is that too many went in one go meaning there was little in the way of continuity (spelling?).
The big thing is time, we need to give them more time, this with a couple of quality additions (DM, CB, CF) could turn us once again into a decent outfit. Unfortunatly time is one thing we're running out of.

Yes I agree with you - all outgoing deals were very very good. yes it all happened very fast - ramos needs time - will he get it, i hope he does - but the next 4 matches are crucial. if after 4 matches we are in the same situation -then what happens.
I just think we are missing a great DM and quality striker. (Corluka+Woody Centre Halfs) I think owen would be ideal. Pav and Owen - what a partnership - Goals Goals Goals!!
please ramos and players - manage/play with confidence - we are a quality team - start showing it!!

Appiah IMO is good to go for a few more years. Why offer him a short term deal? I'd give him a 2 year with an option for a 3rd.
That way we wouldn't have the Zokora debate and we'd have agenuine top class CDM in the engine room.
All the pressure wouldn't be on Diarra (if he comes) then.
Nunchucks - Diarra, Pompey IMO would want about £12m-15m for him. Expensive but its a position we need to fill

The only rolling that fat f*cker will do is Pastry Rolling! Besides he could probably barrell roll quicker than he could run nowadays!

yes harry did say that - but how true was it? Diarra said at his press conference he is using portsomouth as a stop gap - if what redknapp is saying is true then Diarra would have to have been informed.
I think redknapp was saying that to inform worried fans that they are keeping their best players.
Just imaging diarra - making tackle after tackle in our midfield - passing the ball, not just any wear - but to someone in a spurs shirt.
Im writing my letter to santa now, Diarra, Owen and Capel.
Those 3 would completly transform us.
We are only a few signings short aof a great team!

Bang on the money then!
We all know that HR had to seel before he could buy. I reckon our usual deadline day dealings culminated in the loss of OWEN and DIARRA.
If we had gone in and tried to have done a deal for them in good time before the window shut then IMO the clubs would have sold them. As it is, that clown DC has managed to fuc* the squad up and Ramos' preparations have gone out the window and we find ourselves in the position we are in right now.
i just dont think comolli has done as much worng as people are making out.
As i have said before i dont think he has been exceptional but imo i think he taken too much of the blame when it is not his fault for what goes on on the pitch.

I'm pretty sure an 18 stone, one legged, nothing to prove Ronaldo would be petter than Bent or FC. Can you imagine him putting over the bar from 6 yards or missing other such sitters, even as a he is?
What about Bent?

Unfortunately Ginge, I cannot imagine Ronaldo getting out of bed for no less than £80k a week at this stage in his career. The guy is a lost cause, he seems as if he doesn't care if he gets back into football or not. He hasn't been training at any clubs or sounding like he's putting the hard yards in to get back his fitness or form. Wouldn't touch him with a shitty scaffold pole.
We don't have wholesale changes? I also saw the rationale however Ramos didn't fancy Taino, Chimbo, Steed, JD, Big Tony etc etc & the likes of Rocha, Stalterrible, Prince, LYP Ghaly etc that's pretty wholesale to me and as such shows it doesn't work. In my humble opinion.

I reckon he'd be tempted at a last hurrah in the EPL, massive gamble, but who better to gamble on? No fee a few quid in wages for a few months and if it works you get a 75% or even 50% Ronaldo you get the best player in our team by a country mile! If not hey ho there's not many other players we could pick up outside the transfer window (don't know how fit, as in his leg rather than his weight, is?)

Well the last time he came back from injury for AC he didn't last very long at all. IMO his knee must be a million times worse than King's! And thats saying something. A BIG risk on a BIG player (I am ralking about his weight!)

You're dead to me.
go on put all your complaints bout comolli in bullet points - list them all i want to see them.
Levy an Comoli deserve stick for leaving us in a difficult position. By that I mean far too short up front. In the end there was not much that could be done with the fact Keane and Berbs were hell bent on shitting on us. But that should not have stopped us replacing them. I am a fan of Levy but what would have been wrong in setting a deadline to manure of 1st August AND sticking with it? Or why could we not have bought a top class replacement before berbs went and sold bent on deadline day if it turned out manure were not prepared to come up with the cash and berbs stayed? That would have covered us either way. We had the cash to do it.
They ran this one too close to the wire and it has seriously backfired. This is in stark contrast to every window previously when we have been better for it.
That said the squad we do have is seriously underacheiving. That can only be laid at Ramos' door. What is more worring to me is our current form mirrors that of the last two months of last season.
Post the cup victory we have been pathetic. But then you have to look some of the performances before the final and the final itself where it seemed we finaly had a top boy in charge(I liked Jol, not convinced he had that little bit extra that is needed).
How does that compare to the sort of selection and tactics we are seeing now? Zokora at RB when Gunter should play? Bale at LM when Benny Hill is at LB? Dawson at CB with Woody when clearly Corluka is the better bet in place of King? Changing the system that WORKED against Ch£l$ki, loosing against Villa and STILL not going back to the one that worked? The whole team playing as though they expect to get beaten and absolutely NO direction once in the last third?
Both Levy's performance and that of Ramos is significantly below par. The cynic in me would suggest that the only logic behind the performance of both men lies in one selling up and the other wanting off to sunnier climes, with a substantial wedge in his back bin.

What the fuck? I just submitted for your perusal a quoted scenario whereby Comolli submitted a bid for a Diarra on _transfer_deadline_day_. Why wait until hours before the window closes to feel around for a CDM, when it's well documented that this is a key position that needs addressing?
You want a bullet point; here you go:
i) answer the fucking question.
I can't say I'll pay it any attention seeing as you went on record as saying that, in your opinion, Rasiak was a pretty good signing... :/
But it still shows that a new manager might not fancy the players we have and want new players. We've got most of are squad (including first 11) changed, this I think shows it hasn't worked based on what they said in the past
In terms of rasiak - by saying pretty good signing - we did NOT LOOSE any money on him - so we should not be commenting on it.
If you bought a 10 year old skoda for 250 quid and realised it was shit and sold it 6 months later for 250 quid, would you complain? no cause you didnt loose any money! he took a gamble buying him - didnt pay off - but didnt loose anything by taking the gamble.
Diarra - i agree that we should have bid a bit earlier but then again we could have had other targets that did not materialise - or we thought 15mill would be enough to get Diarra - which imo should have been enough.
deadline day is hectic with deals going through all over the place, Comolli thought 15mill would be enough for diarra - it wasnt - end of - that is not comolli fault - if we had of bid 25mill and got him - every1 would have been saying too much money for him
Comolli is in a no1 situation with a lot of ppl - every signing he makes is scruitinised. Not every signing is going to be good - its time ppl started realising this.

Every chairman out there balances the books (unless we have a mega rich consortium owning us). To enic and Levy this club is a BUSINESS.
Risdale (billy bean counter??) he ruined leeds by spending too much money on players - believe they could balance the books by champions league qualification - it didnt happen and look at them now!!!
Levy has to balance the books - imo he has done a decent enough job of providing funds for managers.
I would love for us to an infinite amount of money but we dont - so we have to make do with Levy.
He has said he will sell the club - if the right offer/investor is viable. Until then balancing the books is what he has to do!

Now tell me which...
i do rate ramos - he needs time.
players that comolli has brought in - this is my opionin on them all.

I didn't YOU want to brink in crap players. It's just there is alot of other costs involved than just looking at the profit on the sale. You're right that a Sporting Director cannot be sure how the player will adjust ie from being cable in CL play to fitting in well in the Prem, but he can at least make certain that players are purchased for the positions and style of play that is needed. He should buy four skinny attacking midfielders when we have a hobbled CB and NO decent DM. He's shouldn't have bought Bent when we had forwards, but a shakey backline. etc. He's a muppet IMO.

Risdale (billy bean counter??) he ruined leeds by spending too much money on players - believe they could balance the books by champions league...risdale
OR
billy bean counter.
FYI raziak came in aug2005, comolli sept2005.
the only facts u get right are the £££££.
accountant
It's gracious to say he's even got that right.
In for £2.2M, plus wages.
Out for up to £2M.
That constitutes a loss.
But, your argument is theoretically sound. Take Klinsmann, for example. In for £2M, but we only got rid of him for £1.3M. Ergo, Grzegorz Rasiak: good business. Jurgen Klinsmann: bad business.
I totally get it. No question, you really know what you're talking about.
A jammie dodger to the first player who makes a Wayneker reference.
Well, I fucked that up. I'll try again: I didn't say YOU want to brink in crap players. It's just there is alot of other costs involved than just looking at the profit on the sale. You're right that a Sporting Director cannot be sure how the player will adjust ie from being capable in CL play to fitting in well in the Prem, but he can at least make certain that players are purchased for the positions and style of play that is needed. He shouldn't buy four skinny attacking midfielders when we have a hobbled CB and NO decent DM. He's shouldn't have bought Bent when we had forwards, but a shakey backline. etc. He's a muppet IMO.

What the fuck is wrong with you?nothing why - what is wrong?
Your theory about balancing the books is twaddle. How about what it "costs" the club when they bring in a crap player and the team suffers? Building up from there should always considered rather than just looking how much profit or loss came from the sale.
You are talking bollocks...i never once said that i want the club to bring in crap players - i do not mind the club gambling a few mill on players which could be fantastic if not we can sell them on and break even on them.

the 4 skinny attacking midfielder imo are good players and prove to be that. (they will take time to adjust - so we have to be patient)
As i already have said - Bent was a poor buy as mentioned.
Shaky Backline - he has brought in bale, hutton, corluka, woodgate, gomes - i think they are good players?? all of which are better than what we had???
I agree no decent DM - however what quality options are there available?
Come on, pal. Don't insult yourself.
(a) Spurs "play" Portsmouth on the 28th September.
(b) Redknapp goes on record with making news of the bid public on the same day before the divots have even been put back in the pitch.
What other team in the Premiership fits the M.O. of the following:
(c) - is in the market for a CDM?
(d) - has a budget able to stretch to £15M bids on single players?
(e) - has a suspect tradition of doing business on transfer deadline day?
So, no. I suppose I don't know for certain that it was Spurs behind the deadline day Diarra bid, in the same way that I don't know for certain that Osama Bin Laden was behind Project Twin Towers.

thats not what im saying - im saying for a few million quid we took a gamble on rasiak - he had scored goals at championship level - we took the gamble knowing that if he was not to perform we would recoup the money.

Lets hope its not true, we need Arshavin badly. Get that fucking Comolli out now!
My cousin's friend's workmate knows someone who spoke to Comolli and he said that you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet
Nah, can't be true
