Great news about Gus. I'm glad to see that he genuinely believes in Wendy's 'project' and lets hope he stays a yiddo for many more years to come.

IMO Ramos, Poyet & Alvarez are the best coaching team we have had at the club for many years and at this stage in our premiership career a certain degree of stability is vital. I know our squad has constantly changed but now that we have a young squad I'm hoping that the coaching staff & playing staff can 'grow' together. You only have to see how stability can help a club challenge for trophies by glancing at ManUre. Lets hope our board see that and try to keep the stability going at Spurs.

Here's hoping to a night where our international stars stay injury free and come back ready for our 3 games in 6days!! I cannot believe that the PL see us play on a Monday (Villa) and a Sunday (Wigan) when we have a european tie on Thursday night (Krakow) - Time for Juande to use the squad!!

The story in the link suggested that Spurs will be ok with Poyet leaving as they will promote Clive Allen to 1st team coach. I for one dont want poyet to leave but if he does want to take the Newcastle job (it seems unlikely) then its his loss.

Looking at the Gus scenario from the other side of the fence as it were, Mike Ashley would be commiting footballing suicide in appointing Gus Poyet as manager.
Although everyone takes the piss, Newcastle are a fair sized club, not a million miles away from the size of spurs.

I was thinking that the Northern Echo story on Gus seemed more plausible as it referred to very different points that have not been talked about in the usual national tabloids.

I hate the Daily Mail. Journalism is poor and it is predominantly geared towards the top 4, in particular Arsenal. The sports editor appears to be a scummer as 99% of the stories they write about Spurs are very negative.

Is this the same Mr Poyet who assisted Wendy in motivating our boys to go from 14th place to the dizzying heights of 11th, after proving themselves capable of beating arse 5-1 and chelski 2-1? The same Gustavo who helped prepare our glorious preseason heroes for the two disastrous opening games against teams who finished below us last season?

Don't get me wrong; I don't consider Gus & Wendy rubbish or anything silly but league wise particularly, they've got it all to prove.
