A brisk day.
Stephen Appiah emerged from the Witness Protection Program to play in another training game at The Lodge. It's official. His middle name is indeed, Tornado.
The Adriano dream is over. Pie in the sky. Specifically, a serves four Marks & Spencer Chicken, Ham and Sweetcorn pie. Served with baby potatoes, mange tout and baby carrots. A two litre tub of mint choc chip ice cream and two bottles of Cava. ""Adriano won't be going to Tottenham" said the Brazilian's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi.
The forthcoming match against Portsmouth has the authorities in a tizz. "The club does not tolerate abusive, offensive or obscene chanting, including anything of a homophobic nature." Said THFC.
So expect arrests in the Park Lane end. "Bentley you f****** h*** c*** should secure your name, address and a CCTV snap of you with your 'game face on' in The Telegraph.
And all for him failing to beat the first man on a corner. I bet Sol's glad he only has to face us twice a year and not twice a week.
So where does that leave us? Ah yes, With Chimbonda's agent on line two. Shall I say you're still at the hairdressers, Mr Levy?
BIOYC!
"Just remember one thing my son - no-one is bigger than the club. The club will be here long after you go. Us supporters ain't mugs (well, not too many!). To end - if you don't want us and our club ain't big enough for you, then f*ck right off." Dannyboy

SO what is the conclusion about Appiah??
Reply to Joel:
and what about Dacourt ?
I notice the daily rags have very quietly dropped the 'racist' tag from the S*l C**pbell chants story.
im guessing he really isn't sure about him, cant see why
hes free, we desperately need a dm, hes been training for over a week and still not signed and still needs some behind close door matches
what about dacourt, burdisso, palacios...was harry really in italy yesterday?? are spurs really trying to sell jenas or use him as counterweight to get a loanee?? too much speculation lately, i wonder what's true and what's not...
Reply to david_m:
Theres a lot on the books who need behind closed door matches.Unfortunately they all seem to turn up for the games they charge me to watch.
Hope we sign both Appiah and De Guzman and offload jenas and zok. I'm ready to welcome both and say byebye to the two other ... Really hope we can get both of them ... but i see just one problem, who wants jenas and zok ?
Ramos, Jol ... Comolli ...
Harry any other news with supposed shipping out of our players? ie Dos Santos to PSG, or Mexican side? Jenas supposedly linked with every team in a swap deal? Bent supposedly on the out? so many player speculations and not enough time to mention...
Aussie Yid till i die...
Are we Leeds UTD in disguise Oliver Dacourt did he not bring them into the Championship .Past time for Levy to wield the axe bye bye Harry
Stay Tuned for the next episode of...
Reply to Aussie Yid Dan:
Said it before can't believe we will let Dos Santos leave without playing him???
As for Appiah, they should have a clear idea now either way, HH pls update as soon as you hear.
Reply to Nick_The_Greek:
I hope this is a joke.
Fans of both Spurs and Portsmouth have appealed to their clubs players to show a reasonable level of effort, commitment, determination and even passion in the forthcoming fixture between the two sides...
Reply to Joel:
Joke ,we are the joke .The only place Redknapp should be is in the visitors dugout .To think this Clown got the road from Upton Park and is now considered the way forward at the Lane ,we have sank this low as to think of Redknapp is the Messiah .A record of 1 cup success in 25 years does not get me going
Sky Sports News -
"Stephen Appiah and Quincy Owusu-Abeyie play in friendly in bid to earn Spurs deals"
Quincy Owusu-Abeyie?!
The similarity of our fortunes this season compared to last season is scary. Excellent pre-season, massive expectation that "this will be our season" swiftly followed by a poor start, a sacking, a brief spell of good form, a massive squad regeneration in the new year and an indifferent finish. I just hope our Carling Cup run ends in the same way
After all, we all knew deep down that getting into the Champions League wasn't going to happen - wish I could say the same about getting into the ChampionSHIP but I think it's gonna be a long four months ahead...
This relegation battle is far more exciting than successive seasons finishing fifth and ALMOST getting into the Champions League, don't you think?
Harry, fucking BRILLIANT site. I'm sick of seeing Adriano's name on NewsNow so I'm just gonna set this as my homepage and forget the rest
Lol, the letters I've got to enter to submit my comment are "QSERA" - we're going to Wembley!
Get Arshavin! After all we spent the most part of last summer trying to. He’s what we need too break through and get those other strikers scoring, especially linking up with Russian team mate Pavo. Dose any body else see this?
Reply to Carlosspurs:
I agree. I'd try dos santos on the left. I get the feeling that nobody in their right mind wants to buy Jenas, Bent or Bale, and even if we did we're gonna buy another pile of shite anyhow.
Still, we could be playing against Kaka and Robinho in the Championship next year.
Gotta laugh. Else I'd cry.
Reply to edwardgingell:
An awful lot of cobblers in there. Jenas isn't even fit. No bid placed for Palacious as yet and Dacourt is too depressing to mention.
I believe Arry was in Italy.
Probably buying shoes.
its a bit worrying that harry reportedly said he wanted his transfers done early yet here we are nearly 2 weeks in and only an unneeded striker has turned up. I hope/pray there is lots of frantic behind the scenes activity and we will imminently be dazzled by harry's transfer genius coupled with respect for levy's massive backing. Based on evidence so far, we appear unable to pay the going rate for a half decent left sided player (if Hunt is only £5 million, what are we waiting for???) or an OK central midfielder, as we would rather try to get an old or injured CM on the cheap. At this rate we will be signing the equivalent of razsiak on the 31st. Never mind, Jenas is due his annual good game some time soon, so we may as take advantage of it before we loan him out in a swap deal for Robbie Savage.
Reply to James:
What did you expect from Redknapp
Right now I'd take David Howells... That's how bad it's got.
Just thinking remember when we were linked with Eto'o last season
Agreed Dos Santos needs to be given a chance he cannot be worse than what we have...
Reply to Nick_The_Greek:
why do you think harry is the messiah....?
and...are you not going to stop until harry gets the sack...?
at least we can understand his press conferences....
Reply to HarryHotspur:
Correction.
Hopefully buying shoes.
Reply to HarryHotspur:
None available though at the right price.
Cant beleve this Quincy story, isnt he an ex goon and birmingham reject?
Reply to Astromesmo:
Corrective. Rain Man Manager
Reply to anto18:
And a damn fine pathologist... Sorry, couldn't resist it. I'll be serious now I promise.

well they are very nice....italian shoes...
was harry truly in milan...if so i wonder who is he is looking at...and is he doing some kind of business with mourinho or ancelotti....either way a good place to shop....for castoffs

Are we sure Harry wasn't having an interview as a replacement for The Special One ?
Reply to KOJAC:
I bow to your wisdom.
Reply to HarryHotspur:
No Harry he's trying to get the shoes on loan.
Were you both Quinn-Martin Productions?
so any news on wen the palacios bid will be made?god knows we need him!im sooooooooooooo fcukin fed up with rumors!an how about every yid gets off bentleys back i aint seen no else (bar o'hara)showing the passion he did that nite at the emirates
Look, Ill put it nice and subtly as not to upset people, but I can tell you,
THIS IS NOT THE F*CKING MANAGERS FAULT.
If me or you or Moses or Abraham were in charge, we'd basically pick the same bloody squad as Harry, bar one or two players, and we'd still get the same f*cking results.
IT IS THE PLAYERS FAULT.
I am convinced that the Adriano thing was just lazy journalism :
Arry + Milan + Adriano out of favour = He's off to Spurs !
Balderdash.
I would also like to take issue with all those who diss Wigan. They are a very decent side and I remember an interview some time ago where Steve Bruce said he likes finding players with something to prove.
Now THAT is a winning football philosophy.
Bruno Satin, Dacourt`s agent, said:
'Tottenham have enquired about Olivier and it would be a nice option. Newcastle have also taken information about him.'
Dacourt himself told L'Equipe:
'I have set a deadline regarding my future. I have plenty of contacts everywhere, in Italy, England, Spain, but I prefer to wait for the moment. My kids go to school in Milan; as a consequence I'm not going to just do whatever. I have plenty of options, too many in fact, and you have pros and cons at every club.'
Can't be us, pros?
Reply to Astromesmo:
the shop only had right foot shoes. so he bought a really flashy, flamboyant righty and is going to wear them on his left foot anyway.
Reply to spursfan333:
Who bought the players?
Who brought in the man who bought the players?
Is a chairman untouchable as long as the club makes money?

thats some of the problem though, the squad can show-up against the top teams, but seems not to care against the rest of the table
i expect spurs to beat portsmouth at the weekend quite easily...the thought of being dropped or transferred should be incentive enough for some players to play very well.
i hope the line up is..442
gomes
corluka,woodgate,king,BAE,
bentley,huddlestone,jenas,modric
pav,defoe
Reply to Blanchflower:
yep we could be playing in the championship against players making half a million a week...what a competition that would be...
still couldnt agree more with playing dos santos. we all know he wasnt playing good at the start of season, but hey the whole team wasnt playing good. he cant get any worse than what he was yeah (note not paying any attention to Bale in the this comment).
speaking of Bale does anyone know whether he is really trying to be offloaded. i saw something on setanta this morning (Canadian morning) that Bale is being offered in some swap deal to some extent?
I cant wait til the window closes...
All the stick harry's getting is ridiculous too. We should admire the bollocking he gave the team, he says exactly what we all say on here almost verbatim.
Anyway, Appiah and an audacious bid for Cole/Arshavin please- ridiculous both. failing that, try Dos Cervezas... he looked mighty pissed off sat with the bench on sunday. He must be raring to go...
I'd rather have Lloyd Owusu than that gooner reject, he used to bang em in for... brentford

And where the fuck is Azza Blud ?
Harold, you give my funny bone a thorough work out.
Big up yourself.
To be honest, i do have faith in Harry! Not a big big fan but hes our manager at this very moment so we must. Keep Jenas and Zokora, bring in Appiah, forget a left winger, O Hara can play there as he supports the midfield by cutting in and defending, allowing Modric to get more forward and more of the ball. Either that or bring in a versatile player who can play left wing or striker. We need a left back even though i do feel Ekotto has been doing pretty well this season.
I do think Harry is making these signings for the commision as he did with Portsmouth but we must have faith!!! BRING IN A NEW CENTER HALF AS I THINK DAWSON IS PANTS! Or maybe a right back so corluka can go there!
Reply to markxl1:
As above but with Modders for Jenas & JOH on the left
Shahaan: Dawson has been the mutts for us in recent weeks... a surprise perhaps, but a welcome one. Think tackle from the side on berbatov at the lane. Awesome.

I`ll give you that we can understand the press conferences ,why he is there is the bit I will never get .
Gio scored in the friendly match!! Bring in DOS SANTOS !!!PLEASE !!!!!!! He is a class act!
Reply to carlosspurs:
appiah, ghaly, gunter, also played.
appiah ran the midfield until being overcome with cramp after around 80 mins & was subbed... he had a big grin on his face as he had no ill affects & this was his first game for well over a year,
where'd you see that Carlospurs?
Reply to anto18:
where is this info coming from?

Because at the time of his employment we needed Harry Red'Adair'knapp to pull us away from near certain relegation.
I'm not entirely in disagreement with you, but all we can do now is give Twitchy a chance and hope.

They're playing the mighty Grays Athletic.
Comolli has destroyed us with his buys... were worse now than when Santini took over!...

Dave Whelan is on 5 Live saying that they've received a very good offer from Spurs for Palacios. £10m
Reply to HarryHotspur:
Nice theme, HH. Cobblers and shoes.
The truth is he WAS buying shoes. Two left ones for Zokora's feet.
Reply to carlosspurs:
I would rather see Gio given a chance than £15 million spunked away on Downing
I see Kaka wants to grow old in Milan. I bet if he gave up his millions, slept on the streets and eschewed health care he'd grow old very quickly.
Whatever makes you happy.
Adriano is an anagram for Dona Air. Did we really bid for a bimbo?

Hot off the press spurs have haD A BID FOR PALACIOS REJECTED
Reply to vincenzo_spur:
There was fuck all wrong with Howells at least he tried when played
you'rew probably right nick, hazy memory thats all... i must have been about ten. Vaguely remember a goal against leeds away, coming back out off the stanchion (or did it stick). ha, who knows...
Adriano - bollox
Palacios - flavour on the month overpriced
Sorry to say it but what we need at the moment is someone like Phil Neville or Didi Hamman, not spurs types but experianced, cheap and would do a job to get us out of the mess we are in.
Watched time of our lives on Sky with Hod, Os and Steve P, that side had all the flair in th world but also had robbo and Paul Miller that is what is missing, those players allow players like Modric to play.
Reply to Nicolabertonlyjustthirty:
appreciate your viewpoint and he certainly is flavour of the month but watch him tonight on myp2p or something...
all season hes been exceptional

If Arry is so good with the weelin an deelin he should be unearthing the next Palacios for next to nothing.
Michael Dawson pah! Jaysus, jusy cos the fellah has had two good games, doesn't mean he's good does it ...... oh it does
.....and come on the shrimpers
Did we get an answer on the match report source?
Harry, have you heard anything about any bid for Christian Obodo?
Reply to onedavemackay:
Short of Levy selling on, or handing the football side of the job to someone else again, I have no alternative. Which is what prompted my question.
For most businesses, making money is their main means of showing success. Football is different. It's possible, in fact the Spuds have made an impressive habit of it, to consistently fail(relatively) on the pitch and turn a good profit off it. I wonder how much pressure Levy is under if any. Does he answer to anyone? Maybe there is no alternative. Or maybe he could try handing the football stuff to a man of experience.
What I don't understand mainly is why anyone wouldn't put him at the top of the blame list.
His handling of the Jol departure was nothing short of disgraceful and he chose to back a pathetic dud but seems not to come under much pressure.
I just don't get it. Hence the question.
Reply to Sid Trotter:
A year or two back he had a couple of good seasons
Reply to onedavemackay:
Scatter cushions were the deal breaker.
I heard from a very good source Timothy Spall was out bid on some curtains from Ken Palacious by Val Singelton.
If I can ask OleOle memebers to keep this on the QT - I don't want that ending up on 'other' Spurs boards.
Aye Thang Yew.
Reply to Chuck Munnyadit:
Absolutely agree re the Jol departure and 5 managers in 5 years hardly seems like a sensible way to run a football club but I am wary of what we might get in his place.
I think his financial acumen has to be acknowledged and maybe picking a manager is a bit of a lottery anyway. After all Hoddle, Santini and Ramos had all been reasonably successful elsewhere and at the time they all looked a decent bet.
Whereas, Wenger was in Japan and almost off the radar when Glenda recommended him to the Goons.

Didn't know.
Just saw that Bostock got 2 in the under 18 match. Why doesn't he get a run out. I just don't understand why we don't seem to develope and subsequently play our young guys.
Reply to YizzleFoShizzle:
well we want them to remain good for aslong as possible....you know what happens when they play for the 1st 11.....
Do you know what I'll be glad when this season is over (come what may). And they said it'll all be over by Christmas. I tell you what I'm bloody flagging, I can't take any more..............
I think we could do with either of the Wigan midfielders really. I've been impressed with Cattermole this season. Both signed recently by Wigan for 3.5 mill. and 1 mill.
The saddest thing about the way our club is, is that if we had made those signings you feel sure they wouldn't have developed so well.
COYS
Reply to btm:
The conundrum is, if we signed someone for 1 mil we would think he was sh*t and never give him a chance. Buy someone for 15mil expect the earth and as soon as he doesn't deliver get on his back and undermine his confidence.
It's a hard knock life!

Reply to YizzleFoShizzle:
Agree with that. Bring out the Bostock. We desperately need a left footed attacking midfelder and he fits the bill.
I also can't understand why Charlie Daniels was let go. What a waste.
Reply to onedavemackay:
you mean aaron lennon? well i feel his final ball is disgusting for a professional footballer....i did think he could possibly have become a striking option ('til defoe returned ) but he lacks a finish too - don't get me wrong, when you see him play in the flesh he does stand out and you get to appreciate what he's all about, but he frustrates giving the ball away all the time...Time for bentley to supply the quality ( as long as he works hard off the ball ). Azza can always come on at half time if bentleys' not at it with more space to exploit...
I agree that Dawson has been strong but who would you choose out of him and king??
ohara - supersub
do you agree that zokora, bale and bent ain't worth their shirt at the moment.

42.42: GOAL - SPURS. Absolute stunner from Bostock who picked up the ball in a central position fully 40 yards out, looked up and smashed a thunderbolt into the top right corner. As sweet a strike as you'll see.
Charlton 0, Spurs 1
59.39: GOAL - SPURS. Bostock in space again, central, 30 yards out, Obika's run took the central defenders away and Bostock used the extra space to move forward a few yards before firing low from just left of centre back across Christie into the bottom right corner.
Charlton 0, Spurs 2

17 Games to play and we will need to get at least around 20 points to be safe.
That includes away games to Utd, Everton, Villa + Liverpool. Home games against Arsenal and Chelsea. 7 games I wouldnt bet on us getting much from.
So thats now likely to be 20 points from 11 games needed. at least 6 wins and a couple of draws from 11 games. no room for slipups on the winnable games at home. at all. not one.
We end the season with Utd/WBA/Everton/City/Liverpool. No other team we are battling with has such a tough end of season
cheering isnt it.
the long and short of it is, put your money on us going down if we dont win our next 3 games.

Has anyone seen Corluka play DM? I know he's supposed to feel that's his best position but does he know what he's talking about? I'd be willing to try anything at this point. He looks like he could be a Carrick type DM. Breaking up play with his positioning rather than tough tackling.

I signed up for COYS once where he posts and after all of his 'ITK' info came to nothing (shocker) I posted saying exactly what I thought of him and all of his minnions. Next thing you know I'd been handed a lifetime ban from COYS!!

Werent you excited when you were told we had signed Bentley? I doubt you said to yourself ''OH SHIT'', you probably greeted it with optimism, like the vast majority of us.
I know I did.
And now I fucking hate Bentley. But do I blame the manager? NO! Because its Bentleys fault hes not playing well, not Harry Redknapps, not Juande Ramos', its purely David Bentleys fault.
Fire @ Will....
and sorry if I'm in a bit of a mood, I've owned a season ticket at Southend for the past 4 years, and supported them since I understood football, as well as Spurs of course

Now Im not one for being bitter, but isn't Michael Ballack a dirty Nazi?
and bugger me senseless, I've just read we've bid £10million for WILSON PALACIOS. What dont people understand about these types of players?
Wilson Palacios is a good player, not an exceptional player, but hes playing with very average teammates, so hes made to look better than he really is.
I call it DAVID BENTLEY Syndrome.

And news just in - we've bid £14 million for Palacios and are going to give him a pay rise.
I just dont see the point in it if we are going to take on Appiah - isn't it more or less exactly the same kind of player?
Whelan has told Spurs how much he wants for Palacios and is now waiting to see if the North London club return with an improved offer.
"That's their option," he continued, "they can either come back or forget it.
"£10million for that lad is not enough money.
"We've told them basically what we're looking for and we sit and wait and see what they do.
"It would be unfair to say what we're talking to Tottenham Hotspur about, it's private business, but we're asking for more than that obviously."
----------------------------------
So private, they've decided to leak it to all the worldwide media.
Nice.
And isn't it also a hugeeeee contradiction lol?

As for football - every day I put SSN on and log onto every bloody website I know on footy and still we're looking at average players to add to a shit team. Still, I suppose average is a step up from shit.
As for Bale - has his head already been turned by another club as a future prospect? Has he stopped caring less about Spurs do you think?

Failing that, mix Night Nurse with scotch - you'll be out like a light!
I, however, have no excuse for still being awake and on here... so, fare thee all well... I bid you goodnight.
Why the fuck are we still booing Campbell and chanting homophobic shit at the games? Get over it you fucking muppets. That was an age ago.....it's over, it's done. We have bigger problems than that to deal with.
And another thing, calling someone homophobic implies that they have a phobia and hence that they are mentally ill. I'm resemble that remark. I don't have a phobia....i just don't like shirt-lifters....but i could possibly be mentally ill.
Harry is class. What he has probably never experienced is the lack of support for ones own team! 40,000 supporters on your back will make any man lose their self belief (Bentley, Bale) Harry makes gems out of rough diamonds (Diarra, Johnson, James, even Mendes was a superstar!), Joe Cole, Ferdinand, Redknapp, Defoe, Carrick, the guy knows footballers, and of he wants to look at Appiah abd Dos Santos a little longer, so be it, if he wants to give them a bollocking so be it, he has stood by the players with heart (Gomes), we must trust in him to put us right, many a team gets a lift when a new manager comes along, now he sees his monumental task, a footballer with a good engine does not make a match winner if he cannot score a goal (Jenas, Zokora) Get some steel (Appiah, Palacios,) and lets stop f...ing about. We all know what spurs have lacked for so many years (Keane, gerrard, Lampard, Viera??) yet what manager has ever done it right? Harry knows best, and will turn us around given the funds and half a chance, just like Jol could have done if he hadn't been sabotaged. Stop the hatred and start supporting your team, even if they are a shower of fucking shite. Tell a man he's a dog enough times and he'll start to wag his tail,
Reply to onedavemackay:
yeah...king in place of jenas maybe. i think we agree on most things. i think bentley will come good - i f****** hope so.
Also, spurs would have got a point if heskey hadn't injured dawson and we wouldn't see half the posts on this site.
I'm convinced that we will get more than 20 points from the rest of our games and a trophy will satisfy........oh ( immature time ), and beating manu in the cups with ledley snapping berbs, ekotto twatting rooney, ronaldo being sent off for diving and arry and joe kicking the shit out of red nosed jock twat for trying to influence the officials.

I've got the eebie jeebies about this Palacios fella, i've not really seem that much of him but what little i have suggests to me that we're going to end up with a £10mill Michael Brown - without the goals.
Reply to Grazza:
Far too much money, but he's a good player.
A DM who gets stuck in, but who (unlike Zokora) can also link the midfield and forwards with his passing and forward play.
He'll fit straight in too.
Doesn't score many at all, but didn't we pay over £45m on players to do that?

His 10 years at spurs ripped the heart and soul out of the club. That kind of thing takes time to put back.
At least levy has his heart in the right place - if he just leaves it to the manager to manage from now on, we could get back to where we once were.

Reply to KOJAC:
A very valid and good point.
For all our sake, I very much hope this is the case.
Good find with the Bellamy link, I think it was these lot that yesterday said we had made a £14 million bid for Palacios too.
Im a bit mixed on Bellamy really, brilliant footballer, but as horrible person as you're likely to meet. Also, at 29, 12 million is a hefty price.
Besides, I'm still of the view that we can get as many strikers as we want, but it will make no difference.
The problem is that of supplying them, not them getting chances and missing them, is it not?
Its very frustrating. This money could be better spent on a left winger or a playmaker.
So far tonight weve been linked with done deals for palacios, kenwyn jones and bellamy! This transfer window is pissing me off, can we not just buy a home win for starters?
And what is the story on appiah? Signing or not?
Im very tired, goooooodnight everyone, have a good one tommorow
Just read somewhere that Mr'moneybags'Levy is in russia finalising the Smoothbum deal, apparenty we agread the deal back in sept with an agreement that hes ours so long as no-one bettered our 20m offer. hope this is true as it would really feck off the scum at the end of the W7 route.
Reply to YidArmy:
Alan Sugar saved us from Bankruptcy without him there might not have been anymore spurs.Levys heart might be in the right place pity his brain is not. On the Sol Cambell issue he could be purple or green or pink but we all hate him for his actions not his colour or his sexual preferences

and if we got everyone who had a good game against us that be one hefty wage bill..
Reply to Bimmi:
that's true....
so we can put you down as a no for bellamy and palacios then....what about downing too for £13m......would that cheer you up
personally they are expensive but useful...ship out jenas and bent...to ease the wallet...
Reply to KOJAC:
Lets hope so - players leaving that is.
I don't think Bellamy would be that bad a player for us....... as long as he only cost a couple of million which obviously isn't going to be the case, nasty little bugger that he is.
I'm not gonna say Palacios is the dream signing that we are all craving, but his type of player is definitely what we are after. I just hope that he remains hungry to play well and give it his all rather than 'adjust' to the level of the spurs squad..... read - give up!
Reply to KOJAC:
definitely a no for Bellamy anyway..
Don't know about Palacios but at £14m.. no way..
Downing?? f*ck off let him rot up there in Middlesbrough..
Reply to Pagey:
it's all speculation anyway...but when they the papers talk about agreeing a fee it's usually on the way.....but down to wages...
i don't know if bellamy would come.....maybe
palacios would come and wigan would sell..it's good business....
with appiah and a lefty i think that would be good stuff from harry...
ship a few out to balance a few quid......?
jenas should become a fullback i think...he ain't good enough in the middle but would make a good right sided player...but maybe he wants to be billy big bollocks...who wouldn't....coys
Reply to YidArmy:
He didn't rip the soul out of the club he saved us from going bust, established the sound financial footing that enabled us to become one of the wealthiest clubs in the world and stopped Venables from walking off with our assets. As it was TV borrowed the floor of the Chanticlere room and used in his club Scribes West. Most clubs he's been to have suffered financially, think Palace, Portsmouth etc.
Of course he never quite picked right Manage but at the time Ossie and Gerry Francis both seemed a good idea and he gave all his managers money to spend.
Alan Sugar, a lifelong Tottenham fan, has been much maligned by far too many blinkered fans.
He never quite picked the right Manager either
