Pavlyuchenko Photo On Official Site - Then Not...

Saturday, 30 August 08, 10:42 AM · Comments (156)

Here's a strange one.

The pic above is from the official site. Well it was on there. Until they took it down. Hmmmmn.

Emailed in by geezer and reader Bethnal Barry (look I have no control over what these lunatic's ask to be called), all I can say is the rail looks familiar and and that's the player's shirt not the replica he's sporting. Also the hyperlink to it is/was....

What the fuck... this is getting like the Robinho debacle lol!

That was funnier mind, a mate of mine at work nearly bought one the other day.

What's the coup then? erasing a mistake as its not signed sealed? or a late change of heart after he saw the shops on display in Bruce Grove High Street....?

We must have the 3 or 4 signings were gonna make all SORTED, if we've got time to sign ZOKORA on an EXTENDED contract?!

Not sure why we've done that, unless we want to guarentee a bigger selling fee from Jol before Monday night.
Or unless JR sees a way of getting him to DEFEND better.
He's not a bad squad player to be honest, Bit like Jenas, But NOT good enough to start!

Im praying we sign Veloso, and King stays fit, so we can put Jenas out of his misery and let him have a LONG sit down on the bench.

If we can get Veloso, Ashavin, Corluka and maybe even Huntelaar, I'd be well happy, and let Bent go prove himself somewhere else.
With Pav obviously, would be a nice squad to work with.

I, as i hope maany of you will be praying everything goes well before midnight on Monday.

AND PLEASE GUYS dont panic if we get beat badly by Chelski.
WE KNOW jenas aint the DM we need, and Hutton aint fit yet, and King and match fit yet.
And Bent wont be playin many games for us, and Modric and J2S will take a while to get up to pace, as most foreigners do.

So dont panic, as long as we dont go there and put 10 men behind the ball, Im happy whatever the score, seriously!
It will take us a while to be the Top4 team.

Remember it took Man.U 4 games before they won last season and we know what they did, so we got atleast 10 games before we need to panic.

COYS

That is an excellent site. Let me say that. Top notch journo. My only concern is that these bloody agents don't stop lying and grafting. They just refuse to. So occasionally old the old G Man gets sold a lemon. A beautiful, organic, imported from somewhere dead nice one, but extremely lemony all the same.

He gets better lemons than me, in fact.

But... my view is and has always been - buy'em all.

We're going to war. Not a picnic.

I think it's rediculous that Ramos has given Jenas the role of vice-captain, because it means that its unlikely he will leave him out of the squad which we really need to in order to have a squad that will play the whole game, rather than turning up when they want... just as Jenas does every game... Start the Hudd instead!!! or even anyone else who will try to play football!

incase you haven't noticed, i'm not a big fan of Jenas... I have my rhymes for him...

To the tune of *Jermain Defoe, is a Yido*

Hello Big Man.

Great you came back to snipe to my face. So, anything worth reading yet or just the usual?

You like another poster with whom you shared a computer the other day appear unable to bare the thought I get sent information that coincides with that of others.

Dicky Yid, I take it you don't go to any of our matches due to your intensely immature and completely inaccurate assessment of Jenas. We are a much better team when he is on the pitch and this was clearly shown by the times he was injured last season. He is the only spurs player who consistently scores against the top 4 and his energy levels are the best in the team. I agree that he isn't the most creative player, yet he gets his fair share of assists and we have bought in other players to give the team those attributes.

To even suggest that Huddlestone should start ahead of Jenas shows your complete lack of intelligence concerning spurs. He has been abysmal in the majority of games he has played for us.

it just makes me laugh that they spend so much energy disrespecting any info you put (agree with the damned analogy) out. The daft thing is there is no way he can know what sources you have and if there's any truth in it, as such how can you mock it as you cannot know (they don't seem to get this!) and they don't realise that these things can be all but done and fall through at the last minute. Does that mean the info is wrong? As i've put before I'd like to know who we're trying to sign as well as who we actually sign as you can see if the club are trying to fill certain voids in the squad.

My understanding is YES.

Can anyone shed any light beyond this. please?

i know that to play 3pm Sat you need the relevant forms in with the FA by noon on Fri soso i assume it needs to be in 27hours before kick off. So what with us kicking off at 1:30pm tomorrow he would have needed to have signed by 10:30 this morning, which is plausable as the offical site announced it at 4pm so they had six hours to get him a kit and a photographer before telling us all.

Good eve gents - although I'm endlessly entertained by the delightful back-and-forth from the likes of Ginge1 & Ossie's wet dream I am nevertheless bewildered why anyone would come to a blog site to tell others how poor they think it is. This would be akin to watching Pop Choir with Ginge1's missus and yelling at the telly when it would appear so much more sensible to simply change the channel. :?

I think you have just committed a libel in suggesting that Harold and I am the same person. It's true that we have never been seen together and it's also true that we never post at the same time. It's also true that we both take Stelazine and are Schizophrenic.

But you'll find that though Harry can be aggressive on this blog he is a generous and gentle soul whilst very occasionally and then only when I've been inebriated I have been known to punch people's lights out or slightly try to kill them.

I do like Jenas, in a way! He has a great engine and excellent pace in the centre of the park (one reason why England are so poor!). When he bursts forward there are few CM in the world that can stay with him. This was shown in the 5-1 drubbing where he was excellent. However he follows displays like this with insipid diplays and this lack of consistency is what grates with a lot of the fans. I think the other issue is that he neither posses real bite or an excellent passer and as such it makes it tough to have a balanced pair with him in the side. Ideally if he was a bit more composed in front of goal and a bit more consistant we could end up with a perfect midfield 3 if we play one up front. Modric for the guile, Jenas for the pace / forward runs and goals and A.N.Other as the nasty hard man to break up the play (Veloso?).
Just on the Veloso front, any news? This is a definate need. I think we should have made a play for Gattuso for this role (as i've said before! Milan are a bit shit at the mo, not in the CL, he'd give us some veteran leadership (I sound like a septic!), kick anything that moves and his Mrs is a Scot so may be interested in coming back to the British isles. The only think is he'd have no residual value which goes against our policy (but we've lacked a been there, done it type since Davids!)

It is a mad thing to say, but hand on heart I really do want Pavlyuchencko to end up as cover for Bent, and Veloso cover for Zokora. What that would mean is that Ramos is the coaching wizard that we hoped he is when he replaced BMJ.

Perhaps we can move Jenas upfield playing off the Bent shoulder? He was more effective further up the pitch. Other than that I can't think of any other option unless we're grabbing another from the reserves/academy that we haven't yet loaned out?

nah, never over a chelscum.

as for starting line up i have to agree, i really dont know if Ledders is fit to play two games (or is it 3 now?) in a row, therefore Dawson (pls kin god no), sure woody will start and JJ has to. Bent has to also as we aint got any strikers who want to play for the team (why didnt we loan peckhart out to Soton next week, he didnt even make their bench today ffs). So i guess with DZ gettin his extension (alas not on his house) the team will be

Gomez
DZ Dawson Woodgate BAE
Bentley Modric JJ Thudd Dos Santos
Bent

My team would be

Gomez
Gunter King Woodgate Bale
Bentley (Right) Modric Thudd Dos Santos
Berbasulk Bent

Dont slate me for selecting berbs, we aint go no fuckin choice

2-1 to us tomorrow, Deco for him, but then a John Terry own goal and a penalty taken by a suprised-to-even-be-on-pitch Chris Gunter

Play Berbasulk, motivate him by telling him he can help Manure by shooting Chelski down and watch him get a hat trick! Lazy bastard. Or telling him there's 200 B&H for every goal or assist. =D

evening all, long time voyeur, love the banter, thought it sbout time i put my 2 penneth in. we must stay positive, all our closest rivals(everton, villa, pompey) are struggling, liverpool look weak and the scum ARE weak.a couple more sensible signings(DM,CB)are needed but then i feel we can really kick on .gotta have hope.on the negative i get the feeling Wendy aint happy, he cant be impressed with the way the sulkatov deals being sorted.

Agree with ya i would play berba as well coz lets face it we cant play much worse than we have in the other 2 and even if he dosent even try much he will still be better than most and you never know he might say good bye by playing well and nicking the winner! ( I can dream ) But im going for 2-2 with chelski nicking a last min equlaiser as usual

We're such a fucking easy target at the moment. We've a history of glory, ambitions for more, spending power galore and yet the near misses and rare moments of genius, rather than bolstering our confidence, only serves to increase the expectations and demands.

Whether its to get their 5 minutes of fame, or to sell a newspaper, or simply for taking the piss, a lot has been written in recent times criticising Spurs. Louise's bloke on Sky Sports the other day, Hoddle in the m*rror today.

Successful characters thrive on pressure, or at least know how to use it to their advantage. "I've spent many years as a professional player and manager. I know what it's like to win and I know what it's like to lose. I also know that the season is very long and that the time to sum things up and evaluate the season is at the end of it. Whether you are winning or losing at a particular time in the season doesn't necessarily mean that you're doing something right or wrong." says Ramos in the Independant.

The reality is that 'reality' itself is transitory. A falsehood told today could be the truth tomorrow. If I said today that we're going to win and have a blinder - you'll probably say thats bollocks. If we get the result, you'll say "I always thought we had a chance" and all those skysports, redtop, blog wankers will change their tune.

I'm not changing mine its forever "Glory glory Tottenham Hotspur"

Daniel, lets get the signings we need in today please. Tomorrow never comes and is all the more frustrated for it,

If Fraser Campbell is included in the berba deal, and we don't get any other experienced talent in today, I'm not going to be happy despite what I've said above. Although he's got loads of potential, he will just be another unknown for Ramos to solve. Theres no point in putting together a jigsaw puzzle if the pieces don't fit. The idea of this transfer window is to get the players that Ramos wants and has identified he needs. This includes an Arshavin, a Corluka, a Veloso. A plan is not a plan if you have to change it every 5 minutes - then its knee jerk and simply a bit of scribble on the back of a fag packet.

If we get fraser campbell and we get what we need - then I would be happy. we'll have squeezed manure for a bit of their future, and we've got another that we can work with to make sure they're properly part of ours.

Can we petition B&H to sponsor Berba post xfer? Would love to see him coughing his lungs out all over the red manure shirt.

Whether its to get...

Reading this I thought at first Trembly was a profesional player & manager! Thick cunt I am!
Bit worried about the Milito / Garcia rumours. For me Milito might be ok as a big slow target man type, however Pav is a big target type as is bent although they've both got a bit of pace. Much rather we brought in a little fella to play next to Pav or Bent with AA the ideal (or Villa but that's not happening)

Says about Campbell on BBC transfer rumours. It also says Diarra could be on his way to us and that Owen (I think that would be a good signing, I know we'd have the most injury prone squad in history!) might come. At ÂŁ2m (due to his contract expiring I think its worth a gamble, especially if we give him a pay as you play deal!

ginge- like most fans I would have loved to have turned out proper for spurs - I had pace, an eye for goal and could plant a 50 yard pass with a 2 inch margin of error. Unfortunately my pace was snails, my other eye is made of glass and the the only successful 50 yard passes I made was with drunk ladies in a dark nightclub. :\

I thought you were like me for a mo! I can hit a 50 yard pass to land on a sixpence but also have snails pace! Oh and am known to lose my temper and nut people resultingin 8 month bans and stuff! ALthough pleased to say not got sent off in two seasons (too old to even catch em now!) Come to think of it, I'm a bit like a smaller, angrier Thud!........ Wendy I'll get me boots! ;)

Form an orderly queue. If we've lost this player because of money then that's a joke. EVERYBODY in the entire world knew they wanted 25 mill euros. If we weren't prepared to go close we shouldn't have bothered.

Why is Levy getting involved with transfers? That's why we pay the big bucks for someone to be director of football, right? So what the fuck does Comolli actually do? I think the power has gone to Levy's shiny bald head, the interfering swine.

i dont think many opportunities come round for a club outside of champs league to sign a player of Arshavins quality.

and he was willing to come.

Modric and Dos Santos and potential. no more really.

We wont get the opportunity again. mark my words.

Veloso also. I hear it was a matter of paying what they wanted.

The really frustrating thing is Berba and Keane money combined would probably have mostly covered Arshavin, Pav and Veloso.

so we are baulking at spending money we have.

i am very very fucked off.

if we sign these two herberts from Zaragoza or Heskey or Owen.......grrrrr

Make Levy History.
