It was an incredible night in so many ways. I can't recall getting so many texts from pals of mine who were either Man Utd, 'Pool or even Ar5ena1 fans commenting on what an incredible game they were watching.
Anyway, we can't harp on about it forever, but here's a piece of footage that was trouble to get hold of so I went looking for it as I thought it would be a nice round to the week.
Bin Dippers ? Sure another mountain to climb, but as we showed on Wednesday night, if we shake off the hurt and play with our hearts we can roll with the best of them.
Our support has been nothing shy of sensational in these past grim weeks. Long may it continue.
Go on the Redknapp and come on you Spurs - we salute you.

Have a look at this one for balls and sheer bloody Benitez crap - comparing Crouch's move and subsequent return to Anfield with PSB's return to the Lane.
Has PSB asked the Boss to put in a good word?
Let's give him the reception he deserves - for that little conversation and self satisfied little smirk/grin/banter with Berbatov in the Scouse/Manc game. Make his return hell!!!!
You know he's a sensitive git - let's give it to him. We owe him nothing!
Benitez has a strategy of a terrorist - destabalise the opposition. He's having a go at everyone who poses a threat. Let's do 'em!!!

Harry - you say "Our support has been nothing shy of sensational in these past grim weeks. Long may it continue"
If "our support" means you - then I agree, you have stood up and been counted.
If you are referring to Spurs fans as a whole, then the sight of Bentley's torso has made you take a funny turn.
As a group, Spurs fans were close to imploding, and if Ramos had remained in charge against Bolton and we had lost, then the abuse that would have been vented would have made the Campbell chants sound like a Christmas song by the Tweenies. Remember, a protest at the Bolton game was closely averted and (without wishing to sound like a broken record) the Campbell chants saw a large amount of our fans reach a new low.
The appointment of Henry James has given us renewed enthusiasm but there was nothing sensational happening on the terraces during the previous few weeks.

Excelleny stuff [as ever] and not just for your kindness to me. I think we have 'some' awful supporters but the bulk are the cream and they had to fight their way to the top of late.
Agree on your fab Christmas song by the Tweenies analogy 100% there was a sniff of civil disorder in the air.

According to Levy, Ramos lost the dressing-room. Personally, I find that hard to believe.
It's a very large space with benches, lockers and fixtures for hanging up items of clothing. I'm sure there are signs up in the corridors.
Even with mediocre English, how anyone can lose an entire dressing-room is beyond me.
I am getting very worried about Balers ears. It seems the longer his hair grows the bigger his ears grow and I've noticed that in a strong wind his balance is affected and he loses a bit of pace .

Otoplasty is the way forward. Corrective surgery on the ears. Not to be mistaken for corrective surgery on the octopus, Gomes, who currently seems to be on the high phase of bi-polar disorder.
I'm optimistic that Gomes will be the first keeper to score a goal by actually throwing the ball from his own area into the opposition net.

Law 10 - The Method of Scoring
Q. I watched an adult game the other day and the goalkeeper threw the ball very hard from his penalty area. There was a lot of wind and the wind took the ball and pushed it into the other team's goal. Is that a legal goal?
A. Yes, it is. As long as the goalkeeper has played the ball legally, he or she may score a goal.

All Gomes needs is a strong wind and maybe Robbo or Almunia in the opposing goal.

Bingo.
"Keane is available," he (Benitez) said. "It is my decision in the end whether he plays, but he is another one who wants to play in every game and I'm sure he'd like to see their fans and say hello again.
"He was a key player for them for years. He is a fantastic professional and he always gave 100 per cent for them. He is now doing that for us but I'm sure their fans will appreciate him."
If only Juande had attained such a command of irony ("...I'm sure their fans will appreciate him.") he might still be with us. At least, I think that's irony.

Re Robbie's return, I'd vote for the polite applause option. He has always shown respect towards his former clubs and I think we should be big hearted enough to respect his decision to move on (+ unlike Campbell we were more than adequately compensated for losing him).

As happy as I was with Ramos' appointment I was relieved to see him go. So many things were wrong - principally, that we kept losing football matches.
I was surprised when Redknapp took over but, again, relieved. After all, his man-management and motivational skills are liberally extolled. We have a talented squad, but they've been ill-managed and ill-motivated. With Redknapp, that's already changing.
The English stereotype is a passionless, phlegmatic individual, but English footballers certainly run contrary to that received wisdom. This reason by itself must have proved an stumbling-block to Ramos' methods. In hindsight, his approach was surely too cerebral for our players, and doomed to fail. That emotional distance was stretched further by the chains of command: First Team Coach, Poyet, Director of Football, all of which must have attenuated to breaking-point the squad's integrity and led to misunderstandings and demoralisation.
Redknapp appears to have been on Levy's shopping-list for some time. So now we have a manager who will brook no nonsense, who commands respect, and who represents a genuine authority, and perhaps even a father-figure to some. He's a man who mobilises the natural passion and aggression of footballers - which Ramos seemed to extinguish - and turns it into an energy for winning.
To conclude, I wish to finish with the story of a priest, who checks in at a hotel and says to the receptionist, "Regarding the TV in my room - I wonder if you can confirm that the porn channel is disabled?"
"Eyurgh! You dirty fcukin pervert!" says the receptionist.

What I like about Bentley's arrogance is that unlike say terry 'enry's or frank lumpard's, there's no edge of pomposity or loftiness, he has no airs. Such a relief to see some spirit at the club.
Word of the week yet again must go to 9.37 for the audacious; attenuated.
Bring on the puddlians.
Yes, but a very modest effort, and definitely not on fly-fishing.
Wish I could author a fairy-tale season for Spurs, but that's up to 'arry and the boys. I wish them all lead in their pencils.

Right. Beer. Yes. Look, Bentley's comment about sorting stuff out and of course, his dropping for the Udinese, makes me wonder if he wasn't being a fly in the ointment with Ramos. Of course he was-because he's a YID. HOORAY! Also, I reckon we're going to ascend up the table now like a helium balloon.

I think he's imitating the rare boxing minge.
You're a sick man DV
. I remember seeing them on a wildlife show some months back. Thought Gomes was changing so often during a game. He's boxer one minute, crying like Gazza the next, a flapper then a great shot stopper, throws better than delap but kicks like a ladyboy. Put 2 and 2 together and came up with 634 5789.

I have suggested JJ should play up front before now. He worked hard on Wednesday but as a defensive midfielder he can't quite shut up shop the way Carrick or Diarra can. However, when he goes forward all sorts of things happen.
They pushed him up front towards the end of one of our earlier games (I think it was Sunderland) and he looked dangerous.
My guess is that when Modric doesn't play 'Arry will play JJ there instead.

Reply to HarryHotspur:Reply to frontwheel:Reply to Northern Spur:Re Robbie's return, I'd vote for the polite applause option. He has always shown respect towards his former clubs and I think we should be big hearted enough to respect his decision to move on (+ unlike Campbell we were more than adequately compensated for losing him).
By the way,...Loads of B&Bs at Manor House, along Seven Sisters Road. A good friend runs one. Log in & message me for more details (but be quick 'cos I'm wanting my bed), or go to the Finsbury and ask the bar staff, hopefully they'll point you in in the direction of my friend.
Which to my mind, is a very tip top answer....
I agree. Many thanks frontwheel, I'll be sure to follow it up. Sleep tight.
See you for a pint?

What I like about Bentley's arrogance is that unlike say terry 'enry's or frank lumpard's, there's no edge of pomposity or loftiness, he has no airs. Such a relief to see some spirit at the club.
Word of the week yet again must go to 9.37 for the audacious; attenuated.![]()
...
Bentley's a cocky so-and-so, but his arrogance is a real shot in the arm to the team. Things had become so flat under Ramos, but there's a new spirit and effervescence about the club now.
As you say, it's a relief to see it. And the early-season adversity the squad have experienced can be used as a cohesive agent, bringing them together. Although we still lack some steel, 'arry will use his fire and metallurgical skills to forge an alloy of his players capable of cutting through other teams.
Let's see Spurs put the bin-dippers to the sword.

Modric and Bent to score today

Modric is getting closer and closer. Today would be very nice, thanks, Luka.
Also, Keane to emotionally break down during the game and exclaim, "It's no use! I can't live this lie any more! I want to come back!" only to be met with derisory laughter. Can't find any bookies giving odds on that one, though.
Fantastic attitude,Fantastic Commitment....To wear the shirt with pride and to fight to the very last second against our hated rivals....You just can't buy that.
Today,we have Robbie back...I loved Robbie, but I really hope he tries alittle to hard and has a stinker....Or better still tweaks a muscle in the warm up....We will welcome him back at the Lane, he was a great player for us. I would be happy with a draw here today,TRhat's proberbly where the popular money is. Don't get me wrong a win would be fantastic...But with Liverpool flying, anything but a defeat would keep me happy as long as we are moving in the right direction and away from the foot of the table. We just need to keep the momentum going,Keep the confidence high and show the quality that we know we have here.Harry Redknapp is the shot in the arm that the Boys really needed,he's English with undoubted communication skills and a sackful of Savvy, equally he is a renowned trader who knows who's who and what's what in this industry. A true master of the Game. The Match against the Woolwich Wanderers has already cemented his name into the very foundations of White Hart Lane...We all love him...But we have to be cautious..Harry will need to go out into the market and bring in much needed support in areas where we are failing....So our elevation will not happen overnight...But I think we all know that anyway....So it's "All ABOARD" a bumpy but upwardly positive ride with "Harry Rednapp's Blue and White Army"....COYS

Always thought Bentley was a bit of an arrogant c*ck until he did this interview. Cant remember a spurs player showing so much obvious passion for a long time!
Bentley your a true spur!
Either that or it's a very iffy tat he will live to regret...
