Leaky leaky. A sterling source has backed up the Setanta story of earlier today. Tottenham have put in a sixteen million pound bid for the Russian star, Andrei Arshavin.
Personalised shirts sales to one side this would be a fantastic signing. A more than capable replacement for the boyhood Pool fan. A quality player nicely approaching his 'prime'.
And as our Diplomatic Correspondent JGM ably pointed out I wouldn't get too wrapped up in his Euro's games. He's more than two good games and a poor one thus far in his career. He'd cause havoc in the Premiership in the same way Tevez does. That's my belief. And if we can steer him past Barca, Chelsea and Ar5ena1 it'll have been a coup.
If this comes to fruition then the personal terms will make for interesting reading. The salary expectation is unlikely to be less than hefty.

may be true that he has more pace but he isn't a hit man, he is a creative midfielder and so not a replacement. similar to modric but modric has the edge.

ARSHAVIN would be very good for us as he could play behind the striker/s..he is very talented but if we could buy HUUNTELAR and play him up front and arshavin behind him and a midfield of MODRIC,GIOVANNI, BENTLEY AND BARRY!!all the scum in the top 4 will shit them selves.. with BALE, WOODY, KING, HUTTON and GOMES....... no i haven't but could well do with one!!! i'm just so pissed off with all this berbatov and keane sh** that i have tried to make life a bit easier for the GREAT RAMOS !!!w ould be a good team and trim the squad down so the younger lads could haave a chance..
If we get Bentley and Ashravin then our formation for next season is likely to be 2 - 7 - 1
Do we need any more 'creative' midfielders. We need a hard tackling marshall behind the midfield to stop the 'creative' ones dipping in and out of games as they please.
