A funny week. Funny peculiar, rather than funny haha. Not only did we beat the Hun soundly in his own front yard, but we returned from this forray 'sausage side' to revelations that there is trouble in paradise - or the Arse's dressing room anyway. Cashback.
William Gallas' identity crisis hit tilt as he decided to he couldn't save his William Wallace impression for the Emptycrates Multidedominational Non race Specific Party (formerly the Pagan Blood Sacrifice Chrimbo Bash).
Big Bad Bill told the Associated Press in Paris, "...there are things that can't be said and can't be tolerated.''
The only two things he was referring to there were obviously Van Pervert's first and last names...
My guess is his words will turn out to be prophetic.
Wenger will be reminding him who the actual manager of the team is and that Billiam should have kept his trap shut. Running off to the press and revealing that your team's dressing room has imploded is indeed ...intolerable."
"We are not brave enough in battle. I think we need to be soldiers. We have to be warriors," continued Billiam Wallace. "I have to win something this year. I have to win something, Arsenal has to win something...''
Somebody buy this imbecile some face paints and a Kinder Egg.
Or point another microphone at him. Funny hahahahahaha, after all.

Here's more speculation over Sunday's fixture with me in conversation with one of BRFC.com's top contributors, Phillip L.
HH: A game of two goal keepers. How happy have you been Robinson?
PL: Happier than you have been with Gomes recently I suspect. There have been a couple of clangers as he still is not brilliant at judging the "go, stay, oops" crosses into the box. However, his shot stopping has been superb and Scolari rightly singled him out as the difference between 0-2 and 0-7 when Chelsea came calling recently.
We were initially immensely impressed by the length and accuracy of his kicking but when you've got Jason Roberts trying to trap them, it all became it bit pointless and repetitive really.
Suffice to say we miss the reassuring sight of big Brad in goal but judging by Brad's Villa form I suspect we now have the better keeper and Robo being 100 years younger is a bit of a bonus as well.
HH: And can you see him getting his England shirt back anytime soon?
PL: Last man standing isn't it with the England keepers at present? I think it is inevitable he will get his chance on current form compared with the others and so he will have to make the most of it when it comes and watch those dodgy back passes. From what I have seen so far, I think he is England's number one again.
HH: What's your take on our latest media darling, the boy Gomes?
PL: Football is short of entertainers. I hear from inside your camp he is not the total car crash write off the rest of us believe so he might come good. I hope he gets another outing on Sunday.
HH: What's the deal wth Paul Ince. Is he a flailing, out of his depth, idiot?
PL: Yes.
Not impressed- he has divided the support between those going to Ewood to boo and those who have given up. We are grateful for Spurs/Ramos and now City/Hughes for keeping the Rovers off the back pages.
Joking apart, I am very seriously worried. Nothing would please me more than a stirring victory at the Lane heralding a long unbeaten run and a trip to Wembley with Ince the blue and white hero- but we live in the real world.
HH: If Ince were to go, who would be a 'sound' choice in the eyes of your average Blackburn fan?
PL: That's a good one. The fans have grown accustomed to top half finishes (three on the trot) and regular trips to humiliating exits in Europe. So in the summer we expected a bit of glamour and pizazz about the next appointment and knowing there had been contact with Advocaat (who hankers after having a go in the Prem) and Michael Laudrup describing our Chairman as the most knowledgeable and impressive raised hopes and expectations. Which to be honest didn't help Ince with the fans when we came down to earth with a bump.
Now it is all about making sure we are not the only debt-free club in the Championship next season so getting someone who looks to be a safe bet for avoiding relegation has got to be number one priority as we will be deeper in the mire by the time any change is made.
Despite the (in)famous Facebook campaign against Big Fat Sam which undoubtedly weighed in the Chairman's deliberations; I suspect this time there would be a majority of fans who would welcome Allardyce now. It also pains us to admit but our hated neighbours and the inbred relatives of Sam Dingle have a cracking good manager in Owen Coyle but think of Arsenal/Spurs and add the bleakness of the moors and you will get an idea of how well hiring the Burnley manager would go down in both towns.
Quite a few fans are watching the goings on at City with interest- most would be elated to see Sparky back and certainly there was an extremely warm and productive working relationship between John Williams (Chairman) and Mark Hughes.
But the real answer is that Roberto Mancinni is in London learning English because it is his lifelong dream to manage the Rovers...
HH: Some Spurs fans, me included, say we are crying out for a proper DM. Any glaringly obvious pieces missing from your own jigsaw puzzle?
PL: Jigsaw puzzle is an apt metaphor as the boss hasn't got the hang of the sky going at the top and ground at the bottom judging by the way he is forever playing people out of position.
Taking Bentley from us has wrecked us to be honest. Last season he had the highest number of crosses in the League and I think he was credited with 20 assists. Quite why Ince thinks Roque Santa Cruz can thrive in a team playing without proper wingers is beyond me but we are doing a nice little line in signing league 1 and 2 players.
HH: Where are your goals going to come from on Sunday?
PL: Gomes
HH: Between us we've kept only four clean sheets so far this season. What's the basketball score going to be?
PL: 0-0 if Robinson has a blinder. 4-1 to you wouldn't be a surprise.
HH: THFC are blush resistant. Shameless marketing ploys and money spinners seem to be their forte. Do you release DVDs of games you draw?
PL: What's a DVD?
HH: The last transfer window was painful for us. Do you have anyone special 'earmarked' for January?
PL: Macclesfield's centre forward and MK Dons' keeper. Much as I wish I were, I am not joking.
Always nice to know that however bad we may be feeling about Spurs at any given time, there are always clubs worse off. Do have some sympathy for a team that has won the Premier League and now find themselves in the 'probably wont go down, probably wont make europe' group. Do hope we smash em up Sunday tho
"what's a DVD?" buying third rate cheap as chips players from league one. Hmm, It just goes to show when the recession hits it's the Northerners who get it the worst.
Don't let a little self-depreciating humor obfuscate the facts: we need to win this one !!!! There will be no excuses if we fail to gat 3 points on Sunday. We will be right back to the doom and gloom days of before 'arry! We won't be laughing when The Guv'nor is coaching the Lilleywhites in the Championship, will we now!!!!! Just imagine a year from now and those blue and white folks from Lancashire are rooting for us to beat Burnley away at Turf Moor(not pretty is it).
I'm serious!
COYS!!!!!!!!!
Great stuff. You KNOW that Robinson will have an absolute blinder on Sunday though.
If win we will be in 15th place.
Gomes has got get his head screwed on.
Who will fill modric's boots?
Bring out the Bostock!
Paul Robinson:
"It was difficult times towards the end, very difficult for me. I was not playing as well as I wanted to play, my confidence was a little bit low and that's the time you need the support and the strength of the people around you.
"You need the manager and the coaches to believe in you and I didn't get that.
"Confidence is the biggest part of the game for a goalkeeper. You stop coming for balls that you should come for, you start taking the safer option when you should be doing other things."
How much time did he want? He was playing badly for at least a season.
Gomes would love the time Robbo got to get it together.

bar-ber : ˈbɑrbər [bahr-ber]
–noun 1. a person whose occupation it is to cut and dress the hair of customers, esp. men.
If you have BAE's number, know where he lives, or otherwise have a scoop on his whereabouts, it is your responsibility - no, your duty - to educate him on the above.
Thank you.

Great Interview. He speaks like we used to in the days when we were signing Zamora, Rasiak, Dawson & Reid. . . none exactly set the world alight.
I dont have a goof feeling about this one for some reason. Partly because Modric is out and he's been instrumental recently. Partly because its Blackburn and we usually struggle against them And mainly because Bale is fit, will probably start, and continue his hoodoo with Spurs. fast approaching 20 league games and he's yet to win one. Leave him on the bench until we are 4-0 up with 2mins to go and get him on then.
The link might be ropey, but copy and paste the url, and shield the eyes of your children and loved ones.
Waddya reckon then?
.............Gomes................
Hutton....Charlie....Woody....Bale
........Thud........JoH...........
Blud...........JJ..........Fraizer
..............Bent................
Zok despite his recent improvement (which should continue in training & cup games only for the mo),gives the ball away too much in our own half, can't afford that. JoH on the left defensive midfield can cover Bales runs forward better than Zok can (a la Foolham game). Frazier goes left wing cos he's fuckin nippy & likes the left & knows how to feed Bent. We're at home against fucking Blackburn, lets get at them. Blud on right for same reason as Fraizer on left. Which gives great service to our top scorer from cut backs down the wings, as well as 2 & a half defensive midfielders all 3 with an eye for a through ball that Bent loves. Thud the long shots that Robbo hates, bet he gets a brilliant reception on his return, he fucking better! BIOYBC
I think King is fitm and we need prem points, so he'll play. Hutton still getting back to fitness, so I presume Corluka will be at RB. Modric is out, so I'd like to see us go with two up top, see how it goes. Pavlyuchenko and Bent, with Bentley and Lennon on the wings. Jenas and Hudd in the middle. A very attacking line up I know, but we are Tottenham and its all we know.
I'd love to play Bale at LB, but he is cursed, and we cant afford not to win this game.
So: Gomes
Corluka King Woodgate BAE/JoH
Bentley Jenas Hudd Lennon
Bent Pavlyuchenko
Ceasar
Hutton
Dawson
Bale
Zokora
Bostock
Campbell
We have the pace and trickery of Bale, campbell and Bostock along the line if we need it, and can shore the game up with Zokora, Hutton and Dawson.
You know something, I love this shit. Pointless team picking..... but I'm not often wrong
Yeah, really pleased Phillip got in touch and I'll be quick to speak to him again when we play them next.
The questions on these things are always secondary it's the answers we want and it was a pleasure to have him drop by.

Wild Predictions? You know me better than that Double V!
Tottenham come out like lighting 3-0 up at half time. Its all winks and back slaps in the changing room. Overconfident we end up squeeking a 4-3 win from a Gomes long throw.
I think this game will be the perfect opportunity for Hutton to show his stuff, so he should at least start on the right.
As for CB, Corluka should play and King or Woody should play around him, because Corluka is big enough and smart enough to take Santa Cruz out of the game. We need to mark the shit out of that guy, tactical blunders notwithstanding, he is one of the best target men in the premiership.

Corluka can play RB, CB, and DM. It's great to have that versitility. I think he may play RB instead of Hutton (who has not bounced back after his injury), if King is fit.
I hope Redknapp gets a wodge of wonga to spend on DM in January. Zokora ain't it.
I'm worried about Hutton, because he was absolutely immense for the Rangers, and a lot of teams were sniffing around for him. Of course, once you put on the white shirt, you give 100% or you don't play. If he doesn't start on the right, I'd rather Corluka than Gunter by a country mile.
And curse or no, Bale is better than Gunter or BAE, and Zok shouldn't be playing at all. Zok should go back to France.
I'm with grittyspur, the flattery doesn't fool me at all, if we don't turn up well organised with all guns blazing, we'll get done.
If we lose this match, we're back to where we were pre Redschnapps.

I'm more than happy with the 3 points, but you can ramble on about Jenas' work rate all day long. Not having it, there comes a point where effort alone is not enough.
Evening lads, good to win again today. Thought everyone played ok, Lennon was class in the first half, then we put him on the left in the 2nd and he went quiet, wonder why?
Thud - love him, may not be the best midfielder in the world but I doubt there is a more elegant passer, he plays the game the way I believe it should be played, the Spurs way, lots of style!
As Columbo would say, just one more thing......
when Lennon ran in for the goal, pulled it back my heart went for a sec until I realised it was Pav. I knew he'd bury that, might be being harsh but I never feel 100% when its Bent? Not wishing to knock the lad as he's done ok this season.
Peace out.
Oh decided to change my avatar, I was still on the clown. As such I thought I'd go with a player and who better than Mr Roberts who was my idol growing up (Any of my peeps reading this he's just brought a book out and xmas is coming up, hint, hint)
Good result, super performance from Lennon. I also think Corluka had an outstanding game, so cool and calm at the back. He, King and Woodgate are a frightful thought to any team. Adding two full backs in Hutton and Bale that have the potential to be among the best in Europe, our defence aint looking half bad. Still dont like BAE tho. Too many long ball clearances, looks out of position alot too. Get Bale's curse sorted ASAP and get him in the team.
Pav's was very good too. Nowhere near the footballer Berbatov is, but looks an equal goal threat in and around the box. Hudd is finally starting to play like we all know he can, the rest of league are finding out now. We are on the up, nowhere near perfect, but improving. Beat the toffee's and we are laughing.
One thing to point out, only 7 goals in 7 home games??? whats that about? Cant argue with only 6 conceded though, been a while since we were that tight.

Great result. Us? winning 1-0? Are you shhhhuuuuuuure?
Did anyone see, Frazier Campbell and Danny Simpson jokingly squaring up to each other whilst it was all kicking off with Jenas and that Andrews bloke.
Man u teammates, it was quite funny
sure did, even the commentators were joking about it. Shows where Campbell's loyalties lie don't you think. Other than that great result
& my I say I'm Lovin Big Joe, he gets as much news time as Harry for all the right reasons. BIOYC
First off, does everyone realise that our current PL form over the last 6 games is only matched by the top 2? 6 played, 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss.
Now for my comments regarding the game:
1. Aarron Lennon. Yes blud!!! Now thats what I'm talking about.
2. We love you Gomes, we do! Commentators and fickles alike, get off his back you tossers.
3. We're Roman along, singing his song, Roman in a Tott'nam wonderland...
4. Our back four: at times amazing and outstanding, but we still gifted very good chances that other teams would have bitten off. More work hard grafting until we shut out 100% please and thank you.
5. Disappointed with JJ and Bentley. Effort and impact yes, but still a bit short on decision making and confidence. We need them to find their game.
6. Our new manager and coaches -brilliant. Joe Jordan, grrrr woof woof, grrrr! Barking orders like I haven't seen in forever. That's what I call communication and not assuming.
7. Pleat. Thankfully(???) I was listening to other commentary, but I know where you're coming from. The 'what could have been years' are over, stop all this droning on - dare I say at times, it annoys me even more than the ex-scummers.
8. The result. Not being able to capitalise on out performing and dominating the weak opposition is the big lesson to be learned here. Sharpness is a sense of being that we must carry within ourselves. Belief based on knowing our limits and pushing the boundaries, not as heterogeneous entities but as a homogeneous unit. We're starting to gel now. but we're not completely there yet. If, as I pray we do, complete this process soon, then this year could be of decent vintage as opposed to the Chateauneuf-du-crap we started with.

I've never seen such an array of handbags! Looked almost like a wags convention
Aside, manure players being blooded by other PL teams - this is what we should be doing. Show's we've still got a long way until we're properly contenders

So, Jenas was better than Ekotto then. What is this, the season to date marks or the game marks?
The only thing of note that Jenas did was get a bit handbags with Andrews, and even then he lost a mark for not employing a Zangief move on Andrews when he started clamping his foot between his legs, and pulling his pants down.
Too much Dhalsim, not enough Zangief. 5.

Totally agree,
Great result yesterday! If we could beat all the 'lesser' teams around us with ground out one nil score lines for a while, I would be very very happy indeed!
And not to forget le'arse on that rollercoasteresque downward spiral! I think God has woken from his slumber and has heard our despairing cries!

Jenas hater!!
Great result as it's still tight as a gnat's chuff down there.
If we can beat Everton and West Ham, we play Man U then a run of about seven very winable games...getting way ahead of myself but let's laugh as we pass the Ass coming the other way!
WOnder who we'll sign in Jan???
Despite Harry's amazing turn around I suppose we still need the same as we ever did.
Yeah ironic cheering of Gomes isn't going to help, let's knock that shit off.
Amazing how the Thud experiment has value again under Harry, the quarter back position, love it!
Glory glory.

Jenis Lover
Oh, come on chaps. The cheering for Gomes every time he didn't fling the thing into the back of his own net was ironic irony, or post-modern irony.
We did also tell him how much we loved him.

re: "JAMIE REDKNAPP: (10)
for finally buying a new suit.. "
Might I draw your attention to the following entry in this month's Viz profanisaurus:
HAMSTER'S MOUTHFUL (n.) A man's ball sack camel toe, caused by comedically tight trousers, as demonstrated by Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports Super Sunday. e.g "Redknapp's looking very uncomfortable in the final third, Andy?" "Yes Martin. What a hamster's mouthful. Take a Bow,son."

He made a fantastic statement to the effect that all the other teams outside the top four.....would indeed be jostling for a position higher up the table! ...Agreed! Pleat is a senile old man who witters away endlessly about how knowledgable he is. Count the number of times he mentions himself.
In truth, he's a deluded, old, nearly man who belongs in commentary room 101. Skilled at spoiling even the best of matches with comments inane...Indeed, the addled old buffon even said, during a recent FA cup game, "what we need is a lower league Rory Delap".
What we don't need is that pre-senile old w*nker prattling on.Your all gob-shites,I remember when Pleat had our club as a force to be reckoned with. When you deride the man try to think of what might have been
Try to think what MIGHT have been??? Come on Nick, get with the program. I think we are entitled to our opinion of the old git, cos if he cared more about managing our club instead of servicing his knob he wouldn't have lost his bloody job!
