Three Signings Done... Glory Be.

Jurassic Park!

These last ten days or so have been tedious. The amount of guesswork, pandering and second rate hope masquerading as inside info has been on the abundant side of shameful. As a countermeasure against this 'cobblers various' I'm passing on this little lot from a source that is a rareity these days... one actually in a position to comment, TT Dave.

One player is done and dusted and should be announced once his visa has been formalised, that player is Pavluchenko

The man who came in from the cold, went back out again and then came out again, Arshavin will be announced soon too. Zenit contacted us at the weekend and said they would accept our £16m bid.

Huntelaar bid was lodged at the weekend and Ajax have said they are willing to do business but wages are a problem, he wants big money. We are looking for sponsor assistance but are very hopeful this will happen.

Finally....the Veloso deal has finally been agreed, this has been ongoing for weeks but deal struck early yesterday evening.

All passed on in good faith from a senior bod within the PLC's 'financial side'. I trust this is in part, a suitable antidote to the misdirection and despair.

If this is true Harry, you are the man. If not, I'll sort you out cyber-style. But I would much prefer to see Huntelaar than Arshavin tbh. Harry I want an opinion. Papers have been saying that the Huntelaar price tag has put us off but I dont understand why? I would much rather have him then Arshavin who lets face it, is not an out-and-out goalscorer. I know Huntelaar wont come to us, but would you rather pay upwards of 20million for a younger, more prolific goalscorer, or upwards of 20 million for an older, less prolific forward. Despite what the papers say, I cant understand why a 20 million price tag would put Spurs off, if we are willing to pay that kind of money for Arshavin. Then again, papers are probably saying that to cover their tracks by saying that we were preparing a bid for Huntelaar anyway when we never did/will..However, we should go all out to sign this guy. His goals-to-game ratio is unmatched and he seems like the perfect replacement for Berbatov. Him and Pav upfront sounds more appealing to me than Pav and Smoothbum.

Something of a coup Harry; both for your site and THFC. Just the pick-me-up this beleaguered Spurs fan needed. The old "we're only 3 points behind you" gag isn't going to deflect my gooner mates' banter much longer, especially with Chelsea away next up. Let's just hope Veloso and Arshavin are up for a physical battle in the league.

This is super news indeed. But does it mean the end for Bent? More importantly, I hope that it means that vice-captain Jenas now drops to the bench, he's shit and is holding us back. What will the formation be if we do indeed get all four?

----------- Gomes -----------------
Hutton -- Woodgate -- King -- Bale
----------- Veloso ----------------
Bentley --- Modric ------ Arshavin
---- Pavlyuchenko ---- Huntelaar

Bench: Cesar, Huddlestone (cover CB), Gilberto, Jenas, Lennon, Bent, Dos Santos.

Given that Pavlyuchenko is cup-tied for the UEFA Cup, it makes more sense to push for Huntelaar than for Pavlyuchenko. As much as I hope, I cannot see Spurs buying all three strikers (although they may then play Arshavin on the left wing).

we also need decent cover for King because Dawson is also bloody useless.

Given how desperately Everton are looking for players, we should try to flog Jenas to them for 10m and Dawson to them for 5m. Keagan may be another who may bite for these two.

Hi Harry
For once I hope you are right. A fellow Spurs fan here in SA also let know that he knowns someone closely connected to the club and surprise, surprise, the very four names you mentioned: Pav, Ashavin, Huntelaar and Veloso came up together with Corluka. The Huntelaar deal was a bit iffy, but Ashavin,Veloso and Corluka a very strong possibility. So we should be all settled in for the Villa game. Spurs till I die or when Mugabe goes!!!

A word of caution re: Huntelaar -

For every Van Nistlerooy, there seems to be a Kezman AND a Kuyt (both strikers we were heavily linked with before their premier league arrival).

Of course some strikers just don't fit certain teams - look at Sutton great everywhere he played except Chelsea, yet he will always be thought of as a huge flop it would seem.

Of course we might get Huntelaar and he might be phenomenal (as I would expect) but I do see it being a repeat of our current Berbatov situation in two years time (should we not have reached our "promised" land)...

So enjoy him if and while he comes, and no crying when he decides he wants to ditch us for a wealthier sugardaddy!

We currently have a squad of 21 players including a number of injury prone defenders and a sulky bulgarian (& excluding chuff that is surplus to requirements, Ghaly/KPB/Stalteri/Rocha) so we certainly need the signings. Find it hard to believe we would buy Pav, Arsh & Hunts (combined £50m fee), maybe 2 of the 3. Would be very excited to see Veloso & Corluka at WHL, that would really get the goons worrying even more than they are now.

I have been a critic of HH in the past - most notably when he wallowed in the glory of his 'exclusive' that Bentley was signing and had a medical 6 weeks before he actually signed BUT if the above 'gospel truth' is right then i take it all back, HH is in fact a God. Do not disappoint me HH

Here's hoping eh H! Don't know much about Veloso but seems to be the sort of player we need based on what I've heard. Still think we'd need a quality back-up CB / utility defender, however with a decent dcm we may look a lot more solid and negate the need for anyone other than JaimeSpurs favourite - Super Daws!
As for Huntelar - he's young and unproven and very slow! agree with the Kuyt / Kezman comparison (not to say he's not good). I'd prefer smoothbum as he's played at the highest level (Intl & Uefa Cup Final) & looked the nuts!

I can't understand why people come on here & slate the info. I'm interested in who we may or may not sign. Even if you were General Levy you could post on here saying we're going to sign someone only for the deal to fall through at the last minute. I trust H has info and this is passed on it's not concrete as if it was it would be on the official site with a pic of the player in a shirt! I believe the rumours off here more than any other site mainly because I think there's truth in them wheather or not the player signs for us is another matter however I feel it gives an indication of who the club are trying to get in.
What do you want H to put, 'please find below the team I would pick on Sunday' discuss.
That would be wank and i'd no longer spend all day blogging on HH and watching redtube / pornhub while exercising my left arm. I would just be doing the latter and as my eyesite isn't what it once was I do not want to turn into Stevie Wonder!

Chevski’s money to Real will finance a deal for Berba that will see him move there. CL final to be those two teams this year with ManUre being knocked out in the semis. Tough on Sir Red Nose who will look back on the fact that the poor skint, up to their eyes in debt and interest payements ManUre could not sell enough team pictures, key rings and toilet paper to finance the deal. PS It was Berba’s brace for Real that knocks ManUre out!

Fully agree my carrot topped friend. For some reason the amount of school kids that hijack this site is unusually high today! First we had "hoddle" & "barry" (I still think they're the same person!) now we have the rest of them! Don't worry once this article worms its way down the NEWSNOW feed they'll all forget about it & stop posting!

Harry, if this is true then this could be the best summer of transfer activity we have had in a very very long time.

Huntelaar is class, a true goalscorer & poacher of the highest order, a dutch finisher!

Arshavin for £16m is the right money for one of his age and stage in his career, he'll no doubt help Pav settle and vice versa for AA (is AA better than Keane?? well judged on Keane's performances for Pool lately then YES he is) Nice to see Levy isn't being ripped off by the russians and the mr 10%ers.

Veloso - all i know about this kid is what i've seen of him in UEFA cup games & some Eurosport Liga games but he looks composed, happy to sit in the hole in front of the back 4, can tackle and can play CB too. Is he the utility Defensive man we've been looking for?? Could well be.

Exciting times at WHL. HH any news on when said deals would be concluded / announced??

For the doubters amongst you, I think you should wait until midnight on September 1st before you start talking shit.

FFS,someone who 'used' to be SWPs agent said "He's definitely not going to Citeh" and then what happens?

Hope we can make up the shortfall of Huntelaar. Bearing in mind our squad is currently 20 and the year before last it was 38, I wouldn't have thought wages were a problem?

Harry! Going out on a limb like that is kind of scary stuff considering the keyboard backlash you could receive from 36,000 or so Valium cases you have waiting to pounce. The mental anguish sustained from the seasons opening has clearly left a bigger mental scar than usual starts so I realize your need to be spot on here.
I actually feel Veloso is the key signing amongst all of them, not that I know too much about him. It’s just that DM is the one position that we have absolutely no cover for in squad that is packed with midfielders to start with. Comolli sucks….

We need a DM like Simon Cowell needs loser-fitting Jeans. Any competent combination of strikers are going to have plenty of chances to score goals at Tottenham, PSB’s faltering at Liverpool says it all and even more so with the creativity already acquired. No, it’s the protecting of the back four, breaking up of play and the setting in motion of a new sequence of passes that is the key to our future, let alone season. Not buying a direct replacement for Carrick, two years after he left is still our priority. Whoever thought Zokora had any of the positional sense, vision or passing ability that Carrick had and needed for DM should be shot, let’s not mention the tackling and Carrick wasn’t the best at that either! Comolli sucks…

Any player who knows his job at this position will increase the teams effectiveness as what we have, haven’t got a Danny! I feel that Pavlyuchenko and Arshavin would prove to be great purchases compared to the two going out because they want to come and play. “Bastardoff” has played one game in over a season for us at full pelt (Carling Cup) and that’s debatable and Keane turned in to “PSB” instead of truly leading. Now two bodies working in harmony upfront will be more like “Archibald and Crooks” and not “Mills and McCartney”.

Pekhart leaving on loan means we will be buying three strikers that’s a given, a DM will assist in me holding down a square meal or two before Christmas though….

JS how good is Daws? - Discuss!

Just kidding!
Personally not 100% on Huntelar, I do think he's a good finisher but a bit plodding (like Thud!) and slow. As for AA although a 27 year old Russian who has never played outside his domestic league is a big risk, I do think he is worth the risk as the guy is one of the very few players I have seen in world football who can beat a team on his own (Berba being another I'm afraid). Keano couldn't get it done against the top sides, even if Huntelar turns out to be top notch he'll still only be a finisher and at the very highest level we will need someone who is a game changer (I know I'm thinking Modric & J2S as i'm typing it, but I still think AA could be better!)
PS you worried no CB links? Daws could be needed!

I will be well chuffed if these come off Harry. Obviously the club has tried before now to sort out the imbalance the team currently has but as proven by the Corluka fiasco last time around sometimes things just ain't meant to be. That's business and unfortunately footy is no different.

Anyway, just to say Harry that as the Transfer Double Glazed Window sponsored by Pilkington Glass (mark my words it will probably happen) closes, I just wanted to say thanks for keeping us all up to date. Not sure why you have your detractors and moreover why some of those actually come on to your blog to have a go, but for me you have kept it humourous, informative and as accurate as it will allow. Fuck me......another load of old bollocks on the net....where do you lot pull this shit from? Until is appears on either Soccernet or the Spurs website you can take this with a pinch off salt.
The team at the moment is an absolute disgrace, jenas vice-captain???? england squad??? come on! the man is useless, how someone can go missing for 89 and a half minutes of a game and maintain his spot in the team is beyond me.
The team is never going to be any good all the time Ramos persists with playing players out of position. Bale, correct me if i'm wrong, one of the best up and coming full-backs in the premier league, why then would Ramos have him behind Ekotto in the pecking order, THE MAN IS SHITE!
Darren Bent = MUPPET why have we just loaned out Pekhart to Southampton? The boy has a proven scoring record in the ressies...why not give him a go?!
Two games into the season and i can see this is going to be the same old shit we put up with year in year out...........

I had serious misgivings about AA because i thought for the £24m / £20m fee that was being talked about was way too excessive. I always maintained though that if Spurs could get him for around £15m that it wouldn't be too high risk. I see his ideal position on the left wing of a 4-5-1 seeing as most of the games i've seen him play he seems to cause most damage from that side and drifts infield when he wants to.

Huntelaar is a finisher, a striker has to be in the right place at the right time to score goals and thats what he does. He just seems to know where the balls going to be and before you know it he's scored. A kind of modern day dutch Lineker. Lets be honest Spurs wouldn't part with big money for a guy they didn't see as integral to the first team.

Veloso can play at CB or CDM so I'm thinking that when needed (King injury/rest) he'll drop to CB and other than that he'll be the CDM. Will be interesting to see how Ramos plays it with JJ and Modric. Modric is the better footballer but JJ is vice-captain, who will he drop in favour of Veloso?????

Not worried about Dawson in the slightest. I'm convinced he wont be at Spurs this time next season. He's ok for a Pompey or Newcastle of this world but not good enough for a team with big aspirations

Agree with 1st para. To me he looks like he's one of the top 4 or 5 players in the world, if there wasn't a risk about him cos he's a Rusky and his age we wouldn't stand a chance in getting him.
2nd para - agreed, however Lineker was quick!
3rd para - JJ, we've just spent £16m on Modric (may play 3 in centre mid anyway)
4th para - mmm, why sign him to a new contract? Don't think Veloso would play CB in EPL, not sure he's physical enough.

So actually, Real Madrid and anyone else with CL and a bit of dosh is possibel competition. One thing that might be on our side is that Madrid has even less money than we have and Ajax want to get the most they can.

Besides, the article doesn't actually name sources and used the dreaded words "....understands" which means they have no proof and are going on hearsay, and possible undisclosed sources. Carvalho came from Porto after playing in the Portuguese Liga and look how successful he's been. I don't think the EPL is that physical anymore. I think most foreign players struggle to adapt to the pace and not the physicality.

I'm not a great believer in YOUTUBE videos of players but go on there and have a look at the variety of goals he has scored. He's got some record in the Eridivisie too so you won't be short of goals to watch!! Incidentally.... top strikers from the dutch league always seem to settle into the PL quite quickly (RVN, RVP, Alves)

Dawson on a long contract is worth more when it comes to selling him. Whoever wants to buy him will have to take into account that he's on a long contract and will have to pay extra to release him from that. Well thats what I hope so anyways!! lol

Yeh, it was Zhirkov, he was class. Also rated Zyrianov and the right back Anyukov. All looked top drawer in the Euros. We all know however that the Premiership is a different proposition entirely. I believe all 3 play for Zenit though, so they must be suitable for UEFA Cup football

Yes.
We pin our hopes on Wayne Rooney, who is one step up from Paul Dickov! Sh1t!

What i was getting at is that there have been very few top quality Russians in the last 20 years (Karpin who played in Spain was one) they've got the best team they've had in ages, so the fact none have been in EPL is irrelevant.
And yes I do think the England team is shit! its a boys club!

Ferguson has stated that he doesn't think they will get anybody else in before the window and BBC now seems to think that the moody one will be staying put. More mind games from Ferguson to get us to lower the price or are we going to be stuck with the moody git rotting in the reserves?

Funny thing is that i think the one piece of journalism that is true is the merry go round article. Chevski's money for Robinho will give Real money to replace him which may be Villa. The fact that he has just signed a 6 month contract just raises his price as we all know with Berba being under contract. Huntelaar is hoping for the Real move but if that doesnt happen I am sure he will look at us and a pay rise. That would then allow DL to sell Berba and so on.

Carvalho came from Porto after playing in the Portuguese Liga and look how successful he's been. I don't think the EPL is that physical anymore. I think most foreign players struggle to adapt to the pace and not the physicality.

I'm not a great believer in YOUTUBE...

Kuyt, Kezman, RVP - how many has he scored? overated in my opinion (although playing for the scum I was always likely to say that). Huntelar just looks slow, he'll be another PSB can't cut it against the very top boys. I've seen Bob beat Rio three times in one move and each time he was still there as PSB didn't have the pace to get clear. The Dutch league is Pish (Steve Mclaren coaches there for gods sake how good can it be). its all imaterial (sorry can't spel for toffee!) as if we sign him i'll be bigging him up, between you and I though I have big doubts.
Still not sure on Veloso covering as a CB, how many top midfielders have you seen playing at the back (Zokora! LOL!)
ps What is your job, I want one where I can spend all day on here!

A little bit from the boys who know Huntelaar best.
Huntelaar has received praise from defenders that have had the task of marking him. Dutch international central defender Barry Opdam has said "He can easily move in between defense and our midfield, leaving most of us confused. He is smart. He can predict what his team mates do and what we will do in response. He also uses his body smartly. At the right time, before the cross or pass comes in, he’ll nudge you. That gives him those extra seconds or that extra half a yard. He has grown enormously, in particular physically."[6] PSV Eindhoven’s Dirk Marcellis has said "You can only stop Huntelaar if you stop the whole team from playing football. He is a smart chap, using his body in a good way. He may not look it, but he is very strong. Never mean, though. Just smart. Little nudges, a quick pull on the jersey, those kind of things. He sometimes looks distracted, but that’s just his thing. He uses that to lull you to sleep."[6] Swiss defender Stephan Keller states: "How to stop Huntelaar? Pfff…no idea. The thing is, everything he does, every move is thought about. He sees the game so well and he has the ability to sense when you’re just not paying attention and then he’s gone. He is the best I’ve ever seen. He will definitely make it big in Europe somewhere

Reading an article today about Villa and his new contract, Velencia and Villareal have come out and criticised Real Madrid for how they handle their transfers (Villareal knocked back a bid from Real for Santi Cazorla) There is no way that Valencia will sell Villa to Real. IMO this leaves Real with £30m burning a hole in their pocket which could be used to buy Berba.

IMO ManUre are still the most likely to buy Berba. They have looked toothless up front all season and terrible in the striking department. Another poor showing against Zenit tomoro night and Fergie will have to come to us and buy Berba.

Thankyou for dispelling the fears of Ginge! I think Huntelaar would be a brilliant signing and a player who could really push us on. Think about it..... how many times do we score, scrappy, close range goals? hardly ever. He's the player that could make the difference between a 1-1 draw and a 2-1 win. the kind of player who'll put away that last chance that so often for us goes begging.

Some people, when the discover these exciting snippets then come on here, ridicule the sources, say it's copied, call EVERYONE who wrote ANYTHING a c**t and then get right back to refreshing. Get a f**kin grip. Huntelaar, Arshavin, Pavlyuchenko, Veloso, Ronaldo, Messi, Bramble. It's what we all come on here for. Is it 100% true? Who knows, but it's bloody entertaining... and maybe that's the point???

Surely Huntelaar is just an alternative incase we don't get Arsharvin, because I have no idea why we would get both, if we did we wouldn't be able to fit all these signings into the same but essentially a balanced squad. You would think that Dos Santos and Modric would have come here under the condition that they would be in the first team, so it's ludicrous seeing all these fantasy 11's on here that leave them out the side! Bentley is a sure starter too, and if Veloso arrives that's a midfield 4 sorted. If Arsharvin comes then I'd imagine he would drift between the midfield and Pavlyuchenko up top. This is how I struggle to see how Hunterlaar would fit in here, unless Ramos seems to think he can rotate him and Pav?!

Another worry of mine is that Modric and Arsharvin seem to be very simialr players in that they don't have an assigned role and instead drift about, Dos santos could fall in this category too. I fear this will leave us with huge gaps in places and we'll get exploited by opposition if everyone is just doing what they like.

Juande better have a plan here, I want to be proved wrong!

So your problem is that you think his 'ITK' is bullshit and that he has just ripped it off from other sites?!

Did you not consider that if he is not actually lying to us and that his ITK does exist that this then backs up the other rumours about the same names from other 'sources' which should make us all the more positive?

If you hadn't noticed we're in desperate need of strikers and so it's quite understandable that we'd be trying to negotiate for a few at once.

Do i think we'll end up with all these, no i don't, but I think it's wise not to put all your eggs in one basket don't you? I'm sure you'd be the first to kick off if the deadline ticks by and we're left with nothing!!

Pav, Bent, Huntelaar will be our three strikers. For some games we may play 4-4-2 for some games 4-5-1. With the UEFA, FA, Carling Cup competitions on top of a 38 game league season we'll need players who can play in different systems and different games. AA, J2S, Modric and to some extent Bentley can play behind the lone striker. whilst AA, J2S & Modric can play LM / LW its all about having a squad of flexible players so that when it comes to it we can switch systems/formations/styles.

That's ok from a managerial and fans perspective, but all 3 of Pav, Bent and Hunterlaar will want to be the main striker or be part of the main partnership. With all these supposed signings about to arrive not all of them are going to play all the time, which is only going to put us in a situation where we have been before with unhappy players.

It's good to have variety and adaptable players, but come crunch time we need a system that spurs play best and are most comfortable doing. This will take far too long if different formations and line ups are constantly being used. Our problem for years now has been a lack of consistency, at an early stage I'm fearing that is isn't being resolved.

Just to add my personal opinion i feel that 4-5-1 is the way to go, GDS on the left and Bentley on the right, with DM (possibly Veloso or Hudd) staying back alowing Modric and Arsharvin to supplement Pav. But hey this is just hopeful thinking!

Am I right in thinking hudds has recently signed a new contract? I can only see him going out on loan if he leaves. As for all the screaming about this being rubbish, copied or whatever why are you wasting your time (and far more importantly the faithful optimistic spurs supporters) when you could be posting this on ITK!

Now we have 7 subs there is alot more scope for change over the course of 90mins and over the course of the season. We are not going to achieve anything by having a strong group of say 15 players and then the rest of the squad are also rans. We need strength and depth in all areas of the side and by signing names in that group of 4 that is what we'll have.

Remember Ramos is rather bold with his substitutions and picking his starting 11 there will be plenty of opportunity for all the squad.

remember how many players we've let go, are squad is nearly as paper thin as Everton's & we have some injury curse over the club! Lee going is good, as is the Peck loan deal as it's now worth watching a bit of championship footy!
Also we've only got Bent at the mo, remember this time last year we had 3 others, as such not unreasonable to think we might sign three strikers.

On the strikers if we really were lucky enough to get all 3 then i'm pretty sure that means the end for Bent.

We can't sustain 4 quality strikers without the carrot of CL and huge wages and as much as i rate bent maybe he just isnt a spurs player.

Anyway, 3 strikers is plenty and we'd actually have 4 if you add J2S who can play there are as well. On top of that, if Pekhardt tears up the championship then we'll be wanting to fit him back in come january as well.

Ramos is pretty ruthless and it won't surprise me if Bent's another casualty of the revolution...

Pav, Bent, Huntelaar will be our three strikers. For some games we may play 4-4-2 for some games 4-5-1. With the UEFA, FA, Carling Cup competitions on top of a 38 game league season we'll need players who can play in different systems and different games. AA, J2S, Modric and...

That's ok from a managerial and fans perspective, but all 3 of Pav, Bent and Hunterlaar will want to be the main striker or be part of the main partnership. With all these supposed signings about to arrive not all of them are going to play all the time, which is only going to put us in a situation...

How are Pav, Bent, and Hunter all confirmed to want to be the "main striker(s)"?

Bent signed on at Spurs with Berbs, PSB, and Defoe still here, he knew he wasn't going to be the main striker. He didn't complain all last year when he was given minimal time on the pitch, so why would that change this year?

As for Pav an Hunter, I'm sure Ramos has explained they are going to have to fight for a starting spot like the rest of the squad.

If they add AA, then that is two creative midfielders (Modric) when we were severely lacking in that area.

I'd go with a 442, with Pav/Bent up front, Bentley and GDS on the wings, Modric creating going forward, and a DM (NOT JJ!) holding. We need more in the box to get on the end of the wonderful crosses of Bentley/GDS during the run of play, not just wait to fill the box on free kicks.

Guess what?? Pavluchenko is coming to spurs, yeah I know its all over the papers but my sisters, mothers, brothers cousin who works for london underground , and his best mates mothers uncle, knows someone in canada who's best mates with his grans mum's aunt, and she knows the best friends cousin who sells burgers outside white hart lane, and he met a a bloke who is engaged to his second cousins mother and she has a dog called Alan, and Alan pissed on the steps of the finance department at white hart lane, and the piss was smelt by the toilet cleaner who knows ten people in the training ground and his mum was my nurse at hospital when i used to take the tablets and she told me to stop making fucking sh*t up cos it only annoys spurs fans who have mor than enough stuff to be annoyed about.

like for example a chairman who goes cries like a 12 years old girl to the premier league, about big bad fergie taking his best players instead of fighting to keep them, like mourhino did with drogba and like fergie did with ronaldo, in what other job would a chairmaN keep his job when his 2 best employees. come on lets hear you i'm sure there are lots of levy lovers out there???

To sign Pavlova would be a huge mistake. Likewise would be Arshavin. Huntelaar? Don't even get me started. Calamitous.

No. There's only one sharp-shooter good enough to wear the Lilywhite.

We need Shane.

In my mind's eye, I already see the mysterious shooter drifting into N17, and quickly finding himself drawn into the conflict for a Top Four place - a conflict involving a footballing sodbuster (Rafa), and powerful Champions League barons (Fergie, Arsene and Big Phil), all competing for the same filthy, lurid muck.

Shane takes the job, but finds a young fan (Joey) drawn to him for his strength and skill with a football, and for leading his team to victory after victory.

The drama unfolds, with Shane winning the league for Spurs in a climactic showdown with Fergie's hated henchmen (the Mancs). But, after securing Spurs' homestead in the coveted Top Four, Shane urges Joey to grow up strong and continue supporting his beloved THFC, then transfers to Barcelona.

At which poignant moment, Joey hollers after him, "Shane! Shane! Come back! Oh, fcuk off, the."

Sniff.

I just checked the Daily Bulletin of the Holy See Press Office and I was amazed to find not a word about that scuzzy team that plies its trade at Old Trafford.

And then I realised - I've been mistaking His Hoiliness the Pope and Fergie for being one and the same person.

Silly me. They're actually different people, and Fergie is just an ordinary bloke.

I really must stop watching Sky Sports News and scouring NewsNow for my spiritual needs and guidance.

Total agreement with you. Can't believe that these comments are coming from Spurs fans.

Can't see why anyone would come out with such bile, if they truly support Spurs. Veloso I think will happen!

He didn't complain all last year when he was given minimal time on the pitch, so why would...

Hi to dare is to do: I think the last Russian was Andre Kanchelskis,

hi simon, actually kanchelskis woz about as russian as ryan giggs is welsh lol, kanchelskis woz born in ukraine & his family were actually lithuanian but he started his international career wiv U.S.S.R which then split up & he carried on playing 4 russia, so leaves my question in tact, WHICH RUSSIAN...

shut up you tit.

which bulgarian was successful pre berbatov.

jonathan blondel

The Russian national team (and all its players) have been pretty average / shit for a while. When was the last time Russia got to a final of a major tournament or a Russian club won a European trophy?

Nuff Said.

when has England got to a final of a major tournament? Does that make all english players shit? A russian club won the UEFA Cup trouncing bayern along the way and we'll see how they'll do against MAN U soon enough. CUNT.

Last time I looked we played in England?
My point was the Russians have been shit for ages so why would any of them have been good in the EPL? Why would teams from one of the top leagues bring in below average players?
They wouldn't, would they? (add sarcastic sigh!)
Right then son, got that so far............ good.
The Russians have got to a major international tournament and Zenit (A Russian club with lots of Russian players!) won the Uefa cup. (still with me?)
As such one could assume they must have some decent players for once? (agreed?)
Ok.
The original point was when have any Russians been a success in the EPL?
They haven't cos by and large they've all been shit and very few have come over. They are now seen to have their best team in ages and as such we are looking to buy a couple. As such I don't think you should judge the current crop against the Alexi Smertin's of this world.
As for English players - I personally think in the main they are shit, as judged not only by our record in Internatinal tournaments but in the way we play.

As an old teacher once told me 'read the question before you answer it'
I would add on to you 'you thick cock jockey!'

So lets get this straight, Harry writes a load of nicked material that is quite unlikely stuff, and states clearly "he" has received this from a contact. He then titles it "Three signings done".
Right, so then to disbelieve him or his "contact" we aren't actually allowed to click on the link to make that decision - Thats why I dont understand "You shouldn't read it then".
Next if it then comes to pass that Harry's contact is BS, and it's just lifted (as usual) from other sites that are held in absolute contempt by Harry here, and anybody who points this out is somehow not a loyal Spurs fan for not going all gushy over how wonderful it all is? I say maybe it's time to wonder about HH's loyalty TBH, seeing at is he who lies to us, slags off every other site, and basically enjoys winding us all up with these type stories. But yeah I suppose it isn't hard to doubt MY loyalty by pointing all this out. HH is Spurs isn't he and so any ridiculous thing he says or does is just the Spurs way....

I know Ossie sounds like a huge douche bag, but try to remember he is at a time in his life where he is confused about a lot of things and his body is going through a lot of strange changes that he is afraid to ask about. Why do people keep misspelling swear words, using 'cnut' and 'fcuking' etc. instead?

Judging by a lot of today's comments you could be forgiven that we're all back at school, but we're not, nobody is going to give you the cane.

I wish this shit cunt of a window would shut the fuck up.

Excuse my ignorance Pacific Northwest? where's that Oregan way?
& what makes you a Spurs fan, you an ex Pat?

Just north of Seattle, Washington. Not an ex-pat just started watching Spurs a few years ago. Loved to watch Keano play the game (don't want to peel any scabs). I thought they were a great club on the cusp of achieving again. What can I say, got hooked. As for transfers, I trust the club, as for play, they will come around. Good things ahead my friend.

Hopefully! weren't a Sonics fan I hope, they got shafted big time! So why Spurs though? Don't know if you read ESPN.com columist Bill Simmons (aka The Sports Guy) He decided to support a team last year and ended up picking Spurs! quality bit of writing as to why he picked them (readers e mailed in who he should support and why!)

Passionate play, passionate fans and a rich history to start. Got lucky and got to watch a good number of games. No easy feat in the USA, I liked the aggressive play, and the fluidity of movement between midfield and strikers. Plus the biggest thing, pretty shirts.

About 3 years now, but many to come. Im glad its just me and you here, or the rest of these jackals might tear me apart. I suppose aggressiveness is all relative. Watching MLS here made the PL look flat out bloodthirsty.

So lets get this straight, Harry writes a load of nicked material that is quite unlikely stuff, and states clearly "he" has received this from a contact. He then titles it "Three signings done".
Right, so then to disbelieve him or his "contact" we aren't actually allowed to click on the link...

If you don't like the site go away! Simple really. I can appreciate people being misled by the headings and then to close the page or possibly write a two line 'your a wanker' tirade. However some people write war & peace every time something is posted slagging H off. Don't bother if it offends you...

mmmm, my Sunday Lague side is probably as good as most MLS teams!
Don't know how much you know about Spurs but of the modern era (colour TV!) i'd look up some players on you-tube to see some damn fine goals!
Glenn Hoddle
Gazza
David Ginola
Jurgen Klinsman
Ossie Ardiles
Chris Waddle
Clive Allen
Steve Archibald
Teddy Sheringham
and have a look for Graham Roberts (my favourite player as a kid!) I remember one particular moment when he deposited Ar5ena1 mincer Charlie Nicholas into the stands (in fact i'm going to look it up now!)

I have a very good source who is very near to the club who undoubtedley you will have heard of. He is a Mr Kemsley. Although he does not have as much to do with Tottenham as he once di he still is a big fan and box holder and also used to be very good to his assistants of which my uncle used to be one. They became great freinds due to his charismic personality and my aunt and his wife often go shoping together. Well stories aside he still has a clue about what is going on in the club and my Uncle sent me this email this evening and due to the fact i dont have any access to a blog and am not a member of sites such as vital football i thought I might aswell post it on the blog which has the top story on news now to let spurs fans know. Any way here is the email.

To Little Haz

How is my favrioute nephew? You must pop over for some nosh sometime soon becuase we haven't seen you in ages. Anyway the reason I sent you this email was to let you in on a little secret straight from Pauls mouth when I saw him earlier today when we had tea at the Ritz with the naggers ! Anyways he mentioned to me that Veloso's deal is nearing completion ment to have a medical sometime this weekend although it will most probably be Monday. In terms of Pavlychenko the papers have all the news hel be in London tomorow completeting his move. Aparently Huntelaar is a no go as it is meant to be a conuction by the press as he did well in the Euros and is more affordable than Villa. Arashavin has been having many phone conversations with Levy and has aparently stated to him that he will be coming asap as he feels outcast at Zenit and will sign a deal straight after the super cup piece of shit trophy or whatever the fuck its called :D anyway last rumour to report is that aparently Micah Richards is set to file a transfer request at Man City after spurs have been tapping him up and to quote Paul ( a bit of a dogy deal) though it makes sense as he plays CB and RB and he has said he wants to come.

Not a Jenus fan, don't understand the captaincy, but kicking him out over open water may be a little extreme. Lets just drop him off in the Azores.
