We are waiting a few hours before we finally accept Man U offer as Real Madrid as expected to offer £35m. Heskey joining is a complete fabrication. We will make a final final bid for Arshavin but it doesnt look good. We have also been sniffing around Capel. Veloso is 50/50. Berba deal will be resolved in next two hours then expect three quick signings (all already agreed in principle)..

calm down - this will be a great short-term signing. If we can get him motivated his physical presence will help our artisans to perform. Also, there will always be takers for him when we sell him next summer so it will be relatively cheap to have him rampaging for us.

The bottom line is that if we can't get a top star, then at least we get someone who is effective and provides us with some much missing beef. And at least it ain't Rasiak.

Im outraged by Berba's antics today, surely he knew we accepted bid from city and expected him to go to manchester and speak to mark hughes, having said that i'm not suprised by the backward dealings of sir alex ferguson, utd seem to have different rules to any other team that they are constanly allowed to get away with. On the Heskey side, I actually think he'll be a good squad player, yes I want a higher profile name, but heskey knows the league, can hold the ball up, win headers, score(every now n then) has pace and gets called upto england, so cant be all that bad. I'm sure we have been speaking to other players to take us forward, and in the next 4 hours we'll be happy.

On a slightly seperate note why do I get the feeling that there are so many Spurs fans who don't rate Bent? Out of 14 starts last season he nets 7. Now so far this season amid the turmoil he has a goal after 3 starts. In his debut PL season for us the fella gets a goal every two games average despite not playing regularly at all and if the supply is right and he plays regularly I'd bet that he'd get 20+ this season. The only question should be who is going to play as the support striker for this young English goal getter not who is going to replace him in the team. Christ he made Charlton look respectable on his own and I'm pretty sure that wasn't a fluke. Yes I know preseason shouldn't be taken too seriously but his finishing was sublime and i'm pretty sure teams don't go out to try and get thrashed in preseason even if they are not giving their all. I could honestly see Hesky being a good foil for Benty. COYS!!!

this ain't so bad. too many teams get something out of us by sticking a lump up front and repeatedly boofing long balls at him; it might be nice for us to be able to turn the tables every now and then. Emile looks leaden but then again so would you if each of your legs were the size of one Michael Owen. If we get Heskey as well as Veloso tonight, I still consider this a good days work. He only scored 13 goals in 65 appearances for Wigan in 2006/07. Simply not good enough, for us!!!!

i tend to find they taste better or worse depending on the score. Just typical of the goss though, should've been a shish instead of a doner - there's more meat to it.

It sounds like it could happen! my thoughts for this are that, I was out a few months back and Woodgate was there he said it was easy to choose Spurs over Newcastle coz he will get noticed more easily being at a london club. Since his move he has started to come back on the scene for England.
