There's an air of almost gleeful expectation amongst Spurs fans this morning. Which is a good thing. Much of our season so far has been spent in the GP's waiting room complaining that we can't stop tutting and rolling our eyes.
The Tottenham stall has been well and truly laid out by our Costamonger In Chief.
The commitment to the UEFA Cup has been downscaled and as the names on the travel itinery indicate, the Premiership is what we are about.
But what we do have by default is an amazing opportunity for some of the eight Acadamy lads that have travelled to make a name for themselves.
Shakhtak Donetsk are are a decent firm. The conditions are going to be what the British Met Office are describing as 'awfully nippy'. The pitch rumoured to be ropey and our support, whilst passionate I'm sure, would struggle to fill one plane.
The interview with Chimbonda could have been written by a disgruntled Spurs fan.
There are many superb players at Tottenham, it won’t be easy to get a place in the first team…
Pascal: I think this is good for the team.
Tomorrow the temperature will drop by 8 degrees below zero. How are you going to come with that?
Pascal: I shall be wearing a double set of playing kit.

Blimey. Some of the rubbish I have had to listen to since the final whistle blew yesterday afternoon. You would never know that we had in the main, put out a very credible performance against a Champion's League side that currently sit fifth in the Premiership with very nearly twice as many points as us.
There are some of you out there who say you support this side, but don't outwardly exhibit any qualities I would associate with support. Now, if you told me you were a season ticket holder at Nitpickers United - I'd buy that.
I'm not advocating a Happy Clappers Club, just lose the clever dick/ know it all routine. Opinion is great. But I don't know of an other club where every ball is analysed, every pass scored out of ten. Frankly, your forensic sniping depresses me more than any shortfalls I might witness on the grass.
Oh yeah, just in case I've got any readers left, the Adebayor song. The fact that some of you make my stadium echo with it makes me want to self harm. A finer example of cowardly racism I cannot recall.
Cudicini 7 Assured.
Corluka 6.5 Off colour.
Dawson 7.5 Awesome again.
Woodgate 7.5 Imposing.
Chimbonda 5 Like Baldric counting beans. Added nothing.
Assou Ekotto 7 Good, but not at his best.
Lennon 6.5 Like a postman on a Sunday. No delivery.
Palacios 9 Won the ball and really wore the shirt. MOTM.
Jenas 6.5 Usual fare, some good work, some bad. The good just outweighed the bad. Just.
Taarabt 6.5 I like desire and so score it highly. He needs to start a game soon.
Modric 7 A pleasure. Perhaps needs to get in the gym and muscle up a tad?
Keane 6.5 Went beserk in the first half, went missing in the second. Is he fit?
Pavlyunchenko 6.75 Out of sorts.
Bent 5 Made Pav look like a threat.

As per this CLICKLISHOUS previousness on HH, the ever decreasing circles that are Tottenham Hotspur's transfer window activities appear at last to be really gathering some genuinely earnest backward momentum.
Ladies & Gentlemen, Pascal Chimbonda.
Archibald on Spurs Odyessy had, as per most erstwhile respected sources, a comparativley abysmal summer transfer window. Facts is facts. In fairness, he did just shut up opposed to degenerating into 'We are 100% looking at a DM' , speak.
Let's hope that normal service has been resumed as he now says that the Mittened Monsieur is supposedly down for a monday medical.
So if Chimbonda is the answer... the what was the... yeah, precisely.
This story has had weight all along based upon his agent and Berbatov's both having eminated from a place (some might recall) so low, even the rats was hunchbacked. My guess, is a loan deal with wages notably in excess of his present drawings.
A mess?
Yes.
Are we trying to rectify it?
Probably.

Your list of good deeds in the Lilywhite shirt stands, but the good was often soured by infuriating runs that caused little but leaving you hugely out of position. I won't bang on, you know when and why it all came undone.
Valencia bless'em are apparenly stumping up the £8 million that will allow Hutton to take over. The Spaniards are said to be, and I make no apoplogy for using accountancy jargon here... 'up to their knickers in debt', yet this morning this story breaks in the British press as does another in the Spanish that David Villa is likely to be offered a monster new contract to keep him there.
So a tremendous bitta business by Levy & Co. if this goes through. There's no two ways about it. Chimbonda arrived as a Premier League Dream Team player. He will leave thanked for much of his work at The Lane but will the need to re~invent himself as a more disciplined force if he is to do more than survive. For that lolly they'll be expecting more than hit and miss far post headers.
