TerrasBlog 04/02/09 - No news better be good news!!!

I am hoping that you like the new layout and slight tweaks on the site.

One of the things with doing a blog as part of a network is that you are bound by their rules and when OleOle update their templates TerrasBlog goes with it. You could view that as a negative, but I would prefer to focus on the positive's of being part of a world wide soccer, social networking site.

I have received messages from all over the globe from people who have either been to Weymouth or are from Weymouth. They are all able to keep in touch with the club and using the 'subscribe' option to the right of here, can get the blog in their inbox everytime it is updated (technology eh?).

We have made some influential friends during our time with TerrasBlog including respectec bloggers at both Arsenal and Barcelona. As often mentioned on the podcast, their help and assistance is invaluable in running this site.

Enough introspection though, let's talk Terras. Bad weather apparently prevented Colin Hill and Lee Power from making it to the Wessex yesterday. I know it is my warped mind, but I had a dream about them sitting in one of the dugouts surrounded by piles and piles of ledgers and paperwork establishing their due diligence. I can only imagine how complex these proceesses are, but I hope they are going well.

The fact that they are taking time shows just what sort of a mess the club is in and that a thorough approach is needed to get the true extent of the situation appraised. A lot of people have a lot of love for Weymouth Football Club and it is important that the right decisions are made this time to ensure the long term survival of non-league football in the town.

Don't make me think about founding my own club again!!

Finally regular readers of the forum will know I have been (unsuccessfully) trying to get my hands on the blue away shirt.

It isn't part of the online store offering, but my good friend and fellow native of this region, Mr Sporran (!) has alterted me to their availability in the club shop!! I am making calls and hopfully my near perfect collection from 1992 to the present day can be preserved. Wish me luck!!

Elusive!
