And so with some slick organisation and a professional mailshot, Weymouth FC announced its pricing policy for season 2007/08.
There are of course a number of winners, especially with the early payment options with the main losers being those who attend matches infrequently (due to the increase in gate price for terracing) and the OAPS.
I am only the first of those and whilst I shouldn't let myself get drawn in by comments on the message board and react. I do very much object to being called a "casual" supporter because I don't attend every fixture at the Wessex.
Thin and thin I have stuck with this football club and I will be the judge of my level of support and loyalty. Supporting your club is about more than just how many times you make the turnstile click...
Ok rant over. On to the positives. Apart from the ticket pricing, and you know what if I going to do a 450 mile round trip I will stretch to the Premier Stand tariff, the club launched its new official website (which if you don't know the link you can access due south east of this post in the links section).
Theterras.co.uk has been a rollercoaster ride for whom ever has deemed themselves up to the challenge of satisfying the news hungry supporters of one of non-league footballs most demanding clubs. We all remember Paul O'Reilly and his great efforts in getting the site going. I loved the match videos and "Paolo" if you are reading, do you still have the mpegs? I have some space on here if we can arrange their uploading.
Anyone for the Craig Mansell wondergoal away at Hastings again?
After Paul on his own came his collaboration with Steve Dadd. They did well to steer the clubs internet ship through some fairly turbulent and choppy water. Water which claimed this site in its old guise.
When they had enough, in stepped Mark, who has continued to get great photos and provide loads of content.
The new site looks awesome and whilst I retain a healthy level of skepticism on matters WFC, for me this is a PR thumbs up today and I look forward to the new site getting a link to TerrasBlog on in the next 10 minutes!!
The other thing to come out of the press coverage and promotional flyers today was that a free away kit would be allocated to anone getting a season ticket and getting a friend to join up.
The picture was a bit small but, naturally, you can rely on TerrasBlog towers to get the scoop and if you didn't see my post on the forum here it is...
Are we Cov in disguise?
