Some mixed news in the Echo last night regarding the Wessex Stadium retained list.

Stuart Beavon and Scott Doe will be welcome retainees in John Hollins' (JHMBE) squad. Anton Robinson has been "up and down" according to local correspondents of mine and Marcus Browning hasn't really been a success.

But, the former Bournemouth man has a second chance to make a first impression after many people thought he would make an exit when Jason "The Tan" Tindall took the long walk in January.

Terrasblog has a whole summer to discuss the rights and wrongs of last season and to discuss the impact of various off field activities on the on field performances. A lot of people will say that is going over old ground, but there are certainly lessons which can be learned and I have to say that despite the off cautionary word coming my way about the future of the club, on the park I have every confidence that we can enjoy a less turbulent campaign on the park next time out with an annonymous mid table finish.

Those of you who remember the first TerrasBlog will remember it was all about taking the mick out of Yeovil and Dorch as well as selling Steve Claridge boxer shorts...

Things have become a lot less jovial and a lot more serious around our club since then so it is important that we can have a laugh in the 'fanzine' style. I am more guilty than most of taking myself to seriously and getting caught up in land ownership/club ownership type issues. I hope that we can use this blog to get round that and have a bit of fun with our football.

It's going to take a litte time to get the smile back but I am happy to have another stab (without trying to sell you t-shirts and boxer shorts for now!!).
