Morning all, despite there being very little news about I am finding it enjoyable being back on the blog and hopefully this is the first week of many for the new site.
Without wanting to do a blurb, it would be great if you all could have a little nose around the Oleole network whilst you are here. It's a bit like a myspace or facebook for footy fans, so you will find plenty to keep you entertained (if TerrasBlog doesn't fill your day!).
It was tough watching Gary Johnson and his Brizzle City side getting to Wembley last night. I have no time at all for him and his Yeovil type tendancies, and whilst City can clearly be a big club, you have to wonder what possible good can come out of either them or Hull City (as is looking likely) being in the top flight.
I could rant on for hours (and probably will when the summer lull gets really bad) about how bad for football the Premiership is, but this is supposedly about Weymouth. So let's get on with the scraps of Terras news we do have.
Nick Crittenden's departure was confirmed in the local press yesterday and whilst it may be controversial to say so, I think it is a good thing that he has left the Wessex. He never really hit the heights with us and I hope that JHMBE can spend the money his wages would have cost (remember Nick was signed in the Hill era!!) on a player a little less injury prone.
Ex Terras supremo Steve Claridge was convicted of a driving offence yesterday, and whilst you could say his excuse wasn't water tight (boom boom) it is sad to see and I hope that CiG has learned from the experience.
Finally for today, thanks to a contact at the club for pointing out that the Terras version of the kit previewed yesterday will differ from the off the peg version Prostar produce.
The club's one will have sky blue sleeves (so you will need to look at the picture below and imagine!!) and of course the new or existing crest and new sponsor. Happy to point that out.
All the best matey, hope to see TerrasBlog rise from the camphor again one day.
