After some disruption earlier in the week, we have entered the weekend in off season business as usual mode.
Matt Hale has added two more players to his squad as we build towards the big kick off (which we will be officially calling it from now on).
Kyle Critchell needs no introduction to Terras fans having played for us during 2007/08. He was a Jason Tindall signing but let's not hold that against him.
Critchell was sold to Wrexham last summer to raise much needed funds for the club but barely featured before being loaned first to York City and then in the final month of the season back to Weymouth.
So an eventful last 12 months in the Dorset lads life and the fact that having had his choice of clubs, some of whom were at a higher level, he decided to pitch into our cause is positive for me.
I fully expect him to be handed the armband of captain.
The second player through the in-door is Hector Mackie. I know next to nothing about him other than the fact he resembles Joey Barton.
He played for St Albans City last season, which we wont hold against him, and also had a spell at Potters Bar Town during the run in.
Welcome Hector.
You would hope that the quiet on the finance front will now mean that we are making progress and that the clubs ability to go out and sign the likes of Critchell would indicate we are more confident of making the start of the season intact.
Fingers crossed eh?
Crikey...both you and ladyarse are down with colds. Get well soon mate! Bring o...
Yeah we will, we'll still be here until A) the world ends or B)when humans leav...
Sounds like a plan.. Just need to convince Mrs TerrasBlog to put off Christmas ...
An exiles rants about the off field goings on in Weymouth, and occasionally football!
