The Dorset Evening Echo have long been criticised by those with an interest in Weymouth Football Club.
The relationship has been from sweet to sour for as long as I can remember with both sides being accused of either 'not giving enough access' in the case of the club and 'using too much creative license' in the case of the Echo.
It is clear that our reporter was close to the former administration. Too close for some who have accused the paper of being Mr Calder's mouthpiece during his tenure and beyond.
This website has nailed its colours to the mast and stated that it is "BACKING THE BOARD".
Time for the Echo to do the same and properly moderate the comments on their articles.
Why not support the club and help them? It could be more news worthy than you think and actually increase news paper sales...
Worth thinking about, now there is a rival paper in town.
