Football is an amazing game isnt it? It can enthrall and entertain you like no other sport in the world...
Some days though it can leave you feeling sick to the pit of your gut. I love Weymouth FC, or at least I think I do, everything is up in the air at the moment.
Even reading the forum in the last five minutes has left me astonished to the amount of comments showing a lack of consideration for Rushden fans.
Let me fill you in if you are late home from work. The Rushden ownership dream team of Colin Hill and Lee Power is carrying out due dilligence on taking over Weymouth FC. It would leave the Diamonds high and dry, but some of our supporters dont seem to care.
Power was Chairman of Cambridge and Colin Hill is the brother of former Terras supremo Garry Hill. If you remember he was going to be the new owner about three owners ago. And then wasn't.
The other amazing news is that if these people don't take over our club we are going to skip administration and be liquidated straight away.
Three or four members of the supporters trust board are alleged to have resigned in recent days... where will it end?
Many fans are calling for support for the new owners (if they are to become new owners). For me it is the fans of Rushden that will need support if their club ceases to exist overnight.
This is the most ridiculous day in the most recent history of a ridiculous football club.
I am gutted.

A bit extreme Jimbo. Would Colin really see Garry put out of a job at the Dire Ones? Hill's involvement in the Terras does not automatically spell the end for R&D. 2+2=?
Time to put aside your negativity towards the individuals as we know the alterantive is unthinkable.

Hill not involved in the takeover or not involved with R&D? If it's the later, you don't have to look hard to find rumours of his involvement behind the scenes at R&D, he certainly has personal contacts at the club.
I take it this takeover does not meet with your approval. Tell me, where are the alternatives?
