hmmmph.
Coming back from illness to cycling training is tough. I had a little in the hillocks around this way tonight with 550ft of climbing. Not much in Dorset terms.
How was I going? Like a one legged blind dog going backwards through glue. There is plenty more training to be done once I am sure my cold symptoms are behind me.
Whilst I was out depositing snot into the grass verges of Northamptonshire my mind was wandering onto how I felt about Saturdays defeat at the hands of Dorchester Town FC.
And yes, I am still pissed off that we lost to them! I don't care if it is a friendly and I don't care if there was nothing riding on it. I don't want to lose to them at tiddly winks let alone football and I wonder if it is worth playing them in a friendly if we can't get a up for it as they can.
Of course after highlighting him in TerrasBlog on Saturday, Nick Crittenden reportedly put in a man of the match performance :0/ Shame he could barely string 3 or 4 matches together for us.
Let's hope for something better at against Southampton tomorrow eh?

Still ill, still miserable... can't get out on my bike to train so am going to watch the Tour de France on tv all day whilst checking how Terras are getting on against that mob over the Ridgeway.
Even in a pre-season friendly there is something special about a meeting with Dorchester. Crittenden's move there in the summer continued the trend of players flitting between the clubs (although I am not sure we have had anyone from them for a while... Ryan Cross??! the last one).
I fully expect this to be played in a fairly non-friendly atmosphere and I, of course, expect us to win. The thing is I suppose, as it is a few seasons since we played them none of our team will know what this derby means. But I would think the first five minutes will give them a clue!
Good luck Terras and let's teach the (yet another) new look Magpies a great big old footballing lesson.
A poorly fan up north demands nothing less :0)
All the best matey, hope to see TerrasBlog rise from the camphor again one day.
