Michael Carrick heaped praise on Dimitar Berbatov after he scored a spectacular opener in Manchester United's 2-0 win over Blackburn.
"It was a tremendous volley. That's what he's all about. We've seen him do it before and hopefully we'll see it many more times."
"He oozes quality in the final third and he perhaps could have had one or two more today."
"At times it was frustrating. But we've been in that situation many times before. The manager told us to be patient and he pointed out that that's where our experience comes in."
"We always believe that if we create chances we'll score. Thankfully Berba did that with a terrific finish and then Wayne sealed it with the second goal."
Berbatov was not the only man who caught Carrick's eye on Saturday.
"I thought Jonny Evans and Wes Brown were exceptional at the back."
"It's always important to keep a clean sheet. We don't want to leak goals and today we were very focused on defending. I thought we did well against Blackburn's long-ball threat."
On the other hand, Gabriel Obertan was happy with his debut against Blackburn, even though he was left to rue an embarrassing wasted chance.
However, he was more concerned with his shape and the team's win than the missed chance.
"I was disappointed to miss my chance, but I was very fit and it all went well because we won in the end."
"It's been four months now that I have been injured, so it was a good debut. I ran hard and tried to do my best."
"I think I need a bit of rhythm, a few games to be fully fit. It's going better and better and there's no reason to end it. I think I'll be better after a few games."
"I was a bit nervous, but after a few minutes it was gone. I really enjoyed the game and Pat Evra was just behind me encouraging me, so it was very good. With Pat it has been easier."
"I feel like I'm here for many years now so it is good to be here and I'm just enjoying it. I'll just keep working hard to be in the squad and we'll see what the manager will do."
Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson offered some sympathy to Obertan.
''Gabriel was a bit nervous when he came on. It was only his second game in seven months, so you have to put it in perspective."
"But then he settled down and did well. He is not happy with himself and that is a good thing.''
