Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli gave his opinion on Manchester City's gargantuan offer for Milan star Kaká, saying that if Juve ever got a 120 million euro offer for one of their stars, he would not give in.
"What if Manchester City offered us 120 million for [Gianluigi] Buffon or [Alessandro] Del Piero? We have never received an offer for Buffon," he said. "Juventus would never allow Del Piero to leave, he is the star, and he would never be interested in leaving Turin. We wouldn't sell him for 120 million euros.
"In any case, I think those kinds of investments are beyond any logic in a period where the world economy has to redimension itself."
Asked what he would do in Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani's place, Cobolli Gigli said: "He has too much experience for me to be able to step into his shoes. I saw him today, he is always calm, whether he wins, loses, or is involved in negotiations."
If Kaká's transfer to Manchester City does go through, it would be the most expensive in football history, with the previous record being the 75 million euros Real Madrid paid
Juventus for Zinedine Zidane in 2001.
