Arshavin Deal Done!

Well, my friends, it is a done deal! Andrei is an offical Arsenal player. He has signed on a 3 1/2 year deal. He passed the medical and agreed to terms on Monday. A statement on the offical Arsenal website, www.arsenal.com, said the following:

"Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that Russian international midfielder Andrei Arshavin has joined the Gunners from Zenit St Petersburg on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee."

Arshavin told Sky Sports News:

"I am happy to be here. I became a Gunner some time ago and I'm happy now. I will do my best."

It is unknown if Andrei will be able to be in the squad for the Gunner's next match against struggling Tottenham. When asked, Arshavin said the following:

"I must be ready by Friday or Saturday, but I am not fit now. It will be decided by Arsene (Wenger) if I can play or not."

Tymoschuk Drama

The one thing that you have to love about the transfer window is the amount of crazy rumors. This is no exception. It seems that our captain Anatoliy Tymoschuk has been linked to clubs like Bayern Munich and Manchester City and United. A statement has been posted on the offical Zenit website, www.fc-zenit.ru stating the following:

"FC Zenit would like to declare, that information about Anatoly Tymoschuk's transfer to another club, which was published in some media is not true. As of this moment Anatoly has an active contract with FC Zenit. Signing of new contract by Tymoschuk is only possible in the summer transfer window, when FC Zenit will be able to consider offers from other clubs."

This story may reer its ugly face in the very near future. One thing of for certain though, Bayern player Tymoschuk is not going to be written for a long time.

New Signing

With the Tymo and Andrei drama, I have had little time to write about our new addition to the team. Hannover 96 have let go of Szabolcs Huszti. He is now a Zenit player and he has offically passed the medical and has joined the team in the second leg of their training camp in Turkey. Speaking of team training camp, Nicholas Lombaerts has made a full recovery and is now back with the team.

That is all for now. Stay tuned. :D

Exactly!! I dont want him to go to Bayern...anywhere but Bayern! I would even take Man Yoo over Bayern!
