Yep, you guessed it, it's all about the ex-25 today. As we all exploded on Saturday I tweeted that he was probably sat at home wondering what the hell all the fuss was about. This is confirmed by his double page spread in today's Sun stating 'I don't know what I've done wrong.' At a time when you would expect ANY manager to condemn this sort of behaviour Mark Hughes has chosen the route of 'no malice meant.' Well, Mr. Hughes, you musn't have watched the video too closely, or saw the previous incidents in the match, or saw this back page image in the Sun:
(If you can get a copy of the paper it is A LOT clearer - but trust me, you will never see intent as clear on anyone elses face. Bearing your teeth is the most fundamental and feral sign of aggression you can get.)
Saying the referee had a good view of it and judged it to be neither worthy of a red or yellow card just proves what a twat Clattenburg is, not the intent. There can be no question of intent, and Mark Hughes has chosen to learn the hard way what a lying sack of shit the ex-25 is.
It is no shock that Roy Keane says he doesn't deserve to be banned. He is the only person along with the ex-25 and Mark Hughes then.
My Man U supporting mate in work popped into the office I was working in to tell me that the FA were going to charge him with THREE offences (not including the incitement...not sure if that's coming later). He said the charges related to the stamp on Cesc, the one on VP, and a slap on Song (which I missed). He said he got it from Sky Sports News, but since I've been home I've been unable to locate it. Given that my mate didn't watch the match, I wonder where he got the info about the slap from as it wasn't reported anywhere over the weekend or in this morning's papers.
I hope they do, throw the fucking book at him - and make sure you get him right in the eye with the corner, and then throw the bookcase at him as well. If I was the FA, I'd even be tempted to charge Mark Hughes &/or Man City with failure to control their player as well. Why not? In for a penny, in for £25 million is what I say.
The force seems to be with Arsenal and fair play on this one and as the hours roll on, the charges mount against the ex-25. At this rate, we are looking at the very real possibility of him being banned for up to 9 games. Wonder how the loss of that amount of performance bonuses/goal bonuses will affect his retirement plan. Could we see him leave at Xmas as he states £180,000 a week is just not enough if he can't pad it out with bonuses? With him, anything is possible. Personally, I think it would be a shame if he were to leave the premier league before getting the opportunity to show how 'not scared' of a return to the Emirates he really is. I sense a tight hamstring. Or crutches by the end of the 90.
I suspect we will see a fine for Arsenal too, after all, a steward got clobbered by something and was knocked out. The FA will have to act on that, and the club might follow it up with bans to the fans who can be shown to have flung things. If they find out who threw the half-eaten sandwich I'd love to know. While I don't agree with throwing ANYTHING on to the pitch, there is a big, big difference between coins & a sandwich. Unless it has rotten chicken in it. As I know from last week, that can be very unpleasant.
The Man City fans (and Hughes to a degree) have been banging on about the tackle of VP on the ex-25 was a 'leg breaker' but if you watch it, I'll say you agree that NIk's on him in the first half was a lot worse. There's nothing like trying to deflect. The City fans are also harping on about how VP apparently ran to the City fans and mouthed 'Fuck off' and we don't hear them calling for a ban. I saw that slightly differently. Yes, he shouted 'Fuck off' at the City fans, but did he run to them? Was he not surrounded on three sides by City fans so pretty much anywhere he went would have been in front of the City fans. Did he used to play for City? Did he run 90 yards to shout 'Fuck off' at them? Had he tried to break three City players prior to his celebration? I think not.
As of the time of writing this, there has still been no word on Eduardo's ban and whether UEFA have come to their senses or not. It is not in the realms of the implausible for them to increase his ban, after all, they follow no precedent and have stated that they have no intention of following this one once they have set it. They are, like the FA, a law onto themselves.
And that's where I'll leave it for today. I can't believe how angry I still am at the ex-25. Will it fade? Not anytime soon...

Have we considered the possibility that *cough* might just not give a monkey's?
I don't think we can blame Clattenberg, at least for van Persie - though the decision not to award a card for the Cesc ankle stamp was poor. It took two camera angles in slow mo to show the incident. The first angle shows the intent and the second, from clattenberg's view, shows contact. Each angle on their own would not be conclusive enough. I'd initially thought he stamped on robin's hand.
You read The Sun, LA?
If I want to blame Clattenburg I shall
lol he missed a stonewall penalty, a stamp on Cesec (actually, he didn't miss that, just thought it wasn't worth punishing with more than a free kick), a slap on Song, a hack at Song, booked Sagna when Bellamy had fouled him and gave them the free kick from which they scored, and generally was as inept as always. O, and Richards was offside for their first as well...an all-round first class refereeing display from the hair-plugged one.
The standard of refereeing this season has been very poor.
I have to for work unfortunately
We believe you.
I also have to read the Daily Star, which is so bad I actually find myself treating the Sun as a 'proper' paper after reading the it...urrrghhhh
It could be worse you could have to read the Daily Sport or whatever it's called.
The holy trinity, heh heh...
I got accused by my mate of getting on my high horse because I won't allow him to bring it into the house.
At least I could look at the pictures
LMAO
I didn't know they had pictures.
Refereeing has been a joke when we have been away, you are right. I hope that doesnt seem to continue. whats everyone got against Arsenal at the mo?
I suppose if a few things went our way people would say it was favouritism in our direction.
