Happy Christian Christmas Morning to you. I'm not a christian, so happy day-off-work-get-lots-of-free-stuff day.
Short and sweet today for the obvious reasons.
Watching Wenger's web chat part 2 (it's free on Arsenal TV) he was asked what was his favourite city, his answer couldn't have been more gooner. Off course, he said Paris as he knows it quite
well, but he said he doesn't know London very well. He loves where he lies and he only knows North London. Are there other parts?
His football hero growing up? Pele. He wants kick ins instead of throw ins. Makes sense to me, it is football afterall.
Wenger also talked about Chesney, saying that Arsenal see him as a future 'great, great' goalkeeper (his two greats not mine) but also gave some clue as to when we might start seeing him as
number 1. I had said yesterday that you could money on Chesney being number 1 at Arsenal in two years making him 21. I might have been a bit off given that Wenger sees a goalkeeper starting to
make an impact at 24 (as opposed to strikers at 19). That's five years for Chesney, so plenty of time for that new keeper you're going to sign in January to make a name for himself eh

I haven't had time to watch part three yet due to xmas & laziness-related stuff, but I'm looking forward to it
After listening to Alan Davies's podcast, It's up for grabs now, it sparked a discussion in work which lead to, in a very convoluted way, me realising that I knew very little about Wenger the
man. (BTW if you haven't been listening to It's up for grabs now, you simply HAVE to go and listen to it. It's 30 minutes of pure hilariousness all centred around Arsenal and slagging off
opponents.) Anyway, it led me to discovering a load of really interesting stuff about Le Boss which I will be sharing with you in future posts.
A few media reports have us linked (once again) with Huntelaar, this time however, on a six-month loan deal which actually sounds like a good move to me. Everybody says we need another striker,
and we do, but we don't need a permanent one, What we do need is a guy who is playing crap at his current club and wants to prove himself to make sure of his world-cup place. How can we lose?
If he carries on his crap form them we're no worse off, and if he scores a few then result. And he'd be free so he's right in Wenger's price bracket.
I guess we'll have to wait and see, and with January just around the corner, we can but wish that any business is completed as quickly, early, and hitch-free as the Verminator's transfer in the
summer.

Merry Christmas to you your Ladyship. I'm in more or less the same boat but with kids & family I soldier on against my will and force myself to stay off work, eat the food, drink the drink and open the pressies.
Hope santa was good to you...as usual, my family excelled themselves with far too many gifts, too much food, and too much drink...superb stuff....now bring on the footie
