With Robbie Keane having passed his medical at Liverpool Football Club today. It appears that his transfer from Tottenham Hotspur is a mere formality. And a player who at the end of last season, pledged his future to our club, has, at the first time of asking, jumped ship.
In my opinion, the pointy finger shouty bloke, has made the wrong move. Unlucky Robbie. You could have played an instrumental part in our plans this season, and in doing so, break that top four monopoly, and earn the Champions League football your class deserved. Yet you choose to go to the supposed team you have supported all your life, I am quite certain though that I have heard you in the past refer to your boyhood love of Celtic, anyway, you have jumped ship for nothing more than money, and the guarantee of CL Football.
Had you been just a little more patient, you could of had all of those things at White Hart Lane. And I for one am saddened by your lack of loyalty to our cause. I understand why you have gone, and had you of kept your mouth shut at the end of the season, I could have let you go with best wishes. But my old chum, you uttered those words, in my view, as a swipe at Berbatov and his lack of loyalty. Lol at least the Bulgarian has been pretty honest from the start, and to be fair, the lad deserves to be playing at the top level, just a shame he couldnt help us get to that top level. Never the less Robbie you piped up, and spoke false promises to the fans that, for five or so years now have payed your wages, and shown you love.
Unfortunately my friend, no longer shall i chant your name, show you my love and pay your wages, and watch you ply your trade in the beautiful colours of the lillywhites! Such a shame. You WOULD have been a legend, alas you are just another mercenary, to be forgotten and replaced. I cannot hold the club to any blame in you departure, £18 Million is very good business. And should go a long way to finding someone more adapt to Juande Ramos` style of play.
So adieu robbie, hope you win fcuk all this season and next, and dont think you can come back next season when the Spurs break the top four at the scousers expense!!

With players now apparently using our club as a stepping stone to go sit on a bench somewhere else. What can we do as a club to make them commit long term. Are there loyalty clauses in players contracts, you would think that surely there must be, but it seems that whenever a so called bigger club flutters its eye lids. They all go a running, despite pledging their soul to the club. Do we, like our foreign counterparts install buy out clauses of astronomical values into our players contracts. Do we pay players a loyalty bonus. Obviously success is the only way to sacure loyalty, but there must be more we can do, no?
