After demolishing Sporting Gijón 7-1 on Wednesday night one might think that Real Madrid would stick with the same team for this weekends match against Real Betis, however, it appears not.
Manager
Bernd Schuster has decided to leave out both
Fabio Cannavaro and
Michel
Salgado from the squad that travel to Sevilla and in their place return
Christoph Metzelder and
Sergio
Ramos.
So far the German has been very keen to shuffle his defence, with none of the four mentioned above having playing more than two league games to date.
Also out of the squad are the injured Fernando
Gago,
Guti and
Wesley
Sneijder, although the latter has trained with a ball and the rest of the squad after his knee injury.
Schuster has decided not to risk him though for
this trip to Real Betis which could see Real Madrid go top of the league for the first time this season.
Last seasons league champions have won three games in a row after losing their first match to Deportivo La Coruña and they will no doubt be keen to pick up all three points against a struggling
Betis side on Saturday.
