After England, David's back to play tonight

Thursday, 23 August 07, 12:02 PM

Believe it or not, but David is about to play tonight under the Galaxy Jersey against Chivas, one day after his performance with the national English team in Wembley yesterday.

England unfortunately lost against Germany (2-1) but Beckhams played the full game and gave a strong and solid match. He immediatly flew back in California, where he's expected to play tonight.

His ex-coach in Madrid, the Italian Fabio Capello, gave yesterday another prospective of what happened in Real's locker room. Chech this out here :

Beckham's magnificient goal !

Thursday, 16 August 07, 05:29 PM

David made great debuts yesterday: he finally scored his first goal in Major League Soccer and gave a great advantage to the Los Angeles Galaxy. The Angelinos beat D.C. United 2-0.

Beckham scored a magnificient free kick, proving that his ankle's injury is only a bad memory. The Spice Boy showed all his class offering the second goal to captain Landon Donovan. People who were already criticizing him now are welcome to shut it up.

He made it !

Monday, 23 July 07, 11:09 AM

What an event ! Saturday July 21st 2007 will be a date to remember in the History of sport in the USA. For the first time, soccer superstar David Beckham played under the Los Angeles Galaxy jersey (number 23) against the all-star british team of Chelsea.

I have to admit, the game itself was a little disappointing with, clearly, two teams still ajusting. Chelsea, at some moments, was quite impressing. But only for some movements on the field.

The suspense was : will David play ? With its left ankle injured, he stayed on the bench most of the time....until this 77th minute, when he entered for someting like 15 minutes. I thought he was kind of clearly handicaped, but I think he had a good time. So did the over-excited crowd of the Home Depot Center. Even with a 1-0 loss, it was a good day for the Galaxy...and for soccer in the US.

Beckham and Shaq

Thursday, 19 July 07, 04:19 PM

"Bringing a past-his-prime David Beckham to the United States to sell soccer to Americans would be like bringing a past-his-prime Shaquille O'Neal to Mexico to try to sell basketball to Mexicans".

This statement is made by Gabriel Ochoa, sports editor of newspaper La Opinion. Woww. I think this is kind of insulting for David who deserves respect. He's one of England's best player in History and is still at his top level. You will see, Mister Ochoa.

What do you think about that ?
